Usha Ascot

We stayed at usha ascot for my birthday. My parent gave us a surprise by visiting so we took them along instead of canceling our plans. When we reached there the staff greeted us with affection & they were very considerate taking in to account my mothers frail health they accommodated our last minute change in number of people & gave us bigger rooms, also ensuring we got the suite closer to the dining area. What was really great was when we went for lunch we not only noticed that the buffet was well organized in the hall also that they had a black board chalking out the evening plans with -magic show, housie & gazal night & dancing if you are interested. The dinner & high tea are pool side so t eh ambience is just great having dinner while u listen to some beautiful live music. The magic show was for everyone so t eh guests kind of mingles shared a laugh & the evening just turned out more fun than i had expected. There are point long walks and sight seeing in matheran but staying here was an experience in itself. And never open your balcony! the Usha Ascot gives its fair share of warnings & if you bypass tat like we did u may expect a horde of monkeys climbing down to your room to have a quick trip in your room so heed the advice! do not open the sliding windows!they also have many amenities- pool, badminton court, karoake, at-least these were the ones we saw. I am-sure there were many other stuff too. The experience was great & we look forward to visiting again for a nice relaxing weekend for the whole family! thank you for the great experience!

We had a pleasant weekend at usha ascot. The deluxe room was clean and neat, through rather small in size. The food was tasty and well prepared. The dining facilities were sufficient, though some of the Usha Ascot facilities looked in need of maintenance. We made it a point to wear our masks and carry our own hand sanitizers as the same were not provided by the Usha Ascot. The staff were courteous, especially the two gentlemen at reception, and our requests were quickly attended to. Overall a pleasant stay.
We spent two nights at usha ascot as a family. The deluxe room was clean and neat, through rather small in size. The food was tasty and well prepared. We stayed for two nights in january 2022 alike all matheran Usha Ascots usha ascot is an old dated property. Most Usha Ascots in india and so on matheran have also seen the onslaught of covid disruption. Despite that usha retained its old grandeur and was clean enough. Staff was attentive and attending to housekeeping and property maintenance. We enjoyed the solitude of forest facing deluxe rooms at the lower level, although it had a bit of mobile connectivity issue. However they have more expensive executive suits and family cottages too which face the pool where mobile signal was strong satuday dinner was outdoor and a bit lavish with live counter for chats. Sun-day dinner was more subdued and indoors due to less occupancy. The food was just ordinary but spread sufficient to choose from usha appeared definitely a place to go for my fellow gujarati's.

I stayed with family at usha ascot for 3 nights in early may ‘23. Overall the experience was good. I am given to understand it is one of few good Usha Ascots in matheran. I stayed at their suite and it is good for 2 adults and two children or 4 adults. Though the Usha Ascot only serve vegetarian food the breakfast & dinner were really good while lunch was ‘thali’ system & we found it ok. All the staff was very courteous & will go out of the way to ensure your request is catered. The swimming pool is small & not very welcoming. Monkey menace is a big negative but it’s the same story all around matheran. Overall i will rate it 7. 5/10

Excellent experience while booking through makemytrip site. Resort ' usha ascot ' at matheran was really excellent property. I would say it's best property. Lots of greenery, jungle like feel and no interference of outsiders. Property built in such a way the it's exclusive for guests who would like to relax, enjoy and be with near and dear ones without any disturbance. Excellent room service, reception staff. Food was really health with less of oil. Music during night was very soothing and the singer was singing live songs that were really appreciated by all

The place is the most appropriate place to stay in matheran. Hotel is close to all the points people need to visit. That’s a big relief, else you have to walk additional 2-3 km every day. Place is beautiful big and have clean and spacious room. View from each room is awesome. Just ensure to book dinner along with your booking to get better deals, else you have to pay 600 per person. You can’t order food items other than sandwiches. After a hectic though pleasant walk you would not like to walk for another 1 km to few good restaurants in the market.

Executive rooms are good with a double bed and a sofa cum bed. Rooms were clean. Staff was polite and cooperative. The main person mr. Kishorebhai who is at the reception was quite helpful and ready to help 24*7. A family member was unwell and he cs-aid he would help us with a doctor visit in case its needed even in the middle of the night. Thought we did not need a doctor but a person who stands by when we don't know where to go means a lot. Food was good and hygenic. They have options of jain food. Overall a good experience.

Food was satisfactory but snack such as dabeli and panipur should be avoided as no taste. It's hygienic my family enjoyed the stay music and disco staff is polite bit people take advantage of it. I could see diaper in the open air breakfast served. Also i have notice staff is bit slow in work people put the bowl and take the soup smell the food that's very unhygienic for others. They should keep everything ready and the floor manager should aay the dinner will be served at 8. 30 rather people started at 8. 15

It's a nice Usha Ascot. Not a five star but for a short stay with family, it is an ideal place. It's a veg Usha Ascot so do not expect non-veg food. There's a bar which operates in the evening. The thali lunch in their restaurant is excellent. Breakfast is passable. Dinner is okay. Pool is quite nice. Service is ok. We had booked two deluxe rooms so we were updraged to a villa. Villas are very nice. Kishor is front office is very helpful and well connected with locals. This was out

Good maintained property, good location, nice greenary

Staff were extremely helpful, receptionist kishore was excellent working out our walking itinerary & making our stay very pleasant. Food package had lot of variety & delicious, walking tours were full of surprises with breathtaking views. We will definitely recommend this resort to our friends & visit again

We + wife & kid) stayed for a night over the weekend. The food was great, so were the ghazal night and disco. The maintenance needs to be done though.

Property is good. Pool side dinner setup is fantastic. Food varieties and taste is very good. Only problem is monkeys. Otherwise i liked the stay. Thank you

It was a good expression to stay with family. Food was also made good and overall staff and service was liked by all members of family.

The property is amazing. Room and cleanliness is amazing. Food for veg, i wasn’t expecting too great but the food surprised me and it was great. If in matheran must stay here.

We got an upgrade on our existing booking which is why maybe our experience was good otherwise the option we went for was decent usha ascot is in the interiors the points are walkable distance the food there is overpriced and not worth

The Usha Ascot and the room on their own are really worth the charges as compared to the other Usha Ascots in the vicinity, but the food served here is below average and a huge disappointment. We booked our 3 night stay here with an all meals package, the stay however pleasant but the food was terrible not only in the terms of variety and options served but the quality of food was also sub-standard.
