Soul, Varkala Hostel - Black Beach

The staff on site was excellent, really supportive and helpful and went above above and beyond but overall the place could use a lot of improvement in terms of basic facilities like geyser, hygiene products (soap etc), cleanliness of the facility especially bathroom. It is undergoing renovation so assuming the broken things will be repaired but overall approach from management seems lacking and not providing adequate or basic facilities to guests.

The hostel is good but washrooms are not cleaned properly plus they don’t allow to sit outside with friends .

Dorms and washrooms were clean and tidy. But the washroom was not connected to the dorm and common for the whole hostel. Also no in house cafe even for tea/coffee and no activities whatsoever for the vibe

The hostel was very neat and clean.It was close to the sea and it had good facilities like ac and neat washrooms.

So the dorms of the hostel soul were pretty decent however I didn't like the quality of people there. So traveller quality I didn't like. Hostel and manager were decent

clean and hygienic, perfect for someone who also wants to work from home

The room was good neat and clean also the washrooms but the place was very dull and the morning staff was also not helpful

Stay was pleasant and calm and beautiful

The overall stay was good , we booked a dorm for 9 people The only thing I felt lacking was that we had to share a bathroom with other people from other dorms

Overall nice, located very close to Black Beach and Cliff shops they've arranged two wheeler for rental also they've arranged Auto to bus stand while check out

Stay was good and comfortable. They gave us an early checkin too. Also have Common washrooms.

Stay was good. Rooms were very clean and hospitality was good. Hostel staff suggested many places to visit and they had contact numbers of essential people which helps a lot. Only point they should improve is to introduce game zone. That will help solo travellers to socialise.

Out trip was awesome and the stay and the information provided them was very useful. The restrooms were neat and the wifi was good. Great staffs and place to stay.
