The ambiance is beautiful. A River flows right in front of the resort in which you can have a Bath. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are frequent power cuts but the generator will be switched on upon informing them. Hot water, towels, bedsheets are provided. It is at a walkable distance from Meenmutty water Falls. A bus to Ponmudi hill is available right in front of the resort. The bus frequency is less and autos are very expensive so you have to plan your travel. Overall good experience. If you are looking for a place to stay on account of some work in IISER TVM then there are cheaper options available in Vithura bus stand. The food is not great but not bad either. There are no other Rivercountys nearby so you will have to make do with the resort food. The ladies in charge of room service are friendly and helpful.

Had booked this because the Ponmudi had become full. On getting here I was pleasantly surprised by the location. There is stream with clear water flowing right next to the resort. There is a small bridge to get to the resort from the main road which again was a unique experience. The staff were helpful. Some of them were experienced while some were still novices. Food was good. The morning buffet could do with some more variety. The restaurant could be done up a little. It is beside the river. So wooden chairs instead of plastic could have given it a more premium feel.

From booking itself I got only positive vibes, an upgrade was given upon my request on reasonable price. Also the property is clean, with a nice view, and tasty food. You have to Park the vehicle in their restaurant or parking space and to cross a hanging bridge across the River, which I scenic. Also on chargeable basis they will be able to arrange campfire and we prepare fish barbecue and, also PONMUDI, which offers a breath taking view, is in close proximity, about 30 minute drive only, overall the experience was satisfying.

We stayed at the resort for treatment at a nearby alternative medicine center. The resort is quite spacious (not the rooms) and well-maintained. The Kallar River takes a U-bend around the resort. One can go down the stairs and stroll by the River side. The river is narrow, but dangerous, with stones and rocks all around and if it rains upstream, the flow is quite high. Food was okay (not much choice). Service was good, they would take care of everything if you ask.

We had a very pleasant stay at Rivercounty with family. The ambiance here is very special. The rooms are well maintained and clean washrooms. Food was nicely prepared according to our choices. The staffs are helpful and very kind. Kids really enjoyed the Kallar river nearby. Overall a memorable trip. We look forward visiting again.

It is the best location you can get in the area. The downstream of Meenmutty Falls, Kallar flows in through the resort and one can have a refreshing Bath in the clear water stream .. And just 2km from falls and 20 km from Ponmudi peak. Good value for money food option

A smallish resort with basic amenities. Simple rooms and baths. Pleasant staff. Location in forest and by the Kallar River is real nice. A decent alternative to staying on top of Ponmudi since bathing at Kallar River is possible here. Dinner was decent too.

The Rivercounty is located on the shore of kallar river and access to river. The green surrounding and natural pathways and the beautiful bridge give a good feeling. Very courteous staff and above average food. The food menu is short but cost effective.

It was an awesome experience staying here. Beautiful atmosphere, good food and most importantly very kind and friendly staff. I like the view and the location of this resort, on the whole it was worth choosing Rivercounty Rivercounty.

The location is excellent, but the room service is not upto the mark, food is OK. Pure vegetarians will have problem as they have both. The restaurant is far away from the rooms.

View from the resort is very good. You can enjoy river side bath. Room is not so good. Food is good. No indoor pool.
View from the room is very good. But it is not a deluxe type room. It can be considered as a normal room with ac facility.

Calm and peaceful location with the effect of a forest on a River bank. In addition to this cooperative staff to make the Rivercounty the best choice to chill out.
