We had an excellent stay in the budget room of Santa Maria. The room was clean and comfortable with the shared toilet just next door so didn't feel far at all. We also did the sunrise boat tour which was a truly memorable experience of our whole trip in India. We had the honour of meeting host Rajat, who was wonderful, joyful, warm company. He certainly became a real good friend and I feel we learnt so much from him about India culture and the community even in such a short time of staying. Thank you Rajat! See you soon I’m sure.

The place is peaceful and right on the banks of backwaters. very calm and crowd free for a pleasant boating experience. A diverse crowd from several countries make this hostel a good place to vibe and socialize. would really want to come back to this place sometime soon...🙃

The hostel is made right beside the backwaters. You can literally get out of your room take 2 steps and jump into the back waters. Its literally the best place to stay if you wanna have a chilled out time lying on one of the hammocks by the waterside!!

I travelled with my friend on a backpacking trip to Kerala and munroe Island was our first stop. We were pretty late and hence anxious but our host (Nigel) was a total sweetheart. He welcomed us and made us feel at ease. The rooms were fine, I guess. But the atmosphere around the property was to die for. Please do try if you’re staying at the Island. 😊

The room was too hot. Because the fan speed is too low. No attached bathroom, no proper room arrangement also
