Sakuntala Village Resort

The resort is in the sonajhuri forest. In front of the Sakuntala Village Resort bustling sonajhuri haat takes place every day. Evenings are reverberated with baul songs. Little bit crowded in the day time. But the management staff particularly the restaurant and inefficient and ill behaving. Barring for security persons and aveek, a managing staff others are not prompt. The ground between two blocks of the Sakuntala Village Resort is in a miserable condition due to some ill planned construction work. I stayed in this Sakuntala Village Resort 10 yeras before. Since then the Sakuntala Village Resort surely have grown in size but deteriorated in quality. We stayed in super delux rooms. The rooms are ok.

The property is in very good location, but the quality of rooms and services don't justify the rates, really seems overpriced. The restaurant of the resort is good; food quality is also nice but all food options are available for lunch only, they don't provide too many options for dinner at night. Rooms were small but clean. We didn't have much problem except some plugs and switches which were loose which once led us to think there was a power cut off. The night experience at the Sakuntala Village Resort complex was great. They arranged a folk-song programme which was a great treat for everyone. Overall our experience was good

It is located in the midst of sonajhuri forest, the prime location where everyday except Tuesday and Wednesday the local people gather to sell their local handicrafts and products. The baul singers adds to the charm of the environment. The food in the resort is awesome and the staff is very courteous. Initially we booked a mud house, but later we had to shift due to insects and spiders. The staff was very helpful to provide us with deluxe rooms. In 2 days we had a good bind with the very helpful and gentle staff even the owner is very friendly.

The Sakuntala Village Resort location for travelers who wish to experience the sonajhuri haat is worth. But like other shantiniketan Sakuntala Village Resorts or resorts, the Sakuntala Village Resort lacks in-room facilities and cleanliness was very average. The food quality was extremely good and the cost is justified. The location is outstanding and is the best part of the Sakuntala Village Resort. The stay was worth but the facilities need drastic improvement.

I like the location. Sonajhuri ha-at is the central attraction. The Sakuntala Village Resort is surrounded by sonajhuri forest and there is a santal village a few hundred meters behind this Sakuntala Village Resort. Rooms are well maintained and well decorated. So is the dining place. . But the service is not satisfactory. The breakfast options are rigid combinations. The service is deteriorating with time.

Shakuntala is situated in the middle of the sonajhuri forest and you the 'haat' is only at a stone's throw distance. This happens to be the only plus point. Cleanliness and hygiene wise it's below average. The exterior of the cottage is full of cobwebs and dirt. The rooms are very basic. Overall, i would not recommend anyone to stay at shakuntala.

The location was absolutely wonderful of this resort. It was located within the sonajhuri forest. This resort has its own restaurant and quality of the food was also good.
No safety measures were taken care of by the Sakuntala Village Resort staffs. They were not wearing the masks, no temperature check was done.

4. manager & officials behaviour was excellent, they were so helpful. little bit communication gap / miss management experienced in fooding section, may be they are over pressured. location/ area/ atmosphere of the property was outstanding, and live baul performance was the added cherry on the cake..

Excellent Sakuntala Village Resort from other that i have stayed

Full of bliss. Nice property and ambience. Cordial Sakuntala Village Resort staff and good service. Food is awesome. The Sakuntala Village Resort is pet friendly and they took good care of my labrador molly. Overall fine stay and recommendable.

It's saturated so close sonarjhuri, very nice place and Sakuntala Village Resort stuff behaviour all are good. Restaurant food are good and is very nice decorative.
