Amar Mahal

The Amar Mahal is located at a stone throw away from the orchha cenotaph and even walkable distance from the fort and chaturbhuj temples. The property is built in the form of a palace with large rooms, huge courtyards and a royal feel experienced the moment one walks in to the property the moment i checked in i was memerised by the decoration at the reception. The seatings, the walls, decor was each better than the other. The walk to the room from the reception was special and i was forced to pull out my camera and start recording. At each corner there was seating for the families to seat and have a good time. One can even sit and have their meals here. My room was large with all state of the art traditional furnitures. The huge windows especially caught my attention and i sat there over a cup of coffee admiring the manicured mughal garden in front of my eyes. The ceilings of the rooms were painted and each item inside the room displayed class and royalty the moon is beautiful with its craters. The same analogy was clearly visible. I think the entire water pipelines need a serious maintenance. Let me highlight the reason for this observation. I checked in to a room that was deluxe category. Unfortunately i couldn’t take a shower as only hot water flowed out from the tap making it impossible to take a bath. The water was too hot and scared me of serious burns. The maintenance staff tried their level best but couldn’t understand why the tap supplying the normal water was not functioning. Very embarrassed with the situation i was transferred to another lesser room. Here the taps behaved exactly opposite to the previous room! here the hot water tap was not functional and the cold water was. Anyway i didn’t complain because i managed having a shower in normal water. Having said that i over heard other guests complaining about the same problem during my stay. I opted to dine in at the restaurant. The staff especially santosh was extremely kind and warm and made me comfortable. I am rating the Amar Mahal 4 instead of 3 only because of his behaviour and his passion to make guest happy. To begin with i had a chicken clear soup that i relished. I followed it by ordering garlic nana and bundelkhand chicken that was too oily to my liking. At the end i had fruit custard that i liked. The ambiance of the restaurant was class personified and i would request guests not to leave the opportunity of having a meal here overall i recommend to stay here with friends and family just because of the property. A heritage property with a king size luxury lifestyle. Beautiful ambience, green cover all around, very pleasing courteous staff. The rooms are specially designed and hand crafted painted ceilings, spacious rooms and airy windows and doors ors. Each single element has a design purpose, thoughtfully planned and above all to give a luxury stamp to the proper. The food at the restaurant is anazing - very gourmet style. We had bundekhandi chicken, pane-er kofta and pastas. The caramel pudding is something to die for. Simple simply delicious. A stay my family will remember for aong time to cone. Special mention for mr to-mar who coordinated our stay so well. Definitely worth your money and will leave you to longing to cone back.

Rightly claimed to be a luxury Amar Mahal. It looks like a royal palace. Rooms are very spacious and interior is nicely done. All modern amenities are available. Restaurant is ambient and food is great. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Specially would like to mention about Mr. Sudhanshu, the in- charge who personally looks after the guests and sees to it that the guests are fully satisfied and have no complaints. Resolves the problems, if any, immediately. Also would like to mention the receptionist Mr. Dinesh who is very helpful. The overall experience is excellent.

It's unfortunate that this Amar Mahal is not advertised enough and available on limited booking. I chanced upon this Amar Mahal and was impressed from the moment i stepped in it. Its at a walking distance from kanchan ghat, fort and all other sites at orchaa. The swimming pool was wonderful and clean and to top it all off, their food was amazing too! the only issue we had was with the water pressure in the washroom. The water hardly made it through the shower, we had to manage with the hand shower which had an ok flow when used at a waist level.

A Amar Mahal in the close vicinity of Jehangir Mahal, Betwa river and Chaturbhuj temple, the Amar Mahal is a very comfortable stay. From a traditional welcome with wonderful flute musician and hassle-free front desk reception, the stay was awesome. We stayed from 18th to 20th October 2018 with my family members. The staff are helpful and courteous. The dining room is good although the waiting time seemed to be more. Overall a good value for money.

Orchha is a tiny little town on the banks of Betwa river. The Amar Mahal is walking distance from the river bank and the most beautiful attraction of Orchha, the Cenotaphs or Chattris on the river bank. The Amar Mahal is a heritage property and very well maintained. The swimming pool was not very clean, but that's maybe because we visited during the monsoon and it's not easy to maintain an outdoor swimming pool during spells of rain. The food is good albeit not so elaborate menu. Overall, very nice, affordable and comfortable stay.

Before reaching the place I had not dreamed about the location, and specially the resort vicinity is superb. Good food (but limited options), royal theme interior, 5 feet swimming pool. Perfect place for you weekend. Winter night might be more fascinating. You can find bunch of foreigners. The resort need some improvement like offering welcome drinks, reception could be more friendly-like greet with a smile and a good bye, pool side food-drinks- it will be served -it is just like cherry on the top.

The Amar Mahal is located very near to raja ram temple, fort and river. The restaurant is small, but serves good food. The bar was not working, due to license not renewed.
The Amar Mahal location, ambiance, and structure was good. The Amar Mahal was very near to raja ram temple and river was near by. The food was good. The room we booked was suite, there were maintance issues like shower cabin and toilet seat was broken/issues, water pressure issue.

We booked for 2 nights and the service was amazing. The location is also good with Betwa on one side and market on the other. The food is also good and definitely try is chicken Bundelkhandi. Thank you for the service and hope to see again.

Excellent property to visit good site scene and hospitality

Amar mahal orchha is a delight. No other Amar Mahal / resort in a 10 km radius comes close to it's ambience, facilities and luxury feel. All major attractions like the orchha fort, chaturbhuj temple, ram raja mandir are at a walking distance from the Amar Mahal.

Nice food, great view and comfortable stay

Rooms were good and spacious. Property was clean and well maintained. Service could have been better. Overall, a nice stay at amar mahal. My review is completed. Nothing more to add.

The stay was good; however, was unable to get connect to the house keeping department via the intercom kept there. Overall, a good experience and loved the property.

The property is located next to the betwa river near the cenotaphs. I nice property with great ambience located closer to the areas of interest, has a great view of the city from the terrace. The staff are quite helpful. A very nice and satisfying stay.

I had stayed there for three days and i experienced the best in class hospitality and ambience at the Amar Mahal. Special mention to mr rajesh for beautiful tunes of flute. This property has awesome rooftop view and tastefully crafted rooms. Full value for the money. Thanks.

Architecture of Amar Mahal is obviously unique, food was excellent. The location of the Amar Mahal has added more exoticism. Overall it was very nice experience.
