The stay was average, not with the price honestly may 500 to 800 including taxes would work! coz it has a shared restroom and bathroom! i feel the price is high.

Great place to stay

I greatly enjoyed my stay at Chettinadu Packers. The hostel was spotless (including the bathroom and kitchen), with freshly washed and ironed sheets. As a Solo female traveler, I felt 100% safe. Akash, the hostel's manager, picked me up from the bus stand, gave me a map and many tips about what to see and do in the area. He also helped arrange a visit to a local tile making factory, which was greatly appreciated. Chettinadu packers are a great option if you don't want to spring for one of the pricier options in the area (which can be quite expensive). It's tucked amidst all the historic houses. I highly recommend renting a bicycle.

The hotel is in a pretty deserted town, but we came here to see the Chettinad attractions. The manager and the staff are extremely helpful, stay is a very comfortable and overall very pleasant experience. Would 100% recommend for budget travellers.

Memorable stay

My one day trip turned out to be full of surprises. Very few hotels/hostel take care of every detail. The management I see has managed to cover all the basic needs of a budget traveler. Definitely one of the cleanest places I have been and would recommend my friends as well. Facility for food is not available but the property manager Akash had made good arrangements for Chettinad cuisine. Very basic and homely. Damm tasty. The place is calm and clean, soothing to the soul. A must opt for solo and family travelers.
