Velvet Clarks Exotica

I stayed at the velvet clarks exotica for a night. I was returning from my trek in himachal and had a flight home from chandigarh. It was a place recommended by my friends and i honestly, did not read up much before reserving the Velvet Clarks Exotica. We were on the 1st floor. The rooms are very spacious, the room cooling is excellent, the bathrooms were clean, wifi worked like magic. I had my dinner at the Velvet Clarks Exotica, and the spread was decent. The spread wasn't really lavish, but it was just about ok. So was the breakfast spread as well. The place where the buffet dinner is laid out, is indoor and around a few fountains. Therefore, in the evenings we had these mosquitoes all over the place. Also, the buffet area, though indoor, is not air conditioned. There are fans that sprinkle water, but that does not really help. If anyone is planning to stay there, please note that they do not have their cars that you can hire. They'll give you some tour operator's number for you to manage your travel on your own. Their rooms are nice. The linens were clean. And the furniture looked to be in good condition. The disappointment though, stems from the fact that they provide only one 1-litre drinking water bottle, which they must understand, is never enough. Long story short, i think my stay was absolutely comfortable at the Velvet Clarks Exotica.

Stay was good. Facilities provided were also good given to price of the room. Ambience excellent. However while booking it showed at 910 meter distance from Chandigarh International Airport. On booking invoice showed distance 12 km. Actually while going it turned out to be 15 km. Since we had a morning flight at 0630 we had to start early. Knowing there will be no cabs available at 0400 or 0430 am, Velvet Clarks Exotica assisted in getting the taxi but prices were exceptionally high. for 15 km which turns out to be more than ₹ 50 per km. People booking the Velvet Clarks Exotica for transit to their flights may take call accordingly.

Location is convenient but food is horrible, so is cleanliness and hygiene standards. Rooms were filled with a foul smell. Paid 4500 for a night and still got such smelly rooms. No doubt rooms are quite spacious but hygiene standards are terrible. If had a choice would have some other Velvet Clarks Exotica instantly but others were sold that day. Breakfast buffet was very disorganised and seating arrangements were botched up. Very less options and that too were bland. This Velvet Clarks Exotica does not deserve to be a 4 star as advertised. Very bad experience

Eye appealing & huge infrastructure. The pool theme based water-bench restaurant was so attractive especially in the evening dinner time. Had a very nice experience staying in this beautiful resort. My family had a great time exploring the food delicases, the lush green lawns & the entire staff was very welcoming. Special thanks to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Would love to visit again & highly recommended. A must visit place.

Had a great experience staying with velvet. A very nice Velvet Clarks Exotica with lush green lawns and beautifully decorated banquets. All the staff members were so concerned right from welcoming with warm smile till the departure. We were so pleased with their win win attitude. Our room was upgraded and we were treated like kings. Thanks for the hospitality and everything. Highly recommended infact one of the best resort in chandigarh.

We needed a place to halt post our shimla trip and this Velvet Clarks Exotica was a good option between kalka railway station and chandigarh airport. The Velvet Clarks Exotica is huge and i think it must have been beautiful during its prime years. The lobby decor was good however the rooms were a little worn out. However the washroom were spacious and neat! the staff were very courteous. Overall, good one!

The stay at the property was surprisingly pleasant. Though the approach service lane to the hostel entrance is slightly damaged and uneven, but once inside the premises, it is calm and serene n lush green surrounding. The rooms are decently good and staff courteous. The breakfast spread was amazing and sumptuous. Would definitely prefer to stay again when in zirakpur or chandigarh next time. Keep it up.

The rooms were spacious, staff was co-operative and helpful and ambience was good. The only negative i noticed is the variety in food buffet. They could have added more varieties. For example dinner buffet has only one non veg dish, no starter. While the pricing is close to 4 star more variety can certainly be added. Other than this i did not find any negatives.

Hotel is good, rooms are clean, food is also good but only thing is annoying that it is very hard to get cab in this location. If somebody is coming here with his own vehicle then probably the best property in a location like zirakpur. Special mention mr sagar in reception, is very helpful and cordial.

The stay was super comfortable. The room and the bathroom was sooo spacious. It was absolutely worth every penny spent. The breakfast spread was very generic. That can improve.
