Kanal Glamp Kodaikanal Luxuries

The property is located on a remote village, but has amazing viewpoint. It was difficult to reach there without a local guide as there is no network coverage for Airtel. And the number listed by the property owner is out of service. We reached the property a few hours before the check-in & we could not inform about our arrival as they had left a non functional contact number. There is no waiting or lounge area at the property. The caretaker arranged another room for an additional charge of ₹500/- for 2-3 hours. The stay was pleasant & the food was great. However one of the caretaker Vijay lied to us & tried to settle the complimentary breakfast for a cheap menu. For other meals he presented a good menu & made the arrangements. Caretaker Gopal was very hospitable, friendly & helpful. He went out of the way to make our stay a comfortable one. We requested for a late checkout as it was Friday & I wanted to pray at the local mosque before i left. Gopal was considerate enough to help us. However when Vijay showed up in the morning for his shift, he insisted that we depart on time. When we requested to use the jacuzzi he gave the excuse that the village had low voltage & we can’t use the jacuzzi. When i explained to him that Gopal mentioned there were no other guests that day & we could check out late. He agreed to let us checkout late, however at the fixed time of checkout he switch off the power supply. This was a cheap move. Its okay if they informed us that they didn’t allow late check-out. But it’s unacceptable to agree & then switch off the power, forcing guests to leave.

Nice stay and service was good. One thing is to plan well for food, no near by Kanal Glamp Kodaikanal Luxuriess. So you need to wait more if you order food in resort.
