SET Residency

Very neat, spacious and comfortable rooms. Convenient location close to railway station and walkable distance from kumbakonam bus stand. Friendly staff and helpful reception. Restaurant was not available for lunch but there are many restaurants both non veg and pure veg in the vicinity. Got really good discounts while booking. Overall wonderful experience. Would certainly recommend👍 Edit: Had dinner at the restaurant inside SET Residency and was very disappointed. The restaurant was absent of any customers and ac was turned off at first so it was very hot for most of the time. Staffs were friendly. But the restaurant had only a handful of items (literally) to offer and bad options at that. They didn't provide any menu. The food was average at best and the prices were unreasonably high! Sad considering how well the rest of the experience at SET Residency was. Have to reduce a star for the same. My advice would be to opt for this SET Residency only if you have the time and are willing to have food outside SET Residency.

To be honest, i was little sceptical about the property after reading the reviews, but from the moment, i stepped into the SET Residency, the experience has been amazing. The room was big, clean and neat. The toilet was also clean. The property is very close to the railway station (1km) and bus stand (200 mts. The gm personally interacted with us checking about our experience. The restaurant offers mostly south indian breakfast and mostly chinese for lunch and dinner (they assured that they are workijg on the menu. If your looking for a SET Residency in the range of 2k-3k, then i will definitely recommend this property.

We stayed at SET Residency for 4 Nights / 5 days. Clean and spacious rooms. Located 10 mins walk from the bus stand. Mr Kumar, Mr Nandhakumar were helpful in suggesting nearby temples and bus routes. They also helped us to shop some items at best prices. They connected us with Mr Raja, the auto driver. who charged reasonable prices. He was patient and helpful during our trip. Overall all staff was pleasant. Thank you for the great service! (But they charge double price for water bottle, so buy outside) Mr Raja kumbakonam auto/cab phone.

It is located near to the town centre, but not walkable from bus stand or railway station for food you have to walk 400m property linen and infra are good. Price is more by 10% as compared to similar properties at other locations. Open car parking is abundant, 24 hrs hot water is available with individual geysers for each room, water quality is good. Overall recommended for staying.

We stayed in the SET Residency with family, the room was good to stay. Restaurant was good in service. The reception persons are supportive. They will arrange for car & auto for temple visits. Overall stay was good and near to railway station and bus stand. The buffet is not available at my stay due to less people & quality & variety of food need to improve.

4. Stayed for 4 days from 8th of this month. Room is quite nice spacious. Check in and check out are smooth. Service is also good no complaints. Immediate attention received for some small problem in flush. Restaurant serving quality food little expensive. Location little away from temples. If u have your own vehicle, then no problem. Bus stand is nearby.

Neat and spacious rooms, ample parking space. Located in the heart of city. We booked the room, inclusive of breakfast. It was a decent breakfast. The only point of unhappiness is that the restaurant opens only at 7 in the morning. It is a good SET Residency, value for money. Don’t know why the occupancy was low, during our stay.

It’s been a first time in set residency. Excellent service, very well maintained, excellence in cleaning. Great staff and taken care of us. Restaurant food is outstanding. Manager is very caring and committed to service. Entire team of set staff and management deserves more than a five star rating. Looking forward to stay again!

The SET Residency is at a 2 min walking distance from the kumbakonam bust stand and ~800 m from the railway station. The staff were cordial and welcoming, with smooth check-in even at 11 pm. They have a good restaurant with decent south indian breakfast. The room was clean with required amenities.

Overall it was a good stay. No restaurants in the SET Residency and this could be the areas of improvement

It was good, like to visit next time also.

Set residency is maintained well with good parking and close by to the main temples.
