SHANTIDHAM COTTAGES

This place is so good this is probably the first review i'm writing. Location is absolutely perfect, full privacy along with a view to on beach directly from room and directly from the stay's cafe as well. I read some reviews before coming here that the place is hard to reach but that's not true. It is exactly 500 meters from the nearby auto stand and half of that is actually the stairway to om beach itself. Just call the caretaker when you reach the auto stand and he will carry your luggage if requested from there. The trail itself is almost flat, it might be difficult for elderly family to tread to and fro at worst. Food is good, with prices the same as any cafe around this place. I personally felt it was better than the nearby famous namaste cafe as it costed lesser. The caretakers including satish are very helpful and made sure our stay was absolutely perfect.

So we 2 girls stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days and every moment spent there was amazingly wow. The scenic views, the cleanliness, the peace and calm surroundings, and yes special thanks to the host over there, satish. He is a true gem. A very humble person with sweet nature who helped us in every way possillble. So like there was this one night where we made plan to have dinner in namaste cafe which was at a little distance from this place and the way through it at night becomes a little scary so satish on his own said that at the time of our way back to shantidham after having our dinner will sent one of his employee to accompany us on our way back. Such a sweet and caring gesture. The food is great over there so guys whenever you visit gokarna do stay in this place. And yes i just can't get over this place so i will visit again soon.

I have to thank my brother first as he recommended me to stay here. Seriously, if you are couple this is gonna be the best private and peaceful stay. You won't find any sign board of cottage when you reach, just call the host if any confusion in route, he will send you a person. Also he will help you by carrying your heavy luggage. You have to hike around 400-500m to reach so call him if any heavy luggage. Cottage was constructed on a hill, so you will get an excellent ocean view from your room balcony. Food is little cheap compared to other SHANTIDHAM COTTAGESs there, though they give you good food but you have to adjust if you like spicy ones.

Shantidham is located in a very serene location, have to trek to this SHANTIDHAM COTTAGES from om beach walkway about 200 mtrs. Fantastic ambience, and particularly i liked the signboard which says 'no music, no noise' around the property. Property has several non-ac rooms located at different levels and quite corners with table and chair, on different levels overlooking the arabian sea. Food is good(no complaints) but only beer is available. They dont have liquor license to serve hard liquor. Very quite and friendly hosts. Hot water available till 11am and again in the evening till 8pm. Restaurant closes at 10pm.

Reaching the location requires a 5-mins trek from the om beach auto stand. It is quite scenic along the pathway. The cafe has a serene environment, perfect for a getaway from a busy city-life. The room was spacious, with a clean washroom and sea-facing view. Wifi connection was provided with good speed. The reception area houses multiple tables and chairs to sit and relax. One can place their order for food and enjoy the meal while facing the sea. Overall, had a lovely experience. The host and other staff were very courteous. They helped with the necessary information and with the luggage as well.

Found this place really peaceful and relaxing! loved everything about this stay- the view, food, staff, rooms. They have got common areas from where you can sit and watch the sun set in all its glory! the staff are very friendly and always ready to help. This is the place to be of you want a peaceful, relaxing vacation with some good food. The only problem we faced was finding the place for the first time. There are no sign boards to follow as such to reach the stay. However, it was easy once we called up the staff and they told us the directions. Overall we loved the place

Excellent location. May be one of the best you'd find as a nature lover. Sunset and sunrise views from the dining area was breathtaking. A small trek is required to reach the location. They do help with the luggages, so not an issue. However, may not be perfect for elderly. Rooms were neat and clean. Staffs were very helpful. Biggest let down at the property was food. It was barely average in taste and certainly didn't meet our expectations. Considering the location of the place you can't even go around for other options. Hope it improves in future.

The location of the cafe is ideal in the midst of palm trees which provides just the right amount of shade and sun. 2 mins walking dist from om beach which incidentally is the only worthy beach in gokarna. Hence, the location of this property is just ideal. All amenities are professionally provided. The rooms are small which in turn makes it very very cozy to be in. A decent and courteous staff. The sit out for sunsets in a very unique thing. Overall a very satisfying stay and strongly recommended.

The place was good and was in a good location and secluded.

Staying at shanthidham cottages was one of the best decisions we made. I still cannot get over the view we had and the sound of the waves crashing was just therapeutic! apart from the trekking we had to do to get to the place (i had a small problem only because of my low stamina, the stay was really good and comfortable. The hosts were very hospitable too. We managed to catch sight of even a dolphin from one of the viewing decks- what a highlight!

It was good and food is delicious but it won't suit for family it is suitable for couples staffs are very decent

Located in a small cliff right on the om beach. Is very basic in amenities, but very clean. Perfect for spending time away from crowds. Property does not have tvs (which is great) and wi-fi works perfect. Highly recommended for a quiet stay

We stayed here for 3 nights, this place is very peaceful with beach view and you can hear the sound of beach waves from the room. We had dinner and breakfast here and food is great.

The cottages are located at the Om beach and the view from the cafe and rooms is breathtaking.An amazing place to relax and refresh your mind.The staff and the food is too good.I would highly recommend people to book a stay and enjoy the service and the beautiful view from shantidhama cottages. It will the decision you will never regret.Me and my friends had the best time of our lives and we returned with lot of memories

On a cliff overlooking the sea. Small sized room for two with a decent toilet. Have to walk at least 5 mins from the parking area. Food was not good and service was good as satish/ravi responded instantly. Overall a good experience
