Shammi Hostel

Amazing food and services. Pint u bhaiya is very cooperative. The ambience is beautiful. The room and washroom is well maintained and hygienic. Comfortable space. Would advice everyone to stay here and experience the services they provide. It is the perfect location for a staycation. The wifi works at a high speed and there are no network issues during long calls. The staff also maintains a peaceful environment for you to focus on your work. A must stay if you come to mcleodganj. It near the bhagsunag temple and waterfall and a lot of great cafe's are situated nearby. There is a local market walking distance from here where you can get almost everything. I stayed at the lava-ca hostel for 4 days and had a wonderful experience. The staff here maintains high level of security. The area around the hostel is also very clean and peaceful. The wifi also supports high speed downloads and long calls. The rooms are very clean and all the required facilties are available there. The food made by the chef here is delicious as well as soothing to the gut. Overall a very good place to stay for short and long term.

We stayed 2 days at La Vaca but had different rooms both the days. The best part about our trip was there was hardly anyone in the Shammi Hostel so even the rooms were empty and we got it all by ourselves. We stayed at the 6 bed mixed dorm and it was spacious. Liked the wall decor and loved the view. It was on the 3rd floor so had to walk little (with my painful legs because I did a trek right the previous day 😛) but it was a super pleasing experience. Must visit and highly recommended hostel. Food and chai was delicious.

I loved the room, view, cleanliness, great hot water heater, everything. All other hostels are next to each other so that was the best thing. It was a little away from the bhagau or mcleodganj market but i'm glad there were some great restaurant options close by. Food and tea were delicious. Staff was polite and helpful

It was a perfect place to stay in mcleodganj. The view from balcony was mesmerising. The common room was very beautiful. The rooms were spacious and the staff was so cooperative that they arranged triund trek for us and also even after checkout we were allowed to use the common room, geyser etc.

Food was simple and good. Dining area is also very good and cozy; has board/card games and books in it.
The hostel is situated near where the triund trek starts. The guide was very good. Also the tariffs are quite economical for both bunker rooms and private rooms

Best hostel at Dharamshala. The location of the hostel was calm and quiet. Facilities, cleanliness, and security were excellent. The service was very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I had a delicious dinner also. Must recommend this property to others.

It was a nice experience staying at Dharamshala. The comfortable property ambiance and convenient location. The hospitality and management were up to the mark. The room was so spacious and comfortable. The property is suitable for visitors.

The hostel is very colorful with lights and graffiti on walls. Ginger tea that they served was really amazing. Pramod was very accommodating and also kept our bags safe while we went for trekking overnight.
