Neelakurunji Plantation I Rooms & Restaurant

Resort is within a cardamom plantation with a really nice view and ambience. If your plan is to be really disconnected from world and spend your time within the resort and the plantation, this is the place to be. But if you plan to visit different parts of Munnar also during the trip, probably this may not be the best choice if you are driving your own car. It's around 20km from Munnar town and the last bit of the road is in really bad condition. The drive within the plantation gives a kind of offloading experience (which is good if you like it) and can be scary if someone is not that good driver. Moreover, as of now, the road from Munnar to this location is under maintenance. So, instead of the usual scenic 20km route via Devikulam, we ended up taking a route which is 50-60km with bad stretches and less scenery. This itself killed our mood little bit. Connectivity is the major reason for our dissatisfaction during our stay especially since we had plans to visit different places in and around Munnar. Room is really spacious and has most of the needed facilities. Complimentary breakfast is really good especially if you like Kerala cuisine. Dinner is also good 4 curries, chapati, fried rice & fish fry, but the menu is fixed and the portion served for just two of us was too much. It would've been better if there was an option to order only what we want. Apart from this point, food & restaurant service is excellent. In terms of room service, replacing toiletries were not done correctly. There was only an almost finished roll of toilet paper and used shampoo bottle. It would've been corrected upon request, but we chose to ignore as it was a minor issue. So, it was a pleasant experience overall except for the connectivity issue.

The resort is amidst jungle. View from the room is amazing. Resort staff is very efficient and warm. The owner Ms Suja, was very helpful with my enquiries prior to the trip. It is a wonderful place to visit in a group. The rooms are very spacious and the skylight shower was an experience. Food was decent and served hot. Suggestion: During our visit the weather was overcast for most part of the day so putting up white light instead of yellow at few places in rooms and common area will make it different.

Ambience is excellent. Well architectures and properly maintained property and rooms. The whole property is situated in a very nice forest like location surrounded by cardamom plantation. There is no proper sign boards in roads and road leading to the property is pathetic. Service was not good. There are no phone connection in rooms. Food is not good, choices and over priced. Well behaved staff. Overall its a nice location to stay but not good if you are expecting a luxury stay with good food.

Excellent Bungalow amidst cardamom plantations with amazing views of Mother Nature. Cardamom rooms will provide you beautiful views from the balcony and a small stream sound flowing through this plantation. This Property is truly an abode of different types of birds, you will always hear the chirping sound of these beautiful birds .. The way of construction and the design of each bungalows are beautiful, Rooms are well maintained, needless to say, The staff's at this property are very courteo

For travel seekers if you just want to be in nature and less crowded space you have this place and staffs are good, food is good bit expensive but considering the location you can’t give comments, location and the ambiance is what you love, i would suggest to clean floor under bed area also, also to reach this place it is bit difficult but you will love the experience and be careful while driving, overall i would recommend this place without doubt.

From many resorts that I stayed before, this one stands out. The entire place is so scenic and there is much to see inside the property. Its like living inside woods. Nice and pleasant stay and good hospitality. A perfect place for nature lovers. They have preserved so many big trees inside the property and its a cardamom plantation. The staff are very helpful and food was excellent.

Really a awesome property in Munnar. Cottages were as shown in the photos. A very big cottage. We took two cottages. Food was good. We found difficulty in reaching the place as it was little deep inside from main Road. The crew helped us to reach there and the team there was very cooperative. Seriouly a nice place to visit and spend time.

I can say, the location, the food and the service, all were exceptional. We could have never found a better place than this for our holiday. It is the perfect getaway from all the hustle and bustle of daily life. It's surrounded by just greenery, seems like you are in the midst of the jungle and you can hear beautiful voices of birds.

Perfect stay for newly married couples

The roads really needs to improve. Can keep few games and sports item since its very far away from the main Munnar town. Staff is really great. Specially the manager Daison. Appreciated. Wi-Fi connection should be improved since we hardly get any network there.

Secluded and peaceful location. Its quite far and off Road. Hardly any facilities. Cellphone network is poor Around. Food is decent, though the buffet was quite small. The only good thing was the staff being quite helpful and friendly.

It was very hard to reach the place. Not recommended when travelling with elders or babies. Having said that the resort is located in the middle of forest. Dinner was costly. Menu was just the average. But since its difficult to go out and find a restaurant, we will have no option left. Nice and helpful staff.

It was very calm and nice location. Away from the hustle of the city, inside a forest. The Neelakurunji Plantation I Rooms & Restaurant staff was supportive and kind. Very clean and maintained rooms. Nice service and climate was good to enjoy the stay. The owners were very supportive and accommodative.

I would say this is the best resort in Munnar with best staff service and lot of forest amenities. They have maintained the forest ambience as it is. Really loved the support from management.
