Club Mahindra Puducherry

The Club Mahindra Puducherry is located almost 16 km from Pondicherry and is more of a resort for activity oriented holidays. Located off the Cuddalore highway, it takes some searching to be located but once there - the scenic white sand beach setting more than compensates the effort. The rooms are well furnished, neat and elegant with unobtrusive service to match. There is no room service and a trek to the restaurant is a good evolution to keep one familiarised with the daily proceeding. Lots of children activities and staff to look after the young ones leaves the parents with adequate time and for participating in their set of activities - ranging from Catamaran sailing, Paintball competitions, etc The buffet meals are outstanding - be sure to check out their combo offers for all three meals in a big buffet package that is both economical and has luxurious variety. Guides are available for conducted tours of Pondicherry and backwater sailing. However, the same are extravagantly priced and cheaper alternative are easily available at Pondicherry itself that are easy to locate. A day is enough for exploring Pondicherry - plan the remaining stay at the resort itself to fully enjoy the offerings.

Resort is at a very good location. Just some highlighted sign boards on the direction to the resort would definitely help (at least on the highway). There are boards or painting on the highway but doesn't really catch the eye. At the resort, a super cool breeze on my face coupled with a welcome drink after a long drive was a pleasant thing to happen. Really courteous staff. Handled my baggage well. Evening at the pool was good. Rooms need to be a bit cleaner though as there were some pests and ants running around. The fridge in the room is not that great. They have got remote control for lights and fan. But where's the AC remote control? Of course, AC is making a lot of noise. Great breakfast buffet. Lunch and Dinner buffets are absolutely no value for money. Overall no complaints on the food though. The Chef took extra care and served me with customized food for my one year old son. That was really nice of him. Overall good value for money because of the deal.

The place has huge positives. We really liked the location (by a private beach). The rooms (including bathrooms) and the common areas were clean, the overall ambiance, and the activities on offer (music, swimming pool, trampoline, volleyball, cricket, bicycles, pool table etc etc. ) were good. The food had a large variety to choose from and we liked what we had. The negatives however were that it took us a while to locate the place itself (it was off the main highway and there were no clear markers on the city roads). Also there was something messy that we found in the hot water dispenser for tea/coffee at their restaurant. On highlighting this to the manager. he did not consider it a serious issue and said that the same container was probably used for milk the previous day and perhaps had not been cleaned properly and he had it replaced by a new container of hot water. Barring the milk/water issue, we overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend the resort.

The Club Mahindra Puducherry was nice. Staff very courteous and helpful, they are especially nice to kids and keep them creatively engaged. Check-in took longer time than desired - particularly after a long drive. I didn't mind a sparsely finished bathroom - the sink however is shallow and leads to spills on the floor rather readily. I didn't mind the lack of closets/wardrobes - however an additional luggage rack would be nice. It would be good to stock the refrigerator with some beverages. The boat ride to an island and snack (live cooking) service was not worth the money charged. Food & Beverage quality is excellent - although it would be nice to have a few light snacks or a la carte items that don't cost as much as the buffet and we end up choosing the buffet or regret paying Rs. 50 for a chapati. Overall - a good experience and worth my money as my daughter (6 year old) loved it.

One of the best locations I had visited in my life so far. Well thought out unconventional layout of the Club Mahindra Puducherry/resort gives the required chill out feeling for a perfect holiday. Credit goes to the designer and his team. As I am also an architect by profession I could sense the real purpose of the design. The landscape is amazing. The rooms are the best of the whole set up. Perfect size/volume for the mind to relax .Toilets with open yard at the back gives the relaxed atmosphere in there. On the same lines the lobby/restaurant/bar all stand by the purpose of design. Food was fantastic. And lastly the boat ride into the ocean is the capping experience on the whole. I would recommend this resort for anyone who wants to really, really chill out and do some real serious stuff relating to their work or profession. Ideal place. Thanks.

This is a very good spot for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The Club Mahindra Puducherry is about 3 km off the Cuddalore Road and presents itself as a picture of calmness. The rooms are spacious. The service is not that impressive. The staff are very helpful and extremely friendly. It is just that the number is not adequate. I expect that with time they will ramp up on this count also. The beach is very clean and is a great place to enjoy the waves. The entire resort is covered with a lot of trees and there are lots of activities for kids. We stayed for two nights and we were very happy with the Club Mahindra Puducherry. The location and the ambience were something good value for money.

Initially one may regret booking this Club Mahindra Puducherry as it is very difficult to find! But once you see the Club Mahindra Puducherry, you'll get astonished seeing it's beauty. It has everything- swimming pool, paintball, pool, cricket, game room, etc. The restaurant are excellent- buffet, bar and a separate sea food grill. The swimming pool has a pool side bar which adds to the fun. Now the main and best attraction of the Club Mahindra Puducherry- BEACH view. One can walk to the beach and the beach is beautiful. The rooms are too good. The service is also great and it's 100% VALUE FOR MONEY. I'll be coming back soon for sure.

At a 4600/- night charge, some basic amenities were missing. Bathroom didnt have proper inventory (Mouthwash, face tissue, shower cap etc.) However, we could find frog and 3 leeches there. There is no room service of foods. The A/c remote was never provided. Cannot use the sea beach. The bar closed by 11pm, pool by 9pm. There was no fridge in the room so, no chilled water. The list is getting endless. Lack of sitting space in the dining area (and you have to use that since u can't order at u'r room). If you need chilled water/drinks post 11 pm, call and wait. The only thing worth mentioning was good food and staff.

Me, my wife and 3 year old son traveled on a summer weekend. The private Beach is one of the highlights of this property. Excellent food and not so bad rooms, even though a bit old. This is my second time in a Club Mahindra property, first being in Coorg. Both were value for money and of-course an excellent Swedish massage by Bijoy was the best I have had so far.

It's a different world all together - Totally isolated from outside world. With all the amenities provided, one gets a feeling like - "It's your home". For sure, it's a 'go back again' place.

Excellent stay at a relaxing sea side property. Service is outstanding and had enjoyable stay.

This is one of the best Club Mahindra Puducherry for someone who wants to have a break for 2 days with his family. It has got a good swimming pool, indoor and outdoor games with a good beach also.

Great Club Mahindra Puducherry service and hospitality but would prefer them to have room service, which is surprisingly not a policy of the Club Mahindra Puducherry.

I am very happy to stay here and feel very blessed and my mind becomes refreshed to start my business again

Resort with private Beach was good

Food is super, loved every varieties, but forgot to deliver my wedding anniversary complimentary cake which manager promised to supply, but I did one time remember in reception they yet not send cake.
Give bisleri water or any ISI brand water bottles. Open water bottles are not needed, please take care.

Excellent. Friendly staff. Okay food. Good atmosphere. Neat beach. Very classy reception. Kids friendly. Welcoming surroundings. Open bar is also great. The rooms are big with a television and fridge
