Wildernest Nature Resort is a perfect getaway for nature lovers. The property is located in the midst of a dense forest and offers breathtaking views of the valley. The infinity pool is a highlight and the food is delicious with a variety of local dishes. The staff is courteous and helpful. The property offers various activities like trekking, pottery, and folk dance. However, the rooms need an upgrade and housekeeping needs attention. The property is not suitable for those who are scared of insects.

We went in the month of June. Weather was fine. Rooms are far away from the reception. If you need a room close to the restaurant you please specify because the property is too big and rooms are scattered everywhere with lots. of steps to walk. Experience:- When we reached the parking lot Wildernest Nature Resort vehicle picked us and drop us to the reception, drivers were friendly. When we reached the reception one Wildernest Nature Resort staff was allotted to us to show us our rooms, we were in a big group and had lot of luggage and we were with a one year old child and Wildernest Nature Resort staff didn't bother to help us with our luggage nor did he bother to show us our room. Me, my wife with our one year old son waited for about 15 minutes and there was no one to either help with the luggage or to show us the room. (I have said show us the room cos there you can't find the rooms on your own cos there are no direction boards and the property is huge so you have to walk a lot. After 15 minutes some other staff was passing by so we asked him to help us and he did. The staff who was supposedly told to help us was missing. When we went for a swim there was no staff around to provide swim towels, there was no board to show where is the changing room and the room was not visible also. So my wife got the towel from our room to wipe our son and one of the staff member came and with attitude started saying that why are you using the room towel we are not going to give you another towel in the room now... Go and get towel from the changing room... On asking where is the changing room he just very rudely pointed out the way... The restaurant is small. When we went to have food in the restaurant there was no place to sit. I had to wait for bout 20 minutes just to sit. No staff comes to help /provide a chair even if your carrying a baby. Welcome drink was not served to us.. When we went for lunch we had to ask for it and has to get it. Food was good. Those who are scared of insects, this place is not meant for them. Can't complain on this ground cos the place is in the forest.
Expected surprise but got a shock

It was raining heavily when we went there (August). Amazing reviews of this place rose my expectations. Location is awesome and so is it's infinity pool. I booked forest view cottage for 2 days. This place is strictly for adventure. I was not interested in trekking because of my health and thus all went in vain. Except trekking and infinity pool there is nothing that could keep you engaged. No TV, room full of snails, leeches, lizard and other insects, damp bed. Everything seemed wet, moist and damp. I am fine with all wet outside but in room should be dry. We slept at night with our faces covered so that leech that we could see on roof would not fall on our face. Next day I didn't even cared of my second day of booking, packed my bag off to Goa. Light is so dim in room that you cannot even check your bed linen for insects. Soap case and tissue roll holder was strategically placed in the bathroom, soap case on top of tissue roll. Whenever you wash your hand and keep soap back in case the water would drain on tissue roll making unusable. Food was good and so was traditional lamp dance that was there in evening. But you won't get anything till specified buffet timings except for drinks on drinks counter. They should have some ala carte menu as well for off timings, say maggi or bhajia. People were telling that they saw glowing fungus during evening trek, wow! I would still like to visit and try this place in winters once when it's little dry. But insects and dampness in room is anytime intolerable to me. My advice would be to prefer valley view rooms, forest view rooms do not have any special view. Also if you are not going for trekking here you will be deathly bored.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of goa, this place is definitely worth visiting at least for one night - the location is beautiful, the drive to the resort gives you mesmerising views of the western ghats, in monsoon you can spot beautiful waterfalls on your way as well. - as this is a remote location, all meals are included. Food is prepared fresh and is simple, hygienic nad tasty. They have good variety including goan dishes and north indian. - saying thta the infinity pool is spectacular is an understatement. You have to see it to experience it. - the resort people organize activities to keep you busy throughout the day which includes trek, folk dance performance etc. - rooms are clean, bathrooms are clean. No complaints. - i visited in aug end, it rains heavily and hence it was cold. Since it is a jungle resort, there were few harmless insects as well. Maybe it is better to visit in summers. There is no room service, no wifi in rooms(available in restaurant and other common areas), no indoor games etc. The owners believe that this is a nature resort and would like you to enjoy the experience fully without any distractions - please note the resort is located in the middle of the jungle so be prepared to see some harmless insects.

The place is in a wild life area. The resort is build in such a way so that thar raw wild beauty of nature is preserved. I am happy it's build so. But before going i ll recommend to expect the below. Infinite pool is amazing. Pure natural water. Rarely get to see that purity in pools nowadays the resort is at a height, there is a cable car to reach to the top. You get to see nice twin water fall view on the ride in monsoon, floors might be dump at night lights are not bright enough to walk around, so make sure u have a torch no room service is available since it might attract insects. U can only have food provided there. It's homely food and traditional food. I loved it u have to walk a distance to restaurant pools etc depending upon where your cottage is. Guides are good and are well aware about forest and hiking areas they offer night trail and hikes starts exactly on time unless they change timings due to some issue. Do take night trail, u ll get to see variety of wild life and bioluminescence. Make sure u wear shoes and carry a torch no phone service for most of the providers in the room and wifi is only available in reception which is at a distance. Welcome drink was kokum sarbath which was yummy
Good Stay

Details of the driver picking us up at the airport weren't provided and the reception had no idea we were coming when I contacted them hours before our arrival. Dead bugs on the mattress. Should have been cleaned away by the room staff, but weren't during our 4 night stay. Owners don't invest in training field staff, whose knowledge of floor is quite poor. No games or activities available throughout the day. Broken sun beds around pool. No snacks available between meals. Given the rate, these things should be done better. Owners were there during our stay yet not one approached us to ask how we were finding the place. All were too absorbed in their own little `exclusive' groups. Despite the drawbacks, the venue is worth an extended visit.
Unorthodox and Adventurous trip!

We(with my wife) had a sweet two days trip at wildernest on the first week of July. We faced heavy rain in all over Goa. But the monsoon brought a serene nature and overwhelming waterfalls were really worth from our balcony view cottages. Wildernest is a completely eco- friendly resort and closest to the wild nature you can imagine at Goa, which we all know about its famous sea beaches. Goan foods were awesome and trekking to the waterfalls were also breathtaking adventure and full of thrills!! We love to come here again with our families again :-)
Perfect destination for family and "sensible" friends

Everything was good. People here are down to earth and serve you very well. Food was "satvik, just in the dinner chapati's bater felt like maida was mixed, which can be avoided to maintain the quality and purpose of " satvik ahhar. Over all very good. Any one planing to visit, please plan for 2 days so that you can relax properly and enjoy neatly without getting tired. Thank you wilder-nest nature resort, team, staff and mmt. Special hats off to lamp dance performers. Will vista again when time permits.
Experience being one with the nature

I would definitely visit here again. The beautiful road to reach wildernest, all the mountains in the region were lush green in the middle of may. We didn’t feel the need of air conditioning in the room day/night! food was authentic and delicious. The property is very beautifully maintained. The pool is even better than the pictures. It’s all clean and natural water. We went with our 2 year old, and she had a fantastic time! note: if you forget sunscreen, that’s okay. But do carry a mosquito repellent.
Superb property

Hidden in the midst of western ghats of goa, this mesmerising property is truly awesome. The drive here from the plains of goa is breath taking. With the winding roads and dense rain forest. When one arrives at this property the access to the reception is via a cable car which slowly makes its way through the mountains and offers great views of the clouds and the hills the staff is super friendly. Food is mouthwatering with wide options. Truly a 5 star in the hills

The resort is mind blowing. Situated in the jungle over an area of 450 acres. The infinity swimming pool is awesome. Food is mouthwatering. Worth a stay at least once in lifetime. 60 km from Goa and Belgaum both. Don't miss it.

Perfect place for a break

Went there for my honeymoon stay. This place is located in the chorla ghats around 65 KMs away from Dabolim airport. We availed airport pickup and drop for 2200. This is a perfect place for a break as you wont find mobile network or WiFi over there. Loved everything about this place. the cottage, view from balcony, food was awesome esp chicken biryani, Service is prompt. Minimum 2 to 3 days stay recommended.

Overall a good place to stay. But found it to be scary at a times as we found a snake as soon as we entered the resort and we're walking towards the room. Food was descent enough. Nothing to complain about. No wifi & no ac was a drawback i feel after paying so much. Hot water was a issue in the morning times.
Nature at its best

Awesome location with excellent planned activities. However the food is very typical of the location/ region and travelers need to take this into consideration as there are no alternatives available.
