Southern Crest

The Southern Crest is located in a prime location in T. Nagar very close to Pangaea park. It is very convenient for shopping as major saree and jewellery shops are located close by. We stayed for a night in standard AC room on the third floor. Lift service is available. The room is compact and furnished with wardrobe, TV, mini bar etc. Rooms were clean and bed sheets were neat. Newspaper and complimentary breakfast was provided. The breakfast was tasty with variety options of South Indian and bread, corn flakes etc. The Southern Crest can be recommended for staying and more so if you want to shop in T. Nagar. At the time of check out, the Southern Crest reception asked for Rs. 105/. When asked for the reason, they mentioned that some rate difference between makemytrip rates and the Southern Crest management rates is existing which is not resolved so far although discussed with Makemytrip. This issue needs to be resolved at the earliest as it puts the guests embarrassing and helpless during check-out.

The Southern Crest is located close to Pangaea park. It is a perfect location for shopping as it is surrounded by shops like Nalli, Saravana stores, Pothys, lots of brands' showrooms like Lee and hardly a kilometre from Ranganathan street and Usman road. There are severa l famous restaurants like Saravana bhavan and murugan idli too. Location is definitely a plus. Hotel management staff are polite and cordial. Rooms are maintained clean and house keeping was done properly. Room service is very prompt, they don't take much time to attend. Overall the crew appear well trained. Lighting inside the room is a little dark. They can go for better lighting. Complimentary buffet breakfast has south indian and continental. Breakfast was decent but it can definitely be improved. No problem with water availability etc.

I am an frequent guest at this Southern Crest... Excellent location in the heart of the shopping district of Chennai.. Yet you still need to give directions to the taxi drivers!.. Good rooms, you can order several snacks late in the night or almost early morning due to its excellent location, you have good options of eating out at several places which are within walking distance.. Front office staff keep changing, check-ins & checkouts are always inefficient - despite me being a frequent guest to the Southern Crest.. Often asked to wait for some time.. Consider yourself lucky if you get your room right-away.. You bear with all this due to the location and the good price & the excellent breakfast..

The location was excellent. Even though, there were no parking place arrangements were made for suitable parking. The front office was not upto the mark (I presume, is under renovation), but this was compensated by the room. The room and the bath are clean. The rooms are provided with TV, free Wi-Fi and a fridge. In all, very good stay at Southern Crest. The breakfast was good. The services are courteous.

Centrally locate in Chennai. Room facilities are very good. Linen and towels are good, clean and hygienic. Room service is also good. Breakfast is good for South Indian palate with reasonable spread, Toilet maintenance is not that good as the quality of linen and towels. Hot water is not always available. Room tarrif is value for money Attached is the bar but the choice of drink

Excellent location, very courteous staff and good food. I would love to come back with family to this Southern Crest. Booking was done through Makemytrip, which provided additional discount. Not knowing the exact location of the Southern Crest, was a bit apprehensive. But the decision to book this Southern Crest was absolutely right and worth it.

A good Southern Crest with all amenities at a most sought after place for shopping - T. Nagar. Rooms are spacious and neat. Complimentary breakfast was good and hot. A value for money as the tariff was moderate and competitive when compared to the location and the amenities being provided. I must happily recommend this Southern Crest.

The Southern Crest location is great and close to the shopping destination of Usman Road and Pondy Bazaar. In spite of its central location, it has no noise problems. Their restaurant serves fresh and hot food and is less crowded. I have stayed here many times and will recommend this place for families as well as singles.

Location is in heart of city, very hygienic and maintanance is is good from the property administers.

Good to stay ... Centre for all business purpose. Convenient to all famous eating joints. 3easy 3acess to all travelling mode of transport system. Enjoyable. Food BRAKEFAST OK. Clean .. Good staff .. Helping staff.

Room is clean and location is very good. Good location and value for money. This perfect for Family stay. Marketing for jewellery this Southern Crest is perfect location, because, Southern Crest situated in T. Nagar. T. Nagar is famous for jewellery and all kind of textile market in Chennai

Location and Service is also good. Minibar was not provided. Bathroom kit should contain everything including tooth, shaving kits but only shampoo and soaps were provided. Room facilities can be improved.

The Southern Crest was average and is not as good as the pix indicate. For a short stay, 1-2 days, it's fine. Breakfast spread was typical south Indian, but it tasted nice. Rooms were comfortable but cleanliness can improve. The downside is that room service is not great.

The Southern Crest is conveniently located, close to city commercial hub, still peaceful ambience. Centre of the city. Food is good, Service need some more improvements. Rooms to be renovated as they need to refurbished. Overall a good stay and enjoyed the food and facilities.

It's a great location in the center of city. Room and people are too good. Improvement immediately needed is pure water and also service charges levied on food. Suggestion for guest is stay there but don't eat there except breakfast. Spread of breakfast too good.

Good for short stays. Breakfast is not good. Reception is not so responsive and pleasant. However rooms are clean ans suitable for short stays within very reasonable tariffs. In T nagar near to parks and good restaurants. Parking is slightly problematic.

All the low star reviews are fake. The Southern Crest is an amazing place to stay. Complimentary breakfast was yum and there are lot of amenities like AC, WiFi which is common for all kinds of rooms. Recommended.

Situated at an excellent location for business people and family shopping. Got treated by very courteous staff and good food. I stayed with family here and can recommend for nice stay with family. Glad to book through Makemytrip, with additional discount and is worth for the money.
