Sagar Raj Resort

I traveled to Karde beach at Dapoli on 1st and 2nd may. My stay at the Sagar Raj Resort was on 1st night. I had taken 2 rooms for my family that included my mother. The location of the Sagar Raj Resort is excellent, it is right on the beach with an excellent view of the sea from the balcony of the room. In fact all the rooms have sea view. My stay at the Sagar Raj Resort made more enjoyable and comfortable by the hospitality of Mr. Sachin who is manager at the site. He kind of made me feel at home. One of the rooms had a problem and on complaining Mr. Sachin quickly changed the room. All the staff working at the location are very polite. Next morning when we went to the beach in the morning, the kitchen staff waited for us for the breakfast (since it is until 10 am) and they winded it off only after we had taken sufficiently. The kitchen staff is also very professional. On improvement side, I would say that food quality could have been improved. The same curry base was used to prepare veg and non-veg food and my wife and kids who tasted both complained that the taste of all the items was almost similar. The butter chicken was red hot. The other point I would like to mention about the quality of the water at the beach. This is degrading day by day. This year I found that the water was containing a lot of sea algae and the color of the water has a brownish tinge. We decided to stay away from swimming just played a little in the sea. This is a very serious issue which requires a lot of attention from the local authorities otherwise the place would lose its charm.

The property has excellent location since it is bang on the beach. The beach itself is serene and less commercial. It does have the expected boat rides and the general fare one would expect on an Indian beach, but it is pristine clean and relatively free from crowd. The property has good parking space, reception was quick and we were impressed when the housekeeping arranged for an extra mattress even without us requesting it. They saw we have come with 2 kids and immediately sent a mattress and handed us 3 breakfast coupons. The room was spacious with a huge balcony. The TV was functional with the required cartoon channels to keep the kids occupied when they were not on the beach. In room dining is limited and one has to inform in advance for lunch and breakfast. The positive point about this is that everything you eat is fresh and right out of the pan. The food was homemade, healthy and of right portions. Tea served in room was excellent. Breakfast was local affair and was tasty as well. The dolphin sighting was available early morning just off the beach with a boat. We sighted the dolphins in less than 10 mins, as soon as the boat crossed over the waves. Overall the stay was great and we would recommend. Alert : The bathrooms may not be as sparkling due to the frequent tourists getting in the beach sand. But its manageable for a short stay.

Firstly, I would like to tell that me & my wife were on bike road trip to full coastal konkan till Tarkarli. We checked in at Sagar Raj Beach Resort on 17th March 2017 and the location is just beside the beautiful Karde beach. 1) The Manager at reception is very helpful and guided us to the top floor sea view room which was the best thing. 2) We were greeted very well with konkan special kokam sharbat on arrival. 3) The sea view room on 2nd floor are best and room was clean along with small freezer. 4) The meal is provided within the given timings only so if you arrive early or late then you will have to make the meal arrangements by yourself or you have to wait for their meal timings. 5) Food quality is nice & tasty. Starters are very tasty. 6) Staff is very supportive & helpful. They take care of each and every need of the traveler's. 7) Resort arranges Karaoke at evening which is very enjoying. You can try your singing skills. 8) As we left early around 6. 30 am in the morning, we were provided with coffee and Bread jam which was really nice thing. 9) Overall experience at Sagar Raj Beach Resort was really very nice and its totally value for money. I will surely recommend and visit at Sagar Raj Beach Resort next time with my family for sure.

No doubt, the location of Sagar Raj Resort is just few steps away from beach. Rooms are totally same as the pics displayed on site. When we reached there, we had quick check-in with a welcome drink and complimentary water bottles. Rooms are big with huge balconies and clean washrooms. Service was quick and very cooperative. You will get all toiletries in the room itself. You can get food ordered inside room. They have dining area as well not too big but still comfortable. They also have small huts in garden area where you can sit and enjoy. Covered parking. We enjoyed rain dance a lot with good songs that will make you dance taang uthake. :) Only worst part was ants mosquitoes in high volume after sunset... That was really disappointing. We have to keep room lights very dim to avoid them entering our room. Still we had good sleep as we kept our room properly closed from inside. Also, there is no kitchen service available after 9PM. The breakfast was intelligently designed, I had a look on their kitchen as well and to my surprise it was really very well-maintained and looked very clean. Thanks to the management and please do something for insects. Mosquitoes!!

The best thing about this resort is its location. It stands right across the beach, so getting to the beach is really easy. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The restaurant serves decent food. I would have liked more options in the B/F buffet. The only thing lacking was activities in the resort. They currently have one carrom board, one chess board, a play area for kids and a rain dance floor. They should include more activities like Table Tennis, Badminton court, etc. To engage guests. For the benefit of those Reading this and planning a trip to Dapoli - Karde beach is not the cleanest one around (the sand on the beach is mixed with oil spil that had taken place a few years ago). Here's the list of beaches from best to worst:. Disclaimer: I found this list of recommendations online, however we did happen to go to Anjarle and Harnai beach and feel they were much cleaner.

I visited this place 4 times in 2 years.. Though clean and uncrowded beach of Karde attracts me, sagar raj Sagar Raj Resort adds comfort and pleasant stay experience. Its always a fun atmosphere here. You get to delight your tongue, if you are sea food addict. All rooms of the resort are sea facing so no worry which room you wish to book. Also have some rain dance with your friends and family with the rocking regional music. Overall its a must visit place and must stay resort. If you plan for a two days trip there are many beautiful places to visit within 30-40km distance like keshavraj temple, Kadyavarcha ganpati, suvarnagadde fort, harnai beach, panhalekaji, unhavare etc. Thank you guys for making one more memorable picnic. This resort is a little on the expensive side compared to the other resorts nearby. Rooms are comfortable and many facilities are available which are mostly not available at the other resorts at this beach (like 24 hrs hot water, complimentary breakfast). You have AC and dth TV, but there are frequent power cuts out there, which can sometimes last for hours (if you are out of luck). Not as many options in food as you would expect. If you are not going there in peak season when the resort is at least half full, you would need to tell them in advance what all you need in seafood (they usually only have chicken, surmai and pomfret on hand in non-veg). Staff is polite and helpful.

The Sagar Raj Resort has excellent location, right on the beach. It is good clean budget Sagar Raj Resort, do not expect great luxury though. The food is ok but seems overpriced for the taste and quality, however there is nothing close by so you really do not have a choice. The Sagar Raj Resort is bit difficult to find, so it might help if you call the Sagar Raj Resort when you enter Dapoli. Since this Sagar Raj Resort is technically on Karde beach and not in Dapoli, reaching there would be pain if you do not have your own vehicle.

Had a very good experience. Well mannered staff. Good food and Located on beach with great view from Room. 1. Rooms were very clean 2. Excellent Breakfast. 3. As location was near beach had a wonderful view every morning and evening. 4. Is accessible as it is close to road.

During weekday, it was only us in the resort and on the beach, so was looking like a private personal resort and Beach. Enjoyed the stay and had good fun. Drive from Mumbai is a bit hectic and on return did a detour and enjoyed the scenic Konkan beauty.

The location is very good. The sea beach is very neat and clean. Awesome stay at this location. You can view the sea from the balcony. Food is also very good. Very well mannered staff. Value for money.

Loved the proximity of the Hotel to the beach. View is amazing and beach is just walking distance of one minute from the Sagar Raj Resort. Food is amazing. Service is also good, however, for a limited time. All in all a good stay.

Hotel is exactly opposite to the beach. Hotel staff is so kind and supportive. Problems with the electricity but overall good experience.

Hotel good but food quality is really pathetic, need to improve on service and food content. They have so much space which can be utilized for tourist engagement. Chef really needs training for better food quality and menu. Rooms are spacious and balcony very big and scenic. No issues with rooms.

Beautiful beach view from the balcony of 2nd floor rooms, beach is very accessible like just in front of the resort. Room was clean, Food quality is good, staff are good, only hitch is card is not acceptable. Need guidance for surrounding places to visit, more games for child in the Sagar Raj Resort like carom board, table tennis.

Great experience, Room is very clean. Location is very beautiful, Excellent sea view from Balcony. WiFi service is good. All staff is excellent. My all family members enjoyed very well at Sagar Raj Resort and beach.

This Sagar Raj Resort is right across beach, staff behavior is very good, food is average. There is not much to do inside except for game room.

Most important is, location is perfect as karde beach is just in front of Sagar Raj Resort and all room are see side view and you can relish the sea from balcony itself. Hotel is surrounded by hill range and see. We booked deluxe AC room and they are very clean and well maintain. Hotel staff was good and cooperative in providing services. We had complimentary breakfast and it was good.

Hotel is good, location is awesome, but I think food is a bit over priced. If they provide tea and coffee making facilities it would be fantastic. Overall loved the place and Sagar Raj Resort too. Will definitely recommend.
