My sister and i visited for attending annamalai university dude exams. When we reached it was exactly the same as described, all amenities for a comfortable home like stay is available, we did cook at times and only vegetarian food is allowed. Zomato also works within 20-30 mins from good Senthil Akam Homestay | Rooms & Kitchens around and tasty food in case no cooking. We took a 2bedroom and 2bath with kitchen room since we booked in a rush. It was very spacious for the two of us. Poonkundran uncle was very kind and caring, answered all doubts and assured the safety of our stay. Meenakshi aunt y such a beautiful and brilliant lady to have conversation with. They are like family now. The house helps mathiyas anna, bhagyalakshmi akka, anbukarasi akka were all very polite and genuinely caring. They ensured all our needs are met at any time. Property is under cctv surveillance and gates kept locked assuring all safety. We felt at home and with some good people. We did respect the house rules and everything was perfect. This place is so close to the temple that one can walk within 5-10 mins easily. Early morning vibes here are very divine from even within the rooms and you can feel that you are in such close proximity with the natarajar at all times. We had the chance to visit early morning and late night pooja. We walked home back close to midnight after seeing the last of the pooja and found the streets very safe and people around also very well behaved. There might have been 1-2 who might have intimidated us slightly but throughout our stay of 8 days we felt very safe. Request people to respect the house rules and keep the property clean as you would care for your house and maintain decorum and cleanliness in and around temple as well. They also have a gold silver shop in the premises do give it a visit to get some quality items. When we visit again we will ensure our family and friends get to stay and experience the vibes here.

Homestay Senthil Akam, Chidambaram Home stay this a homestay and very awesome experience here during the stay. They have well equipped clean rooms with hot water, AC, TV. Hot water is available 24 hours. The rooms are spacious. Staying is worth here. There is no elevator facility and all rooms are available in 1st floor, 2nd floor. You have attached kitchen, Gas plus stove, refrigerator housing milk, vegetables, etc. We prepared our own tea/coffee/milk etc and got refreshed. It gives you homely feeling. Parking again it is not a sheltered parking. Vehicle needs to be parked outside the house. Staff the owner was very cooperative and friendly. Our vehicle ran out of engine oil and he helped us to get it from a shop at discounted price. Food the Senthil Akam Homestay | Rooms & Kitchens for breakfast/lunch/dinner are located within 1 km of this house. But the owner also informed us that breakfast/lunch/dinner can be arranged by him upon request. Location: the Senthil Akam Homestay | Rooms & Kitchen is located within the city. Vicinity the famous Natraja Temple is situated 500 m from this homestay. Overall rating 5/5.

This place is good for a quick refresh or max 1 night stay. The best part about this place is the close proximity to the south entrance of the temple which is 5mins by walk. Cleanliness is very good. There is also a full fledged pantry to reheat food & make tea/coffee. They do have milk packets available in refrigerator. However the bed is the worst. It's a worn out spring mattress which caves in when you sleep. After a long day of driving, this bed gives unnecessary discomfort with bad sleep. Next discomfort is with 8-10 nos of 3x6 posters of tamil poems. While i appreciate the owner's enthusiasm with tamil literature, it's overzealous to force it upon guests' bedrooms which should be ambient for relaxing. The caretaker/host was very friendly and informative.

This place is very near to temple and the host is very pleasant and warm person. We booked a 2 bed which can accommodate 4 people and we were given a house literally. We had medium sized 2 bed rooms fitted with ac and had a fridge, gas stove for cooking too. The fridge had milk, tea coffee etc which makes it great tonusve some coffee or tea after the visit to temple. The road is pretty traffic free with spaces to park on the shoulders of the road. Has 2 toilets too. It's is the place to stay if you want a house and not a small claustrophobic rooms. Overall a great stay if you want to stay at homely place sans luxury. Highly recommended

Loved my stay at homestay senthil at chidambaram. Lovely host, you get a homely feeling and vibe when you enter the property. Sir and ma'am are very polite and humble. Peaceful locality, yet very feasible to nataraja temple and bus stop. Being a vegetarian, the owners suggested me a simple, nice and tasty pure veg restaurant nearby called sri krishna violas for having my lunch and dinner. There is also an adyar anand bhavan joint at walking distance. You also get rickshaws easily to go to pichavaram. Overall highly recommend this place to anyone travel-ling to chidambaram for 1 night or 2 nights stay.

The owners lives downstairs, are retired professors and a couple, and have very thoughtfully done up the rooms to service pilgrims at Chidambaram. Mr. Poonkundran was an extremely pleasant host, was forthcoming with loads of tips about the temples and timings, as also wonderful food joints. He had taken extra care to stock milk, tea, and coffee powder so as to ease the hassle of finding the same when needed. In all, a very pleasant stay. We were a family of 5 (including 2 kids aged 14 and 9).

The homestay was very clean, secure and well suited for families. Location was very calm and walkable to the temple. It had a refrigerator, water kettle, gas connection, basic utensils along with milk, coffee/tea powder, etc. Car parking can be done in front of the homestay and a separate place for drivers to sleep in the terrace. The owner was very kind and a nice person. He had already switched on the ac before we arrived. Overall it was a pleasant stay and highly recommended for families.

We stayed here (family) for two days and the place is an excellent bet in Chidambaram. Very safe and very close to the temple. The owner is very helpful and a gentleman. We were provided with milk and other ingredients to prepare tea/coffee etc. The room quite big and well furnished and it felt like home with all details attended to. Best place to be in while in Chidambaram. Can be called a home away from home literally. Thank you for all the help and courtesy extended!

We were overwhelmed by the hospitality. Arrangements are excellent. The reception was very warm even though we reached the place at 11 pm.

home stay is good and rooms also good and security 👍 and only problem is car parking but finally he arranged overall fully satisfied 😌

The home stay is situated at a distance of 200 mts from the nataraja swamy temple, very convenient for visitors. Everything is kept very clean and a functioning kitchen is provided where you can make tea/coffee.

Nice well kept room and kitchen with facilities for tea and coffee and also washing machine available. Breakfast, lunch & dinner, you can have from Senthil Akam Homestay | Rooms & Kitchens within walking distance. Walking distance to the Natarajan temple and near to the station. We stayed for 1 day. The owner was very polite and ready to help. We enjoyed our short stay there. Surely recommend this place to stay.
