The Cleanliness of the property is impeccable, with well-maintained rooms and bathrooms. The Food & Dining is homely and delicious, with customized meals based on guests' requests. The Amenities are basic but comfortable, with a well-maintained garden and a beautiful terrace. The Host Sarajit and Sharmila are warm, courteous, and helpful, making the stay a memorable one. Overall, Munia Homestay is a perfect place for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Shantiniketan.

  The property is located in a calm, serene neighborhood away from the din of the town, yet close to places that matter. It is situated near Prantik Station amidst trees. The approach road from the main road to the accommodation is about 500 meters journey through kuchvha pakka bone-jerking journey by toto. The nearest taxi stand or the rickshaw stand is Prantik station, which is at least 10-15 minutes walk through a kachapuckka road. The house is very close to the Prantik station, approximately a 5-10 minutes walk. Finding this place on your own could be a problem. Take the help of the caretaker to reach/locate this place.

• Cleanliness

  The property is well maintained, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The caretaker gives tireless service. The house is very comfortable, and every nook and corner is clean. The bedsheets are neatly tucked, and the bathroom/toilets are pretty big and clean. The caretakers are a nice couple who took really good care of us. They made sure that our stay was comfortable. The presence of the hosts during meals added warmth and a homely feeling. The property is high on its aesthetic value. It reflects the good taste, culture, finesse, and impeccable artistic abilities of the owners, especially the lady of the house.

• Food & Dining

  The food is tasty, hygienic, and very attractively served. The meals were also customized based on the request of team members, and we were really pleased with the effort that the caretaker had exhibited throughout the trip. The food comes from a common kitchen, and the quality of food is not up to the mark. The breakfast is little disappointing since it is not prepared in Munia. But otherwise, the food is homely and wholesome, which is exactly what we wanted. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day at Munia. The food was amazing, and we really appreciated a tasty soup the day we were ill. The meals were better than any restaurant in the town, especially during the festive seasons.

• Amenities

  The property is beautifully made, plush, and spacious, with extremely well-maintained gardens on three sides. The house is tastefully decorated, and the library is a real treasure. The house is very comfortable, with a garden, plenty of sunlight, and fresh air. The rooms are well-decorated, very clean, and all the basic amenities are there, kept in place. They have a huge balcony that can be used to party. The property has a functional kitchen, which can be used to cook your own food. Tea and coffee are on the house.

• Host

  The hosts are courteous, warm, and have a strong penchant for camaraderie and conversation. They are charming personalities to talk to and are very responsive to all queries. They took it upon themselves to organize pick-ups from the train station (at unusual times) and lots of activities while we were there, including a tour of the town the day after Holi. They went out of their way to provide every little detail that was possible regarding our stay and other arrangements, something you hardly come across in these times. The presence of the hosts during meals added warmth and a homely feeling. They are cultured, educated, well-spoken people, and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with them.
