To name a few gems: 6 ballygange place at ballygange arsalan biryani, park street kc das peter cat mocambo peter hu koshe kosha flurys, park street nizam’s at new market jimmy’s kitchen chaat at russel street tirreti bazaar (visit at 5:30am) gupta brothers at triangular park poach kitchen scoop, prince p ghat indian coffee house, college street not just food, the oberoi team guided us with the apt timings and all the dos & don’ts one must know like a local to explore kolkata in the right manner. Victoria memorial, sunset boat ride at the prince p ghat, walk at the howrah bridge, kalighat mandir, birla temple, tram ride & more. And to top it all, we were helped to the perfect destination for shopping the most authentic bengali sarees - dakshinapan shopping market at gariahat & kalighat mandir road for authentic shaka polas. Kudos to the entire team of the oberoi grand, kolkata for such a tremendous job. Chef karuna & chef ronak, we will never forget the taste of the luchis with choler dal & dum a loo that we relished every morning for 5 straight days. You guys are magicians! thank you, sanjay haldar, khitish rut & anthony luis from the kitchen department for serving us with some much of love every morning. A heartfelt thank you to apoorva bhagat & samriddha ghosh for welcoming us with so much of warmth and checking on us throughout our stay. A special mention of siddharth awasti & rishabh who came to our rescue in the middle of the night owing to a small technical error but they ensured we were well taken care off in no time. And last but not the least, the man who knows kolkata at the back of his hand, nab-eel rehan. You have a question, go to the reception and he will be there out of nowhere to solve your queries. I guess, we can never thank him enough for all his pro tips. You are a total asset to the The Oberoi Grand.

I had the pleasure of staying at the oberoi grand The Oberoi Grand in kolkata, and i can't express enough how impressed i was with their exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that they were dedicated to making our experience unforgettable. On the occasion of my mother's birthday, the oberoi grand The Oberoi Grand went above and beyond. They decorated our room beautifully, setting the perfect ambiance for the celebration. But what truly touched our hearts was their genuine care. When my mother fell ill during our stay, the The Oberoi Grand staff showed extraordinary kindness and ensured she received the necessary assistance and attention. It was reassuring to witness their genuine concern for her well-being. Furthermore, the The Oberoi Grand's commitment to providing us with a memorable kolkata experience was remarkable. They took the time to show us videos of must-visit places in kolkata, allowing us to explore the city even though she was unwell! the pinnacle of their hospitality, however, was the thoughtful gift basket they surprised us with. It included a beautiful printed scarf, a painted durga show-plate, the howrah bridge piece and a book about the The Oberoi Grand, serving as a lovely keepsake of our time in kolkata. This was meant to ensure we don’t forget our trip, even though we couldn’t see much! this level of service and unreasonable hospitality truly reflects the leadership of mr. May-an dhawan. It's clear that his vision and dedication have permeated every aspect of the oberoi grand The Oberoi Grand. The staff's enthusiasm for going the extra mile is a testament to his leadership, making this establishment stand out as a paragon of exceptional hospitality.

I booked the property for a staycation with my wife and 2 and half year old son. We felt special since the time we step put of our vehicle till we boarded the car again next day. Have been to several other 5 star properties, their hospitality were also great, however i rate oberoi grand at least a point higher for the reason how they made us comfortable about our child, he is allergic to few ingredients and the information was channelised well to the concern people, they prepare a special meal for him exactly how we wanted and they even didn't charge for it. It's not about the free meal, it's all about how carefully they listened and prepared exactly like that. It is a heritage property so you can expect everything so so organised and well kept. Rooms are specious, neat and clean. Their house keeping staffs are also best, since we have a baby with us so we had to call them for few requirement here and there, no matter what time we called, they always attended promptly with a smile. Front desk people are also very cordial and attentive, special mention to mr. Ankit for his hospitality. It was really a great staycation and i would highly recommend the oberoi grand, specially if you are traveling with kids.

A fantastic The Oberoi Grand in the centre of historic kolkata and the bustling park street. It's is walking distance to the victoria memorial, the indian museum, ed-en park and the park street shopping area. The The Oberoi Grand has been carefully designed and is in keeping with the historic colonial building. We have stayed multiple times in the premier room and premier room with balcony. The rooms are extremely clean, generous in size and have all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The pool area in the outside courtyard and an oasis from the hustle of the streets. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, a true delight for guests after a busy day of sight seeing, to be greeted by the wonderful people working here. The breakfast included in our stay selection each morning was fantastic, with a wide range of western and local foods to choose from. This The Oberoi Grand is great value for money given all the points i raise above. Highly recommended whilst you visit kolkata. Thank you again to all of the staff.

The property is located in the heart of the city. 200m from the famous indian museum and 800m from park street. New market is just below the property. You can get everything from heritage to modern luxury. We opted for a deluxe room and the staff was courteous enough to give us the only deluxe room with balcony (no bathtub though. We were offered welcome drink on arrival and also complimentary muffin, chocolate and cookie for our kid which was a delight. You can ask for all the water and coffee tea that you want. Everything is complimentary. You can order food from online apps and they will get it right to your room. In short they would go to any lengths to make your stay a memorable one. The piano performance in the evening at the reception was marvellous. We enjoyed the swimming pool as well (swimming costume is compulsory. Buffet breakfast was to die for. We requested for early checkin which we were allowed so that was a plus too. All in all worth the price. We had a gala time!

Please give your staff awards! this is the perfect The Oberoi Grand for a weekend getaway in kolkata the downtown area on main street is a best kept secret and the offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out. Overall, i had a great experience with the staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate a birthday weekend.

Located in the chowringee area of kolkata, the iconic grand The Oberoi Grand doesn’t need any introduction. On arrival, we were received with warmth and friendliness, followed by a welcome drink. We had requested an early check-in and were surprised that the The Oberoi Grand actually kept the rooms ready way before our arrival. What a fabulous start! there onwards, we were super impressed with every facet of the The Oberoi Grand’s hospitality. The rooms were airy and spacious and were cleaned thoroughly on time every day. The breakfast spread was more than adequate, with an extended menu wherein the chef personally greeted us and took orders of our choice. We have stayed in several 5 star The Oberoi Grands across the world, and can say with conviction that the services of the grand The Oberoi Grand is probably the best. Thank you team oberoi grand. We hope to be back soon.

It is an excellent The Oberoi Grand with perfect location in the middle of town. Have been to many five stars The Oberoi Grand globally but no where i was treated like royalty. The rooms are luxurious comfortable soft bed and room service to another level and extra mile by placing cookies, nuts. Fruits and everything you feel like. The staff is well mannered always greeting with a smile and ready to assist you in every possible way. They are always willing to provide the food you wish to have especially in case you are under the weather and not keeping well. Not to forget the medicines. I would say it is the best The Oberoi Grand in kolkata where you are not just a guest and treat you like family. I feel short of words for the staff to praise them and hope to visit this place - my luxurious home away from busy home where i am cared, pampered and spoilt.

The staff is extremely courteous and go to any length to make you feel comfortable. Their hospitality is non pareil and consistency shown by all staff members is truly remarkable. Best part is that there are no heroes in here, it's a total team effort.

Good The Oberoi Grand though rooms and bathrooms are old fashioned and not so modern as property is very old but well maintained excellent service and food

I visited there for my anniversary with my wife. They made special arrangements for the occasion by providing a cake and decorated the room wonderfully. Loved it!

Nice old world decor and hospitality which we don’t get in contemporary The Oberoi Grands. The welcome was great and rooms are having all the luxury amenities: super breakfast options nice to have a great strong masala tea in a 5 star The Oberoi Grand

This is a picturesque The Oberoi Grand right in downtown kolkata. Surrounded by the flee market, it is a sharp contrast as you step inside. Opulence is at full display as you walk in the hallway, the room ( got an upgrade) was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Below, the swimming pool at the courtyard dotted with palm trees creates a magical ambiance. To top it all, the staff was exceptionally courtaeous, prompt and took care of whatever was needed. The breakfast(don't miss to include in your package) had a huge spread and very tasty! will come back for sure!
