Beyond Stay Kastura Kanatal

I booked this place after reading a lot of reviews and the experience shared by travellers and I trusted Kastura to stay. What I felt there, I am writing it here under. Bads (eat the bad fog first) (1) This is not actually a resort. You will not find any garden or manicured lawns or anything. It's a Beyond Stay Kastura Kanatal with cottages like rooms placed next to each other in a row and a small open cemented terrace area with 8, 10 plastic chairs. The place gives a spectacular views but it can get crowd given the number of rooms that can be booked. Added to this there is a glass dining area which gives spectacular views again. (2) You need to climb a bit to reach reception. Like 35 odd big stairs which is tough for old age people. My parents are 62. They managed it. Definitely a no for 65+. (3) There is no bonfire because of pollution reasons. There are no indoor sports and the resort is at a secluded place. So you get a lot of time with your people. You can get hell bore as well. Depends on you. There is actually a lot less of what you can do. (4) Buffet breakfast items are limited and guess what, no cooked tea as well. Only tea bag one would be available on self serve. These are available in your room also and you can always ask for more. Goods: (1) The rooms are big, clean, cottage like, lot of wood being used, well designed and comfortable. You can expect a very good quality of sleep. Bathroom is good clean with hot and cold water. We stayed in premium cottage but Deluxe cottage is good for couple and small kid. (2) Very peaceful, serene, in lap of nature. (3) Staff is very courteous, very helping. (4) You can explore the area. There are handful of families living near by. You can go for nature walk. You can do yoga. You can have party with friend at open terrace. (5) Every guest is given a 15 minutes complementary Spa by a Ayurvedic professional. They have a range of Ayurveda products as well. (6) Hotel is very accessible by road plus mobile networks are available. I had Vodafone and 4G internet was working like anything. (7) Food was delicious but portions were small. It's delicious and its 2500 meter height. Tea/coffee are awesome.

Kastura is a new property and located on top of a hillock in Kanatal. So the pros first the owner is very hands-on and always ready to help. He ensures that the guests are comfortable, are being nicely catered to and do not face issues in his Resort. He comes over to the restaurant during breakfasts and dinners and always mingles with guests. Any minor complaints we had with the food taste, were immediately rectified. He makes you feel like family in his Resort rather than just random guests. the Resort is quite clean and tidy. You do not See any garbage or old stuff strewn Around. The cottages are cozy though slightly smaller than they look in pictures. There is a small 3-feet sit out area in front of each cottage where you could put out chairs and gaze at the Valley. the Resort has a tie-up with An Ayurveda company, therefore, you could get great massages at a reasonable cost. Add to the rustic charm of the place. The cons are the access steps to the Resort were in bad condition and therefore tough for kids to climb up. However, the construction of new steps had already begun while we were staying there. the front office staff needs more training. For every question or query, they need to go back to the owner to get An answer. Overall we saw all the evidence that the owner is trying his best to improve the facilities at the Resort even more and we enjoyed our stay at Kastura.

A tiresome drive from Delhi was worth the stay at Kastura Resort. A cozy place nestled in the midst of pine-covered mountains, it is a great place to unwind and be one with nature. The views are breathtaking from Kastura property and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Food is simple but yum. I took an Ayurvedic therapy and boy it came back refreshed and rejuvenated. I highly recommend this place for those who just want to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature this place provides. A note of suggestion, the climb from parking place to the resort is quite steep. Place take precautions if anyone has difficulty in climbing stairs due to physical conditions.

We had a very peaceful and pleasant stay. The cottage is spacious and well maintained. You will enjoy the nature and peaceful environment. It's 1.5 kilometers from Surkanda Devi temple. Pros (1) Great rooms. (2) Scenic views and great location. (3) Great service and good host. (4) Ayurvedic Spa (15 minutes complimentary). (5) Good food. (6) Great views from cottage from inside and outside. There are many pros. Only two cons (1) Tea is available for certain time only. (2) The car needs to be parked in roadside (although safe) after then a small need to walk little steep stairs. Forget about the cons, you'll definitely enjoy the stay there.

A beautiful property on top of a hillock in kanatal. Amazing view of the himalayan range in front of your room. Great hospitality from the staff there. The manager, mr. Anish is very helpful and quick to respond to your requirements regarding stay, food, travel-ling or trekking to nearby locations, like the trek to surkanda devi temple near by. Good, clean and spacious rooms with attached bathroom with hot water facility. Food in the dining area is also great! overall a very good option to stay at kanatal within budget. Beyond stay has properties at other locations like nainital & jim corbett and other locations over india. Go for it!

Kastura's location is great. It is situated at best location. You can see snow covered Himalayas from this Beyond Stay Kastura Kanatal clearly. Surkanda Devi Temple, main attractions of Kanatal is nearby. Rooms are neat and clean. Bathroom is neat and clean. Size of room and bathroom is also good. Service of Beyond Stay Kastura Kanatal is great. Whatever you order, they provide at earliest. I had stayed two times there. If someone is travelling to Kanatal or Dhanaulti than Kastura will be the right choice of stay. I travel frequently to hilly areas but I found Kastura the best Beyond Stay Kastura Kanatal in this price.

Location is awesome. Snow-clad mountains from your rooms, balcony, restaurants, everywhere. What else do you want? Rooms are spacious, clean, and airy. I stayed in premium cottage and I found it very good. All the cottages are independent by the way. Service is great. Polite, active and courteous staff. Food is good if not awesome. The owner is friendly and always eager to help. There is space everywhere in the property and in nicely ensconced within tall mountains. If you want to spend time with unspoiled nature and nothing else, do stay here. Every penny you spend is Worth it.

The place doesn't seem good at the first instance as it is situated on a hill (upside) but when you reach at the reception, you will See it's charm. The room is quite beautifully designed and maintained. The staff is very friendly and you would love talking to them. The food is hygienic and delicious also. Open area in the resort offers a perfect view towards the Himalayas which will surely attract anyone. In short a perfect resort to stay in.
The room was amazingly built and looks really sweet from inside with perfect size.

We were treated very politely and all our needs were taken care of. Would surely visit again. It is the vest Ayurvedic Spa in the area

Amazing location, as it overlooks the mountains. Really beautiful. Staff was extremely nice and courteous. There was a funny smell in the room and bed though. Dinner was amazing.

Excellent view, food quality is good n service is excellent.

Hotel and view everything was good but only constraints was you have to climb 30-65 stairs.
