Apoorva Resort

We got a good corner room on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the highway — not a great view but there is hardly any life in the area around the resort, so the view is inconsequential. I must say, though that stepping out early in the morning on to the patio that overlooks the resort entrance and soaking in the atmosphere felt very good. We had two meals in the restaurant on the first day and, the next day tucked into the multi-option complimentary breakfast. The wait staff were courteous and helpful, even going to the extent of telling us why our first-choice dish for dinner was not a good idea. We certainly appreciated that tip. We needed some advice on the best route from the resort to Karwar. The general manager, Mr Sanjeev, overheard us making inquiries at the reception and stepped over to answer our questions. We went by his directions, preferring to ignore what Google Maps was telling us and we had a smooth, uneventful drive all the way to our resort in Karwar. We were told Apoorva is popular not only with those using it as a pitstop on the way to somewhere else but also with big companies that schedule off-site events here for their employees. And to cater to the burgeoning business, there is extensive room-construction work going on right now. The receptionist told us that they are expecting a full house in November-December. So book ahead of you're planning on staying here.

This property came as a surprise to me in mid of nowhere :)! Given the choices that we have at Davanagere I was hesitant to go ahead with any and every option that was available (unfortunately all of them were booked due to my short notice of inquiry). Luckily I got through Apoorva Resort which is like 12 Kms away from main town of Davanagere, but strategically located on the main highway. The place is clean, neat, tidy, well maintained lawn and rooms. Have come across finest of customer care executives (Basavaraju and his colleagues) they definitely have added some personal touch to the stay with their approach in helping me out. On the flip side, restaurant charges are rip off absolutely overpriced than a decent restaurant of Bangalore. The quality of food was average, nothing great about it. What took me for a surprise is one Omelette charged for Rs. 100 /-, this was just an example. They have a scope to re-look into the pricing aspects of their restaurant charges. Breakfast buffet was namesake, with three breakfast items in the menu ends with two set of fruits in the salad. Rest are chargeable! Overall my dining experience wasn't great as I felt it wasn't value for money. To sum it up this place is amazing with kind of rooms, service and peace of mind with no much pollution with the only drawback of their restaurant charges.

Stayed here for stopover during a long drive. Spent little time but was very good. Ambience is beautiful, clean rooms and linen. Swimming pool is a good attraction but water seemed a little hard. The property is very big and well designed and maintained. Staff is courteous and service is excellent. The restaurant has very good options for cuisine -Must try their Benne-Dosa. They have complimentary breakfast between 7:30-10:00am but the staff at reception might forget to inform you during check-in. Room tariff is slightly expensive but justified by the visually appealing interiors and facilities. Had a feeling they get more of corporate guests from companies around Davangere than families. Looked safe for families and couples though. Just beware of random men peeping from the pool view rooms when you are swimming. Overall its a very good resort conveniently located on the highway.

A good resort in terms of architectural fundamentals. Rooms are decent bathrooms are okay, may be this property is in the open and green area just because of that insects are seasonal flies were there in room too, food is spicy and tasty. Room service is slower than any other Apoorva Resort I stayed since last two-three years. The are of improvement is breakfast where they are not having any buffet and in order to that complimentary breakfast is not having the right exposure, since this the most crucial meal of the day and when you ordering the breakfast they are having only idli, vada, and masala dosa. If they can manage this issue it is a very good spot for me twice a month staying as i am a regular travelle (20 days in month).

Stayed overnight on way to Goa from Chennai. Chose this Apoorva Resort based on earlier reviews in various forums. Didn't regret my decision. First, the location is excellent - abutting NH4; no need to find your way as a stranger in a town. Front desk, both during check in & out was a tad slow. Otherwise, the service was good. Room, linen was clean and the bathroom was OK. Had dinner at the attached restaurant. Food quality and taste was good, and the service was OK. A word of caution - quantity of North Indian (Tandoori) dishes was too much for an individual. So, while ordering, one need to be careful about quantity. Next day breakfast was OK, not many items to choose from. Overall, very good place to stay.

The garden and the area around resort is good and it’s very close to highway. Room quality is average , there was only one towel and were told towels are not available. Cleanliness average. Restaurant service , food quality average. Swimming pool poor. No refund booking policy is not reasonable in today’s time. Area around the Apoorva Resort is really good and there is ample space for an evening/ morning walk. Very close to highway and the view from rooms are also good. Some improvement in room/bath room quality , a professional , trained and qualified property / restaurant manager and staff with proper attitude and service will make this property a great one.

The location is on the highway and the property is a luxury in itself. The infrastructure is excellent with all facilities that could lead to a comfortable stay. I find the wi-fi facility missing though. Few things to highlight for improvement - 1. Restaurant - Not all items mentioned in the menu card are available every time. We ordered Tandoori chicken for starter but they did not have it as the team was engaged in a Birthday Party in the hall. According to me this cannot be an excuse, irrespective of staff engaged in party hall, one should be able to provide the items mentioned in the menu-card. 2. Staff- Staff is yet to learn professionalism and manners.

Was pleasantly surprised since we did not expect much. It is a new property and the amenities are great. Food was nice and the ambiance too. The rooms are big and well lit with a balcony. Only two drawbacks - This is on the Highway around 7 km before Davangere. So unless you have your own transport, it might be difficult to reach there. 2nd drawback is do not dare to open the balcony door in the evening. All kinds of insects come to visit you. The Apoorva Resort staff were courteous and quick enough to sanitize the room before we could retire. Overall, a great experience and enjoyed it!

It is ideally located on BLR Highway and was close to our destination in Davangere. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a good property in Davangere to be frank. The tariff too wasn't very expensive. But the resort doesn't have any activities for the guests. On that front it is more apt to call it a Apoorva Resort than a resort.

The resort is exceptional of 5 star standards. Location is a landmark on the Highway. The multi cuisine restaurant serves delicious high quality food. Ample of Parking Place and Greenery within the resort.

All the safety related guidelines were followed by the resort properly like temperature checks

Nice property, with good location and quick access to davangere. Food options are good. Can bring in sports activities.

It's a great place to stay while on the road. It's not anywhere in the town but if you are travelling or passing through its a good place to stop. Vast grounds, good rooms and a decent restaurant and bar.

Excellent, facility. Good Bath room fittings. Need development behind the property. Garden and stone bunches can be arranged for night walk and relax. Morning exercise place and open Jim in Garden can be developed.

We stayed for a break journey. It is conveniently located on the highway itself. Hassle free and quick check in. Amazing hospitality and good food.
Very clean and well maintained place. Comfortable king sized bed.

The stay was good except for an unexpected celebration by a political party. Otherwise the room, service and response is very good. Can be suggested for a peaceful outing and stay. The room is comfortable and clean.

The chief receptionist needs training. For him customers are ejectable. He looks at you as if means to say "What are you doing here?" Though I had booked an executive room through MakeMyTrip he tried to sell to me a Studio! This is Traders mentality not service mentality. One major light in room 104 was not working. Staff had the cheek to say that there is enough light in the room. At least an apology, right? Hopefully management will give training to the staff soon. I plan to stay here again as overall it is a good and especially clean Apoorva Resort.

Rooms are very neat and fresh. Service also good. Walking track, 24 hour hot water yes ... It's really a best place for holiday accommodation. But the only problem is food. You can't get the tasty food here.

Nice resort, best property for weekend relaxation and for a halt on the highway.
