Shalom Backpackers Rishikesh | Rooms & Dorms

Staff and service was awesome, location was good, but infra of property was way bad than expected, there was a very small common area with no indoor games, 4 bed dorm was very small and not maintained at all

I recently stayed at Shalom Hostels in Rishikesh for three nights, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The property is located in a truly beautiful spot, offering stunning views of the Ganges right from the balcony and terrace — the perfect place to relax and soak in the serene atmosphere of Rishikesh. Having previously stayed with the Shalom team in Dharamkot, I already had high expectations, and once again, they exceeded them with their warm hospitality and welcoming vibe. The staff here are super friendly, always ready to help. Special shoutout to Gaurav, who was hosting us during our stay. He went above and beyond to make our experience comfortable and memorable — always approachable, kind, and full of positive energy. If you’re visiting Rishikesh and looking for a place that combines comfort, great views, and a chance to connect with new people and cultures this is the perfect choice.

Stay at Shalom was incredible. Gaurav, the host knows in and out about the town. Friendly guy helps out in all queries, be it hostel specific or the town. Shalom stay itself was a very spontaneous and unique experience for me. Great place to strike conversations with fellow solo traveller. Hundred percent recommended.

Honest reception divesh negi i have forgot my purse in hotel and went to railway station but divesh return my purse with all money and card inside my purse Such a genuine person And they also arrange urgent stay in their hotel when I reach one day before checkin Their cafe is awesome view of ganga and beautiful infrastructure and delicious yummy food I will give 5 on 5 star I come back gain to shalom backpacker Outstanding staff when I need them help Very cordinative and understanding And recommend all of them And they also arrange scooty for me at reasonable rate Very affordable and luxury comfort and environment very neat and clean

Had a great stay at Shalom Rishikesh. The vibe of the place is really peaceful and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was tasty and freshly prepared. Special thanks to Gaurav at reception — very polite and helpful. He made the check-in and stay experience smooth and welcoming.

budget friendly best hostel , You can do multiple activities here , staff is good

Property is good for travellers with minimal expectations of stay... But those who are used to plush hotels should not roam around these kind of setups. Service persons and desk works well and very cooperative and food is also good. But rooms and in general infrastructure may not be comfortable. I won't call it shabby but can't call it crispy and clean too. I booked it as my situation needed the exact place to be stayed on.

This was a horrible experience. The place is very poorly maintained, and the staff have no etiquette or professionalism in dealing with customers. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
