MPT Kila Kothi, Chanderi

The room was decorated in the classical Indian style with desk furniture and decorative effects. The bathroom was modern. I was given the uppermost floor which had a great view of the town below. The room was freshly whitewashed and was clean. Room service was a bit slow though the staff was courteous and polite. Food was average in taste and well served. Rates were reasonable. At the time of the review this was truly the best place to stay in Chanderi since there are no other options. The Town was noisy with loudspeakers blaring through most of the day and well into the night. The disadvantage of the place is that it's on top of the hill while most of the sites are in and around the Town below. Getting an auto to go down can be difficult. It's about a kilo meter walk down to the down. Near the MPT Kila Kothi, Chanderi on the hill are the remains of a well restored palace, mosque and the Jauhar monument. One can walk from the MPT Kila Kothi, Chanderi to the Khooni Darwaza and beyond where stunning views can be had. Definitely the best place to See the sunset. Nearby on the hill is the Jogeshwari temple which is connected from the MPT Kila Kothi, Chanderi via a footpath.

Hotel Kila Kothi To begin with, I was pleasantly surprised by the room size and interiors. Quite nice, with very well done interiors. It has an extra space attached with the bathroom that works as an dressing area. The room has amenities like locker, in room electric water heater with the tea/coffee ready to drink mix provided. The bathroom is neat, large, well lit with all amenities provided. The MPT Kila Kothi, Chanderi has a sit in dining area. It is fantastically located next to the Chander Fort. You can wake up to a pleasant morning! Now the drawbacks. It's great location means it is kind of out of Town. For a small place like Chanderi, that means conveyance issues if you don't have your own vehicle with you. I hired a taxi through the MPT Kila Kothi, Chanderi. Food is not that great, my room's tv was not working properly. They told me monkey issues. It worked the next day. Compared to big City and other tourist places, service was reasonably good. Don't expect great service. It is a sleepy little place. So keep your expectations accordingly. And you will not be disappointed.

The MPT Kila Kothi, Chanderi is at a beautiful location. Services are good. there are only 6 rooms. Sometimes it gets hard on bookings. Excellent location with great food. A place where relaxation comes automatically. This place is not haunted as I have read Chanderi Killa is and this MPT Kila Kothi, Chanderi is just on walls of Killa. The stay was very pleasent, the MPT Kila Kothi, Chanderi is located at the hilltop so the view was amazing from there. The food was delicious and the staff people were very courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at kill a kothi.

Staff was very courteous specially Thapa when service boy, felt like every thing is customize which added the charm to be there. I stayed with my wife in 23 rid of this month and was a very wonderful stay. You can't get a better location other than this at a throw away price really good for a night stay.
Room was very spacious with a spectacular view every thing was working properly.

Location of the property is very good but services are pathetic, electricity failure happened at 1 am and there was no one to even to the issue, highly disappointing and pathetic customer service, basic services were not there
No proper sanitization arrangements were there, also cleanliness was not up to the mark at all

Kila Kothi has an excellent view. The rooms are nice and spacious, well furnished. The day we went there, wifi was not working and reception staff lacked warmth. Restaurant menu should have more variety. Overall hospitality can be improved to make it a memorable stay.

It's a kothi of scindias, view of this property is awesome. You can view all chanderi from here. Welcome done by staff feels like you are king of any empire. It's historical place and people take you there in such a nice way you feel part of it. Must stay.
