Serene Homestay

It's gonna be a long review going by the awful n pathetic experience we had during our stay. Let's start with the very few good things abt th whole stay : 1 - the view from balcony during th rain was beautiful. 2 - they had a massive tv in th bedroom, which worked as well. 3 - free worked atleast , which was good. Finally, the breakfast was decent though not great as I had clearly mentioned that we needed 1 veg n 1 non veg breakfast & the lady in charge still gave eggs in both th plates 🤦 Now, th actual review starts. 1st things 1st, DO NOT GO BY WHAT U SEE IN THE PHOTOS OF BOOKING GOOGLE. I tried to contact th owners 1-2 days prior to check in date to check few things but nobody bothered to pick up th call till th date of booking. There was no AC in th room whereas th details abt th property clearly mentions it's AC. Not even a ceiling fan as well, just a silly pedestal fan 🤣 When we confronted th lady in charge Aarti, she said that particular room dint hv ac & all other rooms are occupied so we need to adjust. She cudnt even provide an extra pedestal fan when requested. She even came up a genius solution - keep th doors of th bedroom open so that coolness from th AC that was living room can reach inside our bedroom. Like seriously !! Then there was this horrible issue of power cuts. There were power cuts for atleast 25-30 times & on 3 occasions it was almost an hour. Th backup that u see in property details only works for few mins, that's it. Thank God it was raining in th evening n night, hence th hear factor was less. Else we all can imagine how th situation when ur stuck in closed room with no AC, no ceiling fan, only a pedestal fan & constant power cuts every 30-40 mins. It was literally irritating. Kitchen n refrigerator was shared & was used by other occupants in th same flat as well, hence don't expect tht ull be only one using it. The room wasn't clean, the bedsheet n pillow were just abt ok. It was a complete case of misinformation, incomplete and inaccurate information. Th owners are there just to take ur money. This is what they are doing. Th lady had zero regrets about being unable to provide an actual room or unable to give an extra fan. On top of that, th funniest part happened in th during our checkout. She actually went ahead n asked if we were comfortable & slept well at night or not. I dint even know whether to laugh at her question or get angry at her & get into an argument, hence I just responded by stating that we managed 🤣 We dint even bother to either check/enquire abt th rest of th glorified facilities mentioned in property details as I was pretty sure some of them wud be either shared or non existent or in terrible condition. Since it was a stay of just 1 night, hence me n my friend decided not to argue abt this garbage experience with th lady & checked out much earlier than th time mentioned. FYI, this is not a standalone property. It's in an apartment complex, where ull be in a flat where they are just renting out rooms in th name of homestay. Most of things will be common except whatever little or nothing u get in ur own room. & pray that u get a room with an AC & not a pedestal fan room 😂 Oh yes, u may hv couple of good-looking cockroaches as ur roommates, so good luck on that as well. So, please make proper enquiries before booking this place, so that you all don't hv to go thru awful experience that we went through.

Has a lot of potential, good and comfortable stay. Serene as it says. Very kind house owner, was available at anytime through text or call. Pretty balcony garden filled with plants.
