Riva homestay Darjeeling

I was looking for a decent homestay at north point, darjeeling in my preferred app makemytrip and kudos to them making my reservation at riva home stay. Though it was a stay of one night only, there was not a single thing to complain. The host, mr subal is really great. The owner, mono ji is also very humble and polite lady. The room was more than my expectations with clean attached washroom. The room has big glass windows with magnificent views of kanchenjunga. The in house restaurant serves hygienic, tasty yet less spicy foods. Of course the menu card does not offer an array of delicacies, but these simple foods truly bring a homelike feeling. The methi parathas are a must try. I was lucky enough to taste their momos and they are quite unparalleled, both qualitywise and quantity wise. I would like to recommend this homestay to each and every traveller. Location is also great, just a few minutes walk from bus stand. Other tourist attractions like ropeway, happy valley tea garden, zoo, st joseph's, japanese peace pagoda, tenzing nor-gay rock climbing, toy train are very nearby.

Riva Homestay is located in hill cart Road, nearby Darjeeling zoo and HMI. It can be easily reached by a shared car for Rs 10 per person or Rs 60 if you are planning to reserve a car. It is located in a peaceful locality. The view from our room was enchantingly sublime and uninterrupted as there are few building nearby as compared to other prime locations in Darjeeling. The owners are lively and extremely generous. Riva is a Homestay and the owners will keep no stone unturned to make you feel a part of their home. Food is another reason to be at Riva. Didi will prepare delicious but incredibly healthy food. I would personally recommend trying their steamed mos. Gentle advice would be to treat your host with respect and kindness. Keep in mind that this is not a Riva homestay Darjeeling but a portion of a family home. Respect their rules and you will have a memory to cherish forever. Looking forward to my next stay at Riva Homestay.

The stay was very comfortable, the location was also nice but, it is a little far from the main market. So to visit the market we have to take a taxi or Rikshaw. Room was very comfortable and had a balcony. One can enjoy the view of the mountains and the greenery from the balcony. The owner lady was very helpful and caring, she creates a home-like atmosphere. The food she served was amazing. There was a little problem with the wi-fi connectivity. Veg and non-veg both were available. In veg, she served organic food. Everything was good and I will definitely recommend this property to my friend and family.

We stayed here for one night. The room we stayed was pretty small. With limited outside view. But it was cosy and clean. The homestay is around 1. 5 km away from main darjeeling mall area and is pretty empty after sunset. It's just opposite to the entrance of zoo and h mi which is an added bonus. The veg thali was quite good and cheap. Owners are quite friendly and well behaved. Overall a nice place to stay away from hustle and bustle of main market area just on the lebong cart road.

Though it was little away from Chawkbazar and our room was little small, but zoo, Ropeway we're nearby. Tasty and delicious foods were added attraction. But the hospitality and reception of the hosts really touched us. Always willing to help and simplicity of them made our stay memorable one.

The location of the Homestay is excellent. This Riva homestay Darjeeling can be found easily by stranger. It is opposite off zoo main entrance. The price of the food was moderate. The aunty has behaved well with us. She was very cheerful and helpful. I would like to revisit that place.

The rooms are great, its kinda a cozy and clean with proper bathroom and stuff! the people there were very friendly, also they guide you to go to the proper restaurant n all rive also have there own restaurant and i would definitely recommend you guys to try the food there.

I had a wonderful experience staying at riva homestay exactly opp to darjeeling zoo. The hospitality and warmth extended by the hosts were truly exceptional. The room, food and ambiance exceeded my expectations. I felt really home away from home.

Room and its cleanliness were up to the mark, it was also having a mountain view. Security was perfect, recommendable property for family stays, food was good, and it was vegetarian, staff and the services were really good.

Really what a great place to stay. Just below the zoo. Moreover great hospitality from the owners. Added food was also very good. Room was also very neat and tidy. But television was a big Miss though. Must stay at least once to believe.

Nice Homestay opposite to the zoo. Rooms are cozy and small. Only no tv but everything else is fine. View of the Valley is also not bad.

The location of the honestay is very good. Zoo, hmi, bnh museum, mahakal temple, nightingale park and 2 view points are just walking distance from here. Also, the behaviour of owner was awesome
