Had an amazing time with a warm, welcoming and friendly host. The place is cozy, peaceful within the nature. Provided with everything we could need as a traveler.

The place is filled with trees, secluded from the city noise, peaceful. you can chill out in the room or in the open space. The staff are very cooperative and helpful. I traveled with my family including my 3 dogs. They enjoyed it a lot as well. They provide only breakfast if you have taken complementary BF with your stay. But zomato or Swiggy works there. Hence you can order from outside. The main city of pondicherry is like 30 mins from this place which makes it easier to go and come back anytime. If you have a big dog, like in my case I have a German shepherd, please book the ground floor rooms. I actually got a second floor room which has 2 main issues with big dogs: 1. The stairs to the upper floors are spiral stairs. so it may be an issue to climb it with dogs 2. the first step to this spiral stairs is located on a very small shallow water body on which a big stone is kept and then the stairs start. so I found it a bit risky. but if you have a medium or a small pet then it won't be an issue. The rest of the things are good and I found it quite charming.

My partner and i had an excellent experience at Samantha guest house, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they even worked out a really good price for us and upgraded our room free of cost. The rooms were simple and cute, but also really nice and clean. Overall a great experience, would totally stay with them again.

It was horrible experience, first of all it is not inside auroville. It has no road route for car to reach , it is not a building they made it steel structure with covered walls using bricks, when someone walking on first floor you can't sleep in ground floor. No proper hangers or basic needs to keep luggage and undress hangers. No heaters , it is located under jungle like environment you have to be careful when you go there, safety wise very much scary no security is available. Finally very unhappy stay with family.

I think this is my sixth stay here in the span of just six months. From the very first visit, I developed a deep liking for the place, the stay, and especially the warmth of the people who run this property. When night falls and the property lights up, it creates a truly mesmerizing atmosphere. There's Mr. Prithvi, the owner; Ms. Babita, the office manager; and Mr. Mahesh Singh, the caretaker – all absolute gems. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and ensure your stay is memorable. And then there's the bonfire on the terrace, where you meet fellow guests for a friendly chat – it’s such a heartwarming experience. I also realized how challenging it is to run a hostel. Once, a foreign guest with an expired visa tried to sneak in. When denied entry, he created a scene and even looked like he might get violent. But Prithvi remained calm and composed throughout the incident. Despite these challenges, they all wear a smile and continue doing their best to make every guest feel at home. Yes, I’ll definitely keep coming back whenever I pass through Pondicherry.

I came here as a solo traveler, but I am glad that I made good friends here. From feeling lonely searching to sharing drinks with friends that I made here, I have grown within this compound. Special mention for the amazing (lora and kala namak). Cheers to prithvi and babitha for maintaining the warmth and vibe of the place and also for all the help they offered me whenever I needed. Since auroville and irumbai closeby, there’s a lot to explore around here despite being a offbeat stay. Surrounded by greenery on all sides, samantha international definitely has a balance between being offbeat and also surrounded by happening places all around.

The room rent is not worth the amenities provided. Staff are courteous. Should have tried other hotels. Paid for two days and it was a waste.

This place is truly a blessing no city crowds, calm and quiet, yet full of fun and events. It’s just a 15-minute drive from the main city. The property is clean and well-maintained, the staff are always helpful, and Babitha is the best host I’ve ever met
