Krish Rauni Resort

The view is really awesome, the architecture design of the building is awesome. Good thing end there. The hotel is very hard to locate, the way to hotel from taxi drop is pathetic but this can be forgiven considering the view of the hotel. There was only one staff in the hotel who managed everything including food. They lacked food menu and had very simple items on demand based like dal, chicken and mixed veg. The staff told us that the menu is old and the Resort is subject to restoration after we leave. And hence items are not available. So we ordered simple items like dal or chicken. And 2 plate aloo paratha on each day. We paid for food for 3 days. Each items were considered twice during billing and the most surprising part of the bill for 2 plates (piece) aloo paratha. When asked he showed us the menu card where each plate priced. Considering the remote location of the hotel, we expected some transportation arrangements from hotel, but we had to make our own arrangements as the staff was having no arrangements. On the final day however, the staff somehow arranged us a Scorpio for our drop till Shimla railway Station, as buses and cabs were not operating due to heavy snow.

My parents and my relatives actually had an ordeal with this resort. The property that even Google fails to locate then how tough it would have been for my parents and relatives to actually make it to the property. The entrance for this property as actually a worst that hill-climbing, as the way is totally dark without any signage and risky for children and old age people after crossing all obstacles they happened to reach to the property to which it actually went more miserable as neither room geyser was working nor there were basic amenities that include to litters, tea kits etc wherein on making complaint the staff actually showed up the lowest standards of customer-centricity. When the issue was adverse the complaint was made to the property owner, he made the call routed to his caretaker who actually put it an icing to it while accepting the faults and doing nothing. If we talk about hygiene and food standards, I am hunting for words. I never thought that the information provided can be as fake. Guys I don't know whether the aforesaid reviews are paid or genuine but yes staying at the property was actually a worst and wrong decision by us.

The hotel has a amazing view. You can stargaze at night and also snows a lot. Feedback bathroom s had no water and we have to ask them to turn on the motor. But that could be just because there were only two couples in the entire hotel. The food was above average Lovely place to stay. Would recommend.

Superb view from gallery but it is located in the interior part so hard to approach till the main road.

Welcome drink was not served. Rooms are neat and tidy. Service is good enough. Food is just like home cooked and is delicious. You can't find out whether your room is classic deluxe or royal deluxe.

Everything about hotel (room, location, service etc) was awesome. It is the best option for those who wants to stay around Shimla, Narkanda etc. It's a small beautiful place (Matiana) covered with apple orchards all over mountain. This resort is away fm the normal crowd and a peaceful place that meant for real nature lover and peace seekers. It's like home away from home. Rooms were fine, service was excellent, food was too good, neat and clean place. Best suitable for family and group.

Simply an awesome place. The location is simple and excellent. The view is fantastic and there is peace with clean air to refresh your mind. The owner of the place is a very nice and understanding person. We had an amazing stay and were taken care of by Mr. Vineet.

Its amazing and a hidden jewel in HP also not very far from Shimla. Must visit place. I would strongly recommend this place to my friends & colleagues who loves to travel and open for exploring new offbeat destination like this.

This place is a bit away from Shimla town which makes it a perfect place to stay. Amazing views of valley from resort gives it an edge over other places. Owner Vineet is a great host and ensures best of comfort for resort guests. Being at this place also allows to visit Apple orchard which is adjoining to the resort. Very peaceful and serene !!

The Hotel location is good ... But it's bit far from all major spots. But in a way it's good also away from all noise and pollution. Overall good hotel ... Only think the price of food is too high. They should reduce charges.

Great location. Its far from Shimla noise. If you plan to relax, this is the place to be. Stay a little longer and visit places around especially towards Narkanda, Hatu and Oddi. Natural sightseeing points on that route are much better and less crowded than what you would find in Shimla. I wish we could have stayed a little longer. Food is good too and they really take care of their guests. My kid loved the place too. Infact this was the only stay my kid loved on the entire trip. The entry/walkway could be improved. The resort is besides the main road (NH5), but the direct walkway is a steep climb and has some patches without stairs. The other walkway starting from an internal road is too narrow at certain points. But it was only a minor issue as I was travelling with a kid. A large signboard on the road would have been great. But Vineet guided us correctly. If you are using Google Maps, it will take you pretty close to the resort. Advice for travellers: It's quite far (45kms/1. 5 hrs drive) from Shimla - assuming there's no traffic jam. If you plan to stay here, take at least 3-4 hours of to-fro time into account. From here, if you plan to move towards Kasol and Manali via Narkanda, avoid using SH305 that shows up on Google Maps. While SH305 is scenic and you might want to stop at some place after crossing Sutlej, SH305 is just too bad for a very long drive. If you want to be close to nature and can sustain long stretch of bad roads, the locations on SH305 are the best.

It was nice staying in this hotel. It is a good hotel in Shimla. Hotel is so good. Location and appearance were nice. I faced no problem during check-in and check-out. Services were perfect. Food was good. Rooms were also good. Staff behavior was very appreciable. Staying in Krish Rauni resort Shimla was a great experience. It was a luxurious stay there for a 3 days. We booked it as a package and we were happy to be there.

Good hotel, good destination, facilities of the hotel is good, maintenance of the hotel is very good, food and service was very good. Location of the hotel looks very good and also front office look is good. Rooms are kept clean and neat. Total appearance of the hotel looked very nice and activities of the hotel is average.

I visited Shimla with my family for outing. Hotel is located at a peaceful place. View from the terrace was awesome. Food was tasty and dining place was very hygienic. Staff was very professional and their service was very good. If you need anything you will have to ask just once. I had a very comfortable stay.

I visited the Apple resort with wife and another couple for getting peace and tranquility and enjoy nature at its best. The resort is a home-stay concept. It has only 6 rooms, 3 on level 1, 2 on ground and 1 below. One more room is under consideration at the lower level. Clean sheets sparkling white linen hot and cold running water. Clean bathrooms and LCD TV set in each room tata sky connections provided. A good carpet, comfortable beds, quilts, a wardrobe table and 2 chairs in each room. Apple juice to welcome the tired traveler. Biscuits and snacks packet as the welcome booty. A tea kettle with the paraphernalia in each room. Rooms overlooking the green valley offers an excellent view. A cane chair and 2 chairs in the veranda where you can just laze and gaze. Choose first level rooms and the best is the royal. Do not expect much activity though a table tennis table and carom board is provided. Space being at premium not much can be provided. Children have swing and a slide for them at the lower level. Be ready to walk about 100 meters or so on a small path after you park your car. At the end of the path a world of welcome opens up for you. The owners look after you personally. Food is homely and made to order. Do not expect exotic dishes but tasty home cooked food is the attraction. It is prepared under the personal supervision. The son helps his father look after the property and the guests personally. A nice long walk among-st the conifer lined path is a pleasure and the high point of the resort. In September the heady aroma of the apples entices you. The terrace is a place where you can just sit and gaze the valley below. In winters the snow filled terrace is just great. It is a place for having breakfast and dinner or your own drinks. The place does not have a bar and liquor drinking in general is not recommended as the resort is a family oriented place. Though if you want to enjoy a quiet drink you can. Terrace has beach umbrellas and a swing branded shampoo and soap is provided. No need to carry your own but no shaving kit. You can visit Matiana market 1 km, Narkanda 15 km, Haatu Peak 22 km and Lake Tannijubbar 26 km if you feel like an outing. All four of us loved the place and surely a revisit is in order. Probably in winter to enjoy the snow.

Krish Rauni is a lovely property. One of the best places to stay in if you are travelling with a kid. Would recommend if you need some peace away from the madness of Shimla. Loved the home cooked food and the great service. Thank you for making our trip a memorable one. Rooms are very nice nice view from balcony.

This location of the hotel was good. Destination was good as its far, appearance of the hotel was average, what a hotel, it is food and drinks was not good, terrible rooms was not clean, service of this hotel was good. Activities of the hotel also was average.

It is a place for those tourists who actually want to be close to nature. You can just sit in your room on a nice cosy bed and see the valley and the mountains. On our arrival we were given a fresh drink of apple straight from their own orchards.
