Chola Heritage

I always wanted to stay here from the time i saw the reviews years back but never got chance to visit karaikudi. This time on my way back from chennai i stayed here with my family. To be really frank it didn't live upto the hype. I had booked for a room and when i reached there understood that i ordered the cottage room which is outside the main building. I didn't want that room as it's outside the main building. The room in the cottage area is very big but we chose the small one inside the main building. We couldn't understand why our 1 year old was acting weird nd scared in the room. He never did that in any of the Chola Heritages we stayed at before reaching there. Finally showed him a cartoon and then he settled down after 15 minutes. The place has good breakfast options and good customer service. We were provided with a hot water flask etc promptly. What i loved: 1. Rabbits, ducks etc for children to see 2. Breakfast was extremely good 3. Customer service 4. Parking is available in large space 5. Quiet and peaceful 6. Maintained and cleaned rooms what i didn't like: 1. Hype surroundings don't justify this place 2. Train sounds at night could wake you up recommended to a limit.

Staying at chola heritage was an absolute delight for my family and me. The heritage building turned Chola Heritage offered a unique and charming ambiance. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated with nice interiors, and the toilet was impeccable. One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary breakfast, which exceeded our expectations with its mouthwatering chettinad cuisines. However, it's worth mentioning that for lunch and dinner, we had to arrange meals ourselves. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall experience at chola heritage was exceptional, making it a perfect choice for anyone seeking a memorable stay.

The rooms were properly cleaned and maintained really well. I should surely mention about the staff at chola heritage, from the receptionist, room service, room cleaner; they did everything they could to keep our needs fulfilled as we travel-led with a baby. The breakfast tasted really good, the grandpa who is the chef took our special requests and made really yummy food. It was simple and healthy. There was enough parking space. There is also a sitout with some tables and chairs on the first floor, which was a good add on. I would definitely recommend this Chola Heritage to anyone who is planning on visiting karaikudi.

This is slightly outside town but everything is max 3km. Away, food was very good like home cooking. If you have kids with you they will love it as they have rabbits birds, duck swan in the property. Well maintained and friendly staff, obviously dont expect star Chola Heritage kind of service only down side i saw was, mattress needs replacement for sure and no one picks intercom. Rest all are fine its more like a guest house and not a Chola Heritage.

Well-appointed rooms, attentive service, courteous staff always responding to my every request promptly and efficiently. I look forward to when they finally finish that pool they’ve already dug up for, and set up that bar under the thatched canopy amidst, a verdant garden with lovely yellow daisies all around. Keep up the good work Chola Heritage! Would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet weekend getaway.

We were there for a one night stay. Small boutique Chola Heritage with 8 rooms. Good service, nicely tucked away from the bustling town. Their complimentary breakfast is truly authentic chettinad cuisine. Would recommend it for all travellers. You might want to consider there is a marriage hall at the front within the same compound, so it might be busting on being used. Otherwise well maintained and very hygienic restrooms and rooms.

The service and hospitality was super nice in this property. Pro : super clean, hospitality, food variety, children play area with rabbits. Cons : rooms are smaller. Some areas in the property was under construction when i visited. Note: safety feature was good. There are two gates to enter into the property. Privacy is good. Calm place to stay. Good balcony space. You can visit as a family and sure you will have good time.

The room was comfortable. Coffee was very tasty. But extra bed was not a cot, it was only a mattress on the floor and we couldn't use that because we found a centipede on the floor the previous night. Noticed an old smell in the toilet. We didn't know the place has no lift, so my mother had to climb the stairs which was a bit of a problem. Food for dinner and lunch has to be pure booked which also we didn't know.

The property is beautifully maintained front desk was very helpful they were very courteous housekeeping to the core bathroom and the rooms were kept very clean. Food is authenticated chettinad type of breakfast excellent delicious ambience was very good

It was safe neatly maintained

Well maintained Chola Heritage. It is located very close to the railway track. Also there is a wedding hall right next. Noise from these are little nuisance but overall good stay. No proper facilities for the drivers

Over all every thing is good about this Chola Heritage. Good ambience. Little more care for hygiene would be better. I noticed soiled food plates unattended and attracted flies.

Rooms are very clean and neat. Very friendly and courteous staff. Peaceful garden flowers are nice with herbal trees. Everything perfect. Lovely breakfast, Chettinad food are tasty. We ordered dinner, chapathi and crab masala was superb. We will come again and again.

The food is nice and the room is spotlessly clean.
