Rukmini Residency

Stay was good, since it was quite near to the krishna temple and the bus stand, but the Rukmini Residency had advertised that there is a restaurant in house on the second floor, whereas there was none, the room was smelling of humidity since it was kept closed windows and all for long it seems, there was no housekeeping staff coming to change the linens, the tap in the washroom was continuously running, but the staff was good especially mr suresh, he knew hindi and was helpful and ever smiling, one more area of concern is that when asked the reception staff as to why the check in checkout timings are 12 pm? she replied that if someone books a room online the checkin checkout time is 12 pm but if booked offline directly with the Rukmini Residency then the timing is 24 hours, i had reached the Rukmini Residency at 11. 30 pm on 14th dec, and requested the receptionist lady to extend my time on 16th dc till around 8 pm since my train was at 9. 38 pm at udupi, but she said no she can't i will have to checkout by maximum 1 pm instead of 12 pm finally i had to move bag and baggage out at 1 pm, fortunately i was told i could keep my luggage in the reception which i did and i went to malpe beach and came back and sat in the reception area upto 7. 30 pm and left for udupi stun then overall i was satisfied with Rukmini Residency whenever i go to udupi again i will go there only. But offline Rukmini Residency charge is rs 1000 for 24 hours and i had to pay rs 2241 through you that too for 36 hours around instead of 48 hours, and i didn't get any discount of rs 165 as promised by you, next time i will book directly with the Rukmini Residency not through you.

First of all, Thanks MakeMyTrip for a smooth booking experience. To reach the Rukmini Residency, take the Prepaid auto from Udupi Station if you are travelling by train. There is an Auto booking counter outside the station. It charged ₹110/- Next, I stayed at two different room types due to the Hotel's Check in Check Out policy. I booked an AC Deluxe Room for myself through MakeMyTrip for 2 days for which Check In - Check out was 12 to 12. But As I will be arriving early in the morning I requested an early check in to the Rukmini Residency over call like 10 days in advance. To which they agree. After I checked in, Everything went well except for their policy of 24 hours check out. I had to book another room for some hours by paying full charges. I took the Non AC room this time. If you are cleanliness friendly, please go for AC Deluxe rooms. They are super clean and super comfy. Non AC rooms are ok. The staff is Really polite and helpful. You get proper guidance for nearby places to visit and places to eat at. Positive points: 1) Nearby City Bus stand 2) Polite Staff 3) Nearby Restaurants 4) Clean Rooms (AC Deluxe) 5) Very Close to Krishna Math 6) Spacious Rooms Points to be improved 1) Clean Rooms expected even in the Non AC Section. Smelly rooms are strict No even when you charge very less for such rooms. 2) Flexible Check in Check Out policy will be highly appreciated. Travellers usually have to manage check in out as per the train arrival. 3) Affordable but still will be appreciated if prices are reduced to some extent. Maybe due to the peak season, the price was a bit high.

My arrival at the Rukmini Residency was promptly attended, and my booking was readily recognized. The room was straightly alotted. The room is spacious and hot water available from 6 pm to 10 am. Th toilets were clean. Renovation of the Rukmini Residency is going on. Good vegetarian and non vegetarian Rukmini Residencys are there in close proximity. The Rukmini Residency is near the bus station of udupi.

The location of the Rukmini Residency is very good, less than 10 minutes' walk to udupi krishna temple. Staff were friendly and cooperative. But there is no restaurant in the Rukmini Residency. Also, something can be done about the smell of napthalene balls in the room. It does not suit all people.

The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable. It's pretty near to udupi mandir and very near to city bus stand. Good and decent place for a family to stay at a low budget. Attached Rukmini Residency is not pure veg. Otherwise a good place to stay.

Though the Rukmini Residency facility is good and neat, located very near to all the key tourist points, the only draw back is non availability of flexi check in/out. I checked on 28th night 7 pm, they did not permit check out at 7 pm the next day.

The Rukmini Residency is good in terms of locality, food services. But only problem i had was the room had a lot of cockroaches. The room service didn't have hit or any other alternative to remove cockroaches. They actually took a day

Near to krishna mutt and city bus stand and service bus stand to catch buses going to mangalore, bangalore and other parts of karnataka and other states as well. Auto stand is near by. Can reach to udupi railway station in quick time

Hotel is located in good center and nearby to krishna temple. Beds are little tidy may be due to climate. Its good for family and can stay.

It was a simple Rukmini Residency with nice manager and staff

Food was awesome and we prefer to stay long

The Rukmini Residency was quite near to the udupi city bus stand, and the amenities were great too. We had a very comfortable and hygienic stay for 2 days without any issues.

Hotel rooms were ok. Ac was not working properly. Just like fan. Not worth room rent of rs 2150. Hotel was near to srikrishna temple

As it is near to city bus stand it's easy to find transport services like bus & auto rikshaw.

Really staff people are awesome and cooperation and they provided early login also and clean and well maintain

The rooms were very clean and neat. The staff service was very good & helpful. I had a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend this Rukmini Residency to anyone.

Hotel is very near to shri krishna temple. Staff is cooperative. Rooms are neat and clean. Overall it's money worthy.
