The Machan

Considering the amount paid for the stay, i expected this property to be like a five star one, but the real luxury here is mainly the nature forest. The machan is extremely well designed, interior wise. The appliances however are so so, especially the a. C. I stayed in the starlight machan and the temperature outside the balcony was cooler at night than my room using 2 a. C acting like a slow fan. This place is excellent for honeymoon couples, however i noticed the private pool area is not so private as passerby staff can peep in. I enjoyed the nature trail trek to the sunset point. It was interesting. The food was good, however a little overpriced considering that 9% cgst and 9% gst is levied separately! the road at the entrance and the path leading to reception need urgentrrennovation. It is very uncomfortable. I tried cycling at the property, however it was impossible anywhere. But at least the main gate road should be put to shape. The service is a bit slow and yes only whatsapp call will work here, which is a problem if your cab driver is trying to contact you. The night is beautiful. The staff is wonderful. The activities arranged are very nice. Would like to suggest adding a trampoline at the property and a mini flower garden with a bench and swing. I think infrastructure wise it needs improvement in the areas outside the rooms. There also needs to be a The Machan culture or vision given to the team by the leader of the management, to maintain a brand value. If you want your customers to return, there needs to be more than a room with a view. The view is of course mind blowing and a big reason why anyone would pay a bomb to come here. Do not book starlight machan in moonsoon as they dont allow to open the roof fully, however private pool is there in this one. If you absolutely love nature, i recommend this for couples more so. Breakfast should have more options like pancakes and waffles.

It's a unique stay in the midst of nature. Every room is a wood hut/cabin done with an old look feel, with trees intact within the room. Every room is secluded, so you have no disturbance. Just nature around you! there is a lot of walking, so this place is not for people who have any issues with their legs. You must choose your room with great care. If you want to see sunset from your room, choose sunset machan. If you want to see stars, choose jungle machan plus or canopy machan or starlight. Somehow, the choices are not so clear while booking. The only downside about the room is the maintenance. My safe was not working. And, the room service can be a bit slow. All amenities are provided. The resort is very clean. You will enjoy the little surprises when you walk around- little ponds with frogs, a lake with fish, birds in trees, swings, sunset point, evening guided walk, fireplace etc. Food is good but can be greatly improved. Pizza, snacks, pancakes, south indian were good. However, north indian dishes and the desserts need improvement. The while experience is great but a little expensive. Little facilities like wifi or a guided walk should not be charged separately. Overall, it was refreshing.

However, there were some drawbacks to consider. Transparency regarding charges would be beneficial. We were surprised by the extra fees for amenities like wi-fi and some basic activities. Additionally, a long wait time upon arrival and the push for additional expenses slightly detracted from the overall experience. Despite these shortcomings, our stay at the machan was ultimately very good. The chance to connect with nature in such a beautiful setting was truly special. If you're seeking a unique and eco-friendly getaway, the machan could be a good option, just be prepared for potential extra charges and manage your expectations regarding wait times.

I wouldn’t call it a stay, i would call it the machan experience. Absolutely peaceful, beautiful and rejuvenating experience. They have a lot of activities a minimal extra charges which helps you have a great day in the woods as it’s a secluded place so not much else to do. Just relax back with a book, hear birds chirping and enjoy the peace and calm away from all the chaos. Food is delicious, specially the dinner by the fireplace. That’s a perfect date place where you sit in the open, under the star lit sky and surrounded by the greenery. Absolute stunning. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Just a few things - very accessible by road but a few more signboards would be helpful as internet doesn’t work closer to the property and they charge a premium fee for wifi which could be included in the high end fees already. Otherwise it’s brilliant, highly recommended!

1. Property is located in jungle with no network at the location. 2. Rooms are cleaned but we felt there has to be a pathway lights to avoid any accidents during a walk until a buffet area at night. 3. Staff is very helpful and listen to your concerns. 4. Big no for the deposit of 3k they ask during checkin which is not mentioned. 5. Good place to relax and spend some quality time with your partner. 6. We choose a snack menu as we arrived after the lunch time. Must try the chicken nuggets they’re fresh and crispy. 7. We choose dinner buffet. They had good options but i felt with the amount they charge there has to be some more options. 8. Alcohol is not served at the venue so if you want to drink do carry your alcohol along with you. 9. While going for dinner is too dark at night so be little careful. Slippery surfaces.

We traveled from pune for a quick weekend getaway. It was a very unique experience and we enjoyed our stay. The machans were very well maintained and equipped with all modern amenities to make your stay a pleasant one. Service was a bit slow in the restaurant and we felt the jungle machan was slightly overpriced. The view from the jungle machan is that of a jungle and not of the valley, as shown in the images which is slightly misleading. The forest trail organised by the naturalist at the resort was refreshing due to the natural flora and fauna being in full bloom in the monsoons. The overall stay experience was amazing and we would love to return - next time we would choose either the forest/heritage/starlight machan for better views.

As expected the stay was very good. The property is made is a very creative way. But the money spent should be worth it. We should at-least get to spend complete 24 house but instead we spend hardly 16 to 18 hours. Check in process is very lazy. Staff at lunch area don't know how to educate the rules about the area properly. Secondly disappointing thing was we asked to buy a sapling of amaryllis for which the staff denied to give. Reason given was there is no xtra to sale as they are rare. Later we checked in amazon and we easily got it. So we really were disappointed in these 2 things. The properly owner has really put his heart to design this in a very well manner. Loved the idea

The overall experience was good but there were several small issues like delay in reaching the place due to weekend excessive traffic on the way to tiger point. The management team should have given us a heads up for the same in advance so that the travel time could have been managed. The landline was not working to communicate with the staff. The repair work should have done before us reaching the property while getting the room ready. We were 3 hours late, then also the landline wasn’t working. The room we got was very comfortable and view was breathtaking. We were mesmerised by the nature and it’s beauty. Would love to go back again in future. 🌸

Best place to spend vacay. We stayed in canopy room and the view along-with ambiance was beyond our expectation.

We stayed at the sunset Machan which obviously means it gives a brilliant sunset view. The The Machan is wonderful,clean and spacious. The service of the staff was also very good.The check-in and Check-out were prompt.Snacks we ordered in the room, the dinner and breakfast were ready good.

The service quality was lagging. I was promised a couple of things by the staff which they did not provide and even claimed that they didn't assured me of those services.

Lots of wild creatures like snakes spider. Not recommended for kids as it's too risky. Please do carry emergency medicine as the place do not have any. Food very costly and not worthy. This place will only be recommended for couples who want to spend time alone without digital connectivity. Wifi is chargeable. As this is forest area please carry full clothes lots of mosquito, we got alot of bits on hands and legs.

An escape to nature. Safety and security ensured inside the premises. Loved it.

The property is located on a mountain in a dense forest under the trees. It’s well made and maintained with preserved as well as uplifted scenic beauty. It gives you a feeling of a proper getaway as it is nothing close to your daily life!

The propert was great and the staff over there was very cooperative overall loved the vibe of the place

It was a different experience amid-st natural surroundings. The property is excellent but no activities for children and grown-ups, like indoor games etc. Rat menace spoiled the overall experience.

The stay was good. The place is very nice and picturesque. Ambience and staff are courteous. All amenities are well maintained and nice. The big problem is food. No variety, quality is also not great, there are no other options nearby which makes the situation bad.

It was a wonderful experience away from hustle bustle. Purely to disconnect with everyone and connect with nature . Also a good place for romantic gateway ❤️

Worth stay, peace, starlight category is beyond imagination, healthy and quality food, nature living must visit.

Stayed for the anniversary there. Complimentaries were provided. Stay and food quality was good.
