L' Amby Bay | Rooms in a Homestay

To address the confusion of two buildings - it is a standalone single building. The sea view duplex room is a two-floor room where all other rooms do not have the facility. The pictures of the room speak for themselves. Cruise and bay building are same. The host is very welcoming and understands english well. Pre-check-in calls are answered and addressed. There are two managers (day & night, and both communicate well. The best part about this L' Amby Bay | Rooms in a Homestay/stay - the sunrise is exquisite. Beautiful. Surreal. Peaceful. Silent. Pondicherry is completed by viewing the sunrise from this L' Amby Bay | Rooms in a Homestay. Wake up, get out of your room and voila! sunrise. The L' Amby Bay | Rooms in a Homestay is 1km off the main road, but the neighbourhood is safe. You can come in anytime. There are no other L' Amby Bay | Rooms in a Homestays around. Fishermen live and walk around so you might get some stares. But managers are local and assuring of your safety. I felt safe with my partner. The room was clean. Basic amenities were missing when entered but provided for when asked. My potty seat was broken but the issue was fixed instantly. There's only tv as an appliance in the room. Geysers, acs work well. Zomato/swiggy deliver here from pondicherry. Local restaurants also deliver. There is no in-house kitchen. Grocery shops are nearby. Renting an activa is also nearby. Breakfast is healthy and tasty. It is served at a specific time i. E, 9:30. If you miss it, you miss it. Place is very close to auroville so if you don't wish to stay in auroville and just plan to visit their visitor's centre and enjoy the beach then this is the place. Beaches are at a walkable distance. Serenity beach is the cleanest after paradise and ed-en beach. It is six kms away from pondicherry and the drive is easy to commute. Overall, if you're looking for a cheap get away, this is it. Locality - 4/5 hospitality - 5/5 cleaniness - 4/5 hot water - yes washroom cleanness - 5/5 worth for money - 5/5

Can’t find the location..once we reached the directions we can’t find any name board.. the person from stay also not picked my call.. then we finally found it.. then we checked in… initially no water, no tv recharge, no AC then called and waited more than an hour to sort out everything… we took sea view with private balcony… no towel, no hanger in bathroom, geiser also not working no kettle, bathroom window doesn’t have the door… they told us to park my car in open parking.. we can stay only for a sea view.. breakfast was good, very clean… I will give 3/5 stars for this home stay

As we are a group of friends meeting after long gap, so decided to say in pondicherry so booked this property for 4 but 1 more person joined with me but they allowed us in the room when the day progess 1 more friend joined with us still they allowed us with additional 600 rs, in the middle of the night one more friend joined with us after the discussion with property owner he agreed to stay that friend also i wold like to thank the owner for allowing 7 person in a room, thank u sir

Peaceful location - next to beach - sunrise from your room window / balcony. It was amazing experience. Food - breakfast was provided at the stay and it was delicious south indian food. We had other options like zomato/swiggy option and order from menu as well. Everything was clean. Thanks to prakash for being an amazing host. Note: check in time is not adjustable. The washroom was not spacious enough.

The location of the property is quite inside more like remote but the view and the sea facing rooms gives an mesmerising experience. The food was great and the hygiene as well. The service offered by the staff shiva was indeed great he went always out of his way to help us out especially when there were senior citizens

The stay was good with the rooms clean. There were few issues like the tv and geyser not working but was fixed immediately on request. The staff was polite and always available when needed. If possible opt for the beach view room not the boat shaped one. It has a balcony facing beach. Overall had a good time.

Though the room was small enough i enjoyed the place and the sea view was awesome and loved the place. Bathroom door outside latch was missing. So door was tapping the door which was annoying at night. Food was awesome and loved the overall exp i felt the room is bit pricy compared to the room size

Location is excellent, i can recommend this property to friends and family, property owner was really nice to me while i did mistake in booking, he clarified with so patiently. Book your room clearly reading description and referring photos. Food was good, staff was very friendly. Thank you

It's very nice place to visit in pondicherry, they maintain hygienic atmosphere and environment, food is also well prepared, rooms are well sanitized, washroom is also well maintained

Sea facing and easy access to beach. Rooms were spacious and view is awesome.

Even though we came early to the property before check-in time, they allowed us to check-in early. The staff was very good.

The awesome place was comfortable for a group of friends and family. Nice very spacious and comfortable rooms with all the facilities equipped within. The food was great. The staffs were humble and cooperative. Must recommend the property to others.

The stay was good, even the staff were really good. But we were not provided pics of boat balcony in mmt by the owner and we expected some thing else they kept a quarter part of boat to balcony

Loved the stay, ambience and the hospitality

Everything is fine with the stay. But may be it's not season. No wind came from sea. That was a loss for me, by stating this much close to see, may be monsoon season go for stay
