Zostel Dalhousie

This was my first stay at Zostel, being a Solo traveler from Bhopal, for me each penny made my trip worth up. Not to forget to add to this the entire credit goes to Vinay a young aspiring adventure frenzy volunteer there. He pleasingly persuaded me for this small hike to Dhaikund peak, counselling me since, I had a recent surgery in my leg, so I was sure to avoid it. But, this young genius convinced me, and that particular hike was the bliss I experienced. The weather changed and it started heavy hailstorm, rainfall and thunderstorm. With all like minds Zostel guests we were the only group which completed the entire hike as the mountains kept on changing it's colour from green to white, the chilly winds made it more difficult and the hailstorm was hitting each part of our body like stones aimed to kill us. No one was prepared for this sudden weather shift, hence no ropes, no sticks, no gloves, no raincoats, in short, we were bare to face the results. Make it, come what may. But the entire group's synergy and our young guide who had just two words, to motivate us, we have very close to our destination, bas a gala. Food, music, exchange of thoughts, lovable and most memorable trip.

Zostel is best for Solo travelers. I am along with my group of 4 boys. We stacked in heavy snow fall due to which we couldn't able to leave Zostel Dalhousie but the staff was very helpful and kind to us and for all who stay in Zostel Dalhousie. Best view from roof of zostel. There is a staff member named karan who helped us a lot. He arranged all transport facilities to leave. In the last I would like to thank all staff members. One more thing this place is best for making new friendships. You have whole Zostel Dalhousie to move and play indoor games like chess, carom, monopoly, uno and much more. And outdoor games as well like badminton, bonfire. I have no words to say about anything for the kindness and helpfulness of staff members. Food was good, not excellent. Our bathroom geyser was not working but they provide rod. Beds and room was super clean with a super view of mountain covered with snow from gallery. You have common room to interact with others. Thanks to all staff members specially Karan Bhai.

Most of the things about Zostel DalHousie were fantastic apart from a couple of points: 1. The location is a but isolated and you need to hike some kilometers to reach the mall road, 2. They have activity night daily, but if the crowd is less they try to avoid these activities. 3. You need to keep your luggage at the zostel at your own risk. Any stolen item is not their responsibility. Here are some of the do if you are staying in Zostel DalHousie: 1. Try to go there in weekends. On Saturday and Sunday the crowd will be more and you would enjoy a lot in the night activities like mafia night, movie night, open mic. 2. If visiting the market try to reach back at Zostel before sunset. You might find bear or leopard at night in the route from mall road to Zostel. 3. Carry valuables with you or keep them in the cupboard provided by Zostel. Do remember to lock it.

We had an amazing stay and would like to reccomend this place for backpackers and specially for budget travellers. This is a decent Zostel Dalhousie and dont expect much on infrastructure or luxery. The Zostel Dalhousie location is remote amids the hills and something that will be admired by nature lovers. Reaching the place is a task if you dont have your own vehical. The Zostel Dalhousie staff is very nice and always there to help. We would like to thank amit, rohit and amala for making our stay truly comfortable. The food is ok ok since the same is experienced all across the hill station.

We chose Dalhousie as our destination because of the Zostel, and I'm glad we did. We had our apprehensions about the number of days but towards the end, even extending our stay didn't seem like such a bad idea too. Kudos to the hospitality. I don't think I've come across a bunch of such sweet people in a Long time. The stay, food, concept and people, everything was a treat. I've had a lot of my 'first so at this place be it my first semi Solo trip, spotting shooting stars or even playing their USP game 'mafia'. Zostel Dalhousie will always be remembered.

Our entire trip of Dalhousie was the best we could have asked for. We decided to stay at Zostel which I felt was worth the stay. The staff members were very coordinative and helpful, food was amazing so were the ostlers who stayed there. Loved the game Mafia! Special mention for Raman Ji for organizing our trip to Sach pass and Dainkund peak. Overall our entire experience was simply amazing, breathtaking and adventurous.

This hostel located at 5 km from bus stand, you need to take cab to reach there. Surrounding are awesome but you can't walk to any nearest place from here. You need cab for all the site visit or even market. If you are planning only for stay at this place then it's beautiful. But if you want to roam out find a place near Gandhi Market.

Decided not to stay even after paying. The condition is very poor. Images are very deceptive maybe it was shot when the property was launched but has not been maintained and looks nothing like the images. You have to climb 70 odd steps to come out of the property. Bell boy and parking is not available as mentioned. Horrible experience.

Guys it's difficult to commute to Zostel as it's 3 km from Gandhi chowk. But when you reach over there you don't feel like going anywhere. It's a complete space for enjoyment. Must try food. MASALA MAGGI. If you travel alone it's the best experience to know different people from all over India.

Everything was just amazing. The rooms were great but moreover all the cool activities and fun added cherry to the top.
Our Zostel experience was the best. The services, the activities, the fun, the view. It was all young travellers could ask for. Definitely recommend everyone to book a hostel wherever they travel.

It was a very nice stay, everything was good. The rooms were comfortable and clean. And the property needs to arrange some parking space as I was not able to Park my vehicle properly. But I will surely suggest this property for all.

Zostel is so beautiful and the view from the terrace, room window is wow and Zostel team member great. Naveen Bhaiya, Ronit Bhaiya and Ramiyan Bhaiya all are great. Every day schedule is fix and and lovely trip in less money especially for student.

The location shown on Google maps is about 12-15 km away from the actual location. Always ask someone for help at Gandhi Chowk. The location is serene beauty! The staff is helpful, the food is good and there are great places nearby to go for a trek. Had a great time and met some wonderful people. Will cherish the memories forever!

Zostel dalhousie stay was amazing. Staff was amazing. Room are clean. I enjoyed morning view from dalhousie. Overall i enjoyed the stay.
