Sarangi Homestay

Poor location... You have to reach their homestay on foot, by walking many steps. For food, one has to depend on them, and that also one has to order them 4 hours before. No good food place nearby.

Family behaviour is very polite. Once you arrive there they helped in all arrangements.

bad smell from the washroom,extra charges on sight seeing, provided a cab which asked for extra charges.

I had a delightful stay at Sarangi Homestay, a serene retreat nestled in the heart of Darjeeling. Great experience 😀 the homestay owner is very friendly and kind hearted... If you don't make a plan of your tour the owner will guide you properly in very low price you can explore all the points.. overall we enjoyed our stay.. next time gonna stay here again for sure 😍 ❤️🧿

Excellent hospitality and the room is neat and clean. Owner are very nice and gentle people and very much cooperative. Again come and stay only sarangi homestay onlt

Positives - 1. Behavior of all family is nice. 2. The main attraction of the house is the balcony view but it is common for both of the rooms. Negatives - 1. Location of the house is downside of the city even you just can't find yourself the home address. Front side of the house is average and the balcony is at the backside of the house. You should mind that the photos of the kanchanjangha view is not clicked at the balcony. The view of the balcony is only tea garden. If you are thinking that you can walk for sightseeing of mall road from this homestay you should mind that even if it is 1. 5 km far but it located on very high side of the city you have to walk 1. 5 km upside. 2. If you are pure vegetarian then you should not book this homestay because they don't cook veg and non veg in separate utensils. 3. Be aware just don't book the cab for sightseeing of darjling without inquiry at chowrasta taxi stand. I made this mistake because i booked it on phone before reaching the homestay. The main owner is do the cab driver work in his personal car. Japanese temple peace pagoda, ghoom monastery, batasia loop, tea garden. 4. House keeping - (a) they didn't cleaned the room for one time as we have 3 nights booking. (b) first morning i was calling riyad from 07. 30 am to 08. 18 am for tea but he didn't picked up my call then i had to called his brother for that. Second night owner asked me for hot water for night and i said send bottle to room but bottle never reached at room. Tips for you darjling trip 1. Don't believe anyone always inquire 4 to 5 people. 2. If you are north indian pure vegetarian and low of money then you must go to marwari bhojnalaya at chorasta and if you can afford then you can go hasty tasty at mall road if you have extra money you can go lunar hotel 5 star. Don't go for lunch near batasia loop misty mountains pure veg they have very low ambiance but prices of the food is equal 5 star food and food quality is also not well. 3. Always book homestay or hotel nearby chaurasta or mall road.

The view was nice and the behaviour of the host was also good, only prblm was the flush for the commode which was taking too much time to refill

Amazing place with warm hospitality. Hosts were so caring and eager to help in everything. Being a solo traveller, this place felt like home. Highly recommended for everyone.

Too far from mall and chowrasta.

The room was not cleaned daily, the food served was pathetic. Expensive and very bad in taste, charging like restaurants but serving jail like food, unable to swallow, please opt for a hotel instead.

Rooms were good, host was also very nice person. The only problem we faced-is the gueyser, hot water was not coming atall. Food was good, atmosphere was homely. Over all good stay.

Room and view was good, but seems like the people were new to this homestay business. When we reached, there was no lunch made, tea was served without biscuit unless we said to give biscuits, dustbin and room was never cleaned throughout our stay. Food was not very good. People were somewhat good, but they seemed not so happy to make food for us.

This place got some amazing scenic view of the hills, with proper hygienic rooms, beautiful service and pretty balcony

The hospitality was nice and the homely cooked food was very good. View from the balcony was amazing. Room was neat and clean and all expected amenities were present. The hosts were very helpful. They also offered tour programs via car at competitive price. Overall great experience.
