Good hotel with new look and name, bit expensive

Silk Route is now renamed to Hotel Gateway (this came as a surprise for us as we were not informed either by the HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG or MMT about this chance). It is not even 100 meters from police bazaar. When we visited the HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG, all interiors were being redone. It was bit noisy as lot of drilling work was happening, but I think it would be temporary disturbance. The rooms have a new look, very clean and tidy. The bed and pillows looked old but the linen and bed spreads were clean . . The breakfast is good enough. One north Indian, one south Indian and continental, along with coffee/tea/juice. The front desk folks were cordial and helpful. We ordered food through room service once. Food was OK, but on the expensive side.

We have a memorable and very good experience about our stay in Hotel Gateway Shillong. Commendable service given specially by the staff of room service and housekeeping. The food supplied time to time are exceptionally good. Overall a very good HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG for medium range people like us. The only problem I faced was final bill I had to pay in cash. The HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG authorities expressed inability to take the residual payment through card. For the same I had to face some problem on arrival at Guwahati. Convey my sincere thanks to HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG people.

The HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG is located very near to the main market ( police bazar ), its hardley 150 from the center point HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG. The transportation facility, restaurant facility in the locality is superb. The HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG is well maintained, tip top, All the staffes are well behaved and helpful, the in house food is delicious and the quantity is also more than enough .. On Diwali holiday we have visited Shillong and stayed this HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG for two nights I. E 29th &30th October. It is a HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG which is situated heart of the main centre of Shillong which called POLICE BAZAAR. It's a value for money HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG. We enjoyed very much. Staff and front office executives are very cooperative. Foods are delicious. Overall we enjoyed much. I would like to recommend this HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG for comfortable stay. Ashok Khound.

Stayed there for 3 days. Overall a good experience. Decent sized rooms, clean bathrooms. Food was tasty, just the service in their restaurant was too slow for which I would have deducted 2 points. An extra point for their lady manager who gave me the HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG on the third day for a decent amount(had it booked for 2 days originally) considering the HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG was all jam-packed with tourists because of the weekend.

As the place Shillong is known for spectacular sites the HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG also provided us with the similar opportunity. Humble staff and super efficient service was an added advantage. Hotel is just few steps away from the main police bazaar (Mall Road of any hill station) which gives super awesome experience to all shopaholics. My stay at the HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG was king style. The HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG was kind enough to upgrade one of my rooms. The rooms were clean, spacious, cozy and with all the amenities as promised. The HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG staff were corteuous and helpful. The HOTEL GATEWAY SHILLONG was in the prime location near police bazaar. The main shopping centers of police bazaar were in walking distance. All in all, a memorable stay.

I stayed at luxury room. Room was very spacious and well maintained. Toilet was proper and clean. Location of the Hotel is superb. 200 meters away from the main market and everything is available at your finger tips. Quality of foods provide is very nice not much oily and spicy, quantity of food is very good. One plate of any item is sufficient for two persons. Outstanding experience. Hotel staff are very nice and well behaved.
