Location is beautiful and surrounded by dense trees. Air was par at its best around the villa. And the extreme cold weather further added to its charm. Villa has won many awards for its exquisitely decorated flower garden. And we were lucky that our room had its view. Also we were amazed by the simple yet charming colonial era architecture of the villa. Finally a Hotel for the excellent food quality which was also reasonably priced with a homemade touch thanks to Mr. Lonely and his wife. We were a kind of nervous while leaving this place after a stay of 3 nights and 4 days. Will definitely recommend everyone to visit this place. We are really going to Miss this place.

The property is away from the hustle and bustle of the main town but not too far which makes it’s location perfect. It’s a huge property and majority of the area is used for greenery. Everything is neat, clean and well maintained. The caretaker of the property, mr. Lionel is an extremely warm host and all the staff working under him is well trained as well. We booked a suite which had 2 very spacious bedrooms, with windows in both the rooms with a view of the garden, it also had a fire place which is very difficult to find these days. Food was hygienic, homelike, tasted good and was served really well. We had a pleasant stay here at saffron-stays milt-on abott.

Located just under 3 kms from Ooty bus stand. This old colonial bungalow has the benefit of both world old world charm with modern amenities and reasonably priced. The caretakers really take care of you with a good breakfast included in the price and meals on order made to your taste though it is a simple fare and the place is strictly non smoking and has just 4 rooms. Phone signals are difficult but they have basic wifi. Alvin the caretaker is ready to satisfy your every reasonable need. A good place to stay if you have your own vehicle and you are looking for peace and quiet away from the maddening world of the metro city.

I had the pleasure of staying at a delightful saffron homestay, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The warm hospitality of the hosts made me feel like a welcomed guest in their home. The cozy ambiance, coupled with tastefully decorated rooms, provided a comfortable and homely atmosphere. The attention to detail, from the well-prepared meals to the personalized recommendations for local attractions, showcased a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. If you're seeking a home away from home with a personal touch, this saffron homestay is a top-notch choice.

The stay was fantastic and people are awesome. Mohan - this gentlemen (who is the care taker of the property) makes you comfortable throughout the journey. Always ready to help and provide the stuff that is required for the guests. Have lot of patience. Highlight is food is so awesome and we really enjoyed the food. I definitely recommend other guests to try the food. Resort is very good and maintained neatly. As we travel-led with 2 small kids, mohan bought fruits from the market and gave it as a compliment. Overall i rate 9/10 and recommended this estate.

Excellent vintage property with nice ambiance for family holidays. Good food options and very friendly staff. kids will enjoy the stay playing with friendly dogs and kittens. on the cons side, mobile network and WiFi is very bad. if you want isolationist, then this works quite well. Resort should offer a bit more premium experience for the price like providing good quality toiletries and better pest control. Overall recommended place but if you are looking for a premium experience, there might be better options for the price.

We chose this place despite many other available options, mainly looking at the history of the bungalow. It was absolutely worth the visit. The staff was polite and engaging. The food was amazing. We also got the opportunity to try sri lankan food and we'd totally recommend it. It's a beautiful property with antique wooden interiors and a great ambience. The garden has a wide variety of colorful and beautiful flowers and plants that are truly mesmerizing. Had am amazing time and would definitely recommend!

Very friendly hosts and delicious and reasonably priced food. A beautiful garden in the front and woodlands at the back made for fantastic morning walks, the property is spread over 5 acres. The location is great as it is opposite a golf course and is the only SaffronStays Milton Abbott Estate on that street, while still being close to the bustle of Ooty's markets.
Great views of a large garden, almost floor to ceiling windows and unique heritage fixtures.

For all the admirers of colonial construction and architecture, this place is a paradise. 5 acres of lush green estate, planted with pear trees, flowers, garden plants, lawn and kitchen garden, old school brass fittings, chandeliers, teak furniture and glass studded windows. Service is great too, you will be pampered to every possible extent. Spend your money in the right place and you won't regret this.

The estate is very beautiful and located outside the hustle of ooty, the service provided by the manager (lionel) and the staff (uday) was splendid, food was very tasty, would like to visit again sometime soon.

The stay was amazing with very good hospitality. The view was superb and the travel to the cottage was very comfortable and approachable. Our checkout was extended by 3 hours of which they were very considerate. We the fire place in the night. Will surely come back again soon.

Excellent stay, not in the midst of City but just away enough to be peaceful, small but we'll maintained property, we were alone as a family hence had the freedom of the entire place. Good local management to take care of your stay.

Slightly secluded location providing much required silence. Greenery all Around the property and outside. Good caretaker, staff and chef, making an overall memorable stay.
