Shervani Hilltop

Shervani is located a bit far away from the crowded Mall Road but that is probably a good thing as you can enjoy the cool weather of the mountains at the Shervani Hilltop and visit the touristy places at your pace by getting a shuttle provided by Shervani Hilltop till the start of Mall Road. Staff at the Shervani Hilltop makes every possible effort to make your stay comfortable. We stayed in one of the suite rooms which are quite spacious with 2 rooms with 2 TVs, so if you have kids, consider taking this room. We did ask them to upgrade to hill view suite which they happily did. It had beautiful views but it could become noisy due to the tin roof, so we shifted back to the quieter suite without the view. Property is literally on a Hilltop and you would really enjoy the scenery from various open and green spaces in the Shervani Hilltop. Hotel has several activities to keep kids engaged with a dedicated kids room for indoor games (game consoles are bit old but other stuff TT, air hockey, chess, carrom etc. is good). They have outdoor activities also yoga, basket/volleyball, and swings, slides and a lawn for kids free play. There is live activity like magic show (one of the best), Tambola, puppet show and live singer everyday who belts out melodious Hindi numbers to jazz up your evenings. Coming to the food, one of the high points for breakfast is the live stall for local delicacies like Cheela, bun ticks, dahi jalebi. Other breakfast is usually standard fare, nothing spectacular. We had dinner included in our package. Its also recommended as you wouldn't find it easy to be coming back late into the property. Dinner was a lavish fare with local delicacies, live counter and lot of variety. The food was full of flavor and experience is elevated by the chef and excellent service by the restaurant staff. Special mention for Mr. Bisht, Saurabh and lady at reception, the chef Mr Singh, his team and staff at restaurant as well as proactive housekeeping staff (Lalit). They take very good care of you and your family during the stay.

I planned this family vacation for 2 nights at Shervani resort based on photographs and previous reviews. Shervani resort lived up to all expectations. Early check-in request was honored and we were given two amazing rooms with an awesome garden/mountain view. This resort is located on a hilltop, 1.5 km from city center but the Shervani Hilltop provides for a free shuttle service till 7:30 pm. So we didn't need to worry about the commute. Beyond 7:30 pm, you need to arrange for your own commute. Don't even think about walking to/from city center. We opted for both breakfast and dinner at the resort. Both meals had decent variety and good taste. The service at meals was just awesome with the manager even offering to customize dishes as per our taste. Live music was a nice addition. Activity room was a great. I spent hours playing air hockey and foosball with my family there. The staff at activity room (like other places) was awesome. Another good part was the sunrise which we saw from our room itself. Housekeeping was good, property has a good front garden. A great stay overall. Thank you Shervani for an amazing holiday.

We stayed at Shervani Hilltop, Nainital for 2 nights. Being from Kerala and a pure vegetarian I was apprehensive about the food that we will get at this place. However, the food was above my expectations. I and my family enjoyed the food. They had South Indian fare dosa for breakfast which was a welcome relief from the North Indian cuisine throughout. The chef personally inquired about the food and solicited my feedback, which is good. We enjoyed lunch under the warm Sun in the Shervani Hilltop courtyard as the weather was a bit cold inside the rooms. The Shervani Hilltop room was exceptionally arranged and well maintained. All housekeeping and an extra bed for my 12 your old kid arrangement were above expectations. WiFi worked very well, TV with Tata sky connection was available but channels were limited. Tea and coffee self-service was provided with an electric kettle. Approach Road to the Shervani Hilltop is a bit steep if you prefer walking but they provide complimentary pick and drop up to 7.30 PM from downtown mall Road. Overall I will recommend this Shervani Hilltop to anyone visiting Nainital.

We stayed for 3 nights. Beautiful and well-maintained property at the backdrop of a hill. The check-in was smooth and quick. Since we had a grown-up child, upon our request they immediately changed our room to provide a bigger room with sofa-cum-bed. The ambiance and upkeep of the Shervani Hilltop property was fantastic. We opted for breakfast and dinner inclusive package and all the meals were excellent. The staff at front desk, housekeeping and in restaurant, all are very courteous and helpful. Small things like whenever we stepped out of room while raining staff used to immediately provide umbrella. Special mention of Mr. Lalit of house keeping department who took good care. The restaurant staff provided good and prompt service. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Shervani Hilltop and loved their hospitality and would definitely like to come back. We highly recommend Shervani Hilltop to travelers to Nainital.

The people are wonderful. From housekeeping to manager, they are polite and positive, with an intent to help the guest. Rooms are neat and clean. We stayed from thursday through sunday. For week days, there was a small fixed menu for dinner and we foot bored. We were encouraged not to go ro restaurant. This changed on saturday when number of guests increased and the restaurant was having a proper buffet menu and there was live entertainment also. To conclude, it is better to go on weekends only. Once the Shervani Hilltop charges handsomely like them, they have a responsibility towards the guests. People are not paying in this zone foe clean rooms. Also, plumbing is a bit of a problem.

I stayed with family. Since I booked during peak season, had to pay extremely high price. The MakeMyTrip booking was for a couple while we were a family so had to pay for one child extra. The Shervani Hilltop staff helped in getting a deal for extra. For price you can stay in the best 7 star properties in India. But considering Nainital on a weekend I wasn't sure or any other property. If you ignore the price there is nothing to complain. Extremely good service, helpful staff, good rooms, clean rooms, toiletries of good quality. The location is 2-3 km from mall road. But there is a constant bolero for ferrying to and fro to malli tall throughout the day till 7 PM.

Hotel was great I had a cozy stay for 4 days. Took the package that included food. Food was very tasty but not many different recipes. Most important suggestion I have that really put me off was that they have tables to sit outside every room on the third floor. Other people staying would come sit out early in the morning and create a racket and disturbance which would be really irritating for other guests who have come to merely relax and sleep in those tables should be discouraged and guests should do whatever they have to in their own rooms another point is that they have very few amenities and shouldn't charge for the snooker pool table.

Stayed with family in premium room for 1 night. Room, bathroom were smaller than expected. Should have chosen suites. But overall nainital weather, evening live singing with dinner, views from resort, food and prompt staff service made our stay at shervani memorable. Buffet, both dinner and breakfast, had variety and most of the items were very tasty. Also, the resort has a shuttle pick and drop to mall road, which was a great respite as nainital traffic jams are a big spoiler. We went to mall road, but due to heavy rush of ppl n vehicles, it was even difficult to walk freely. So came back to resort in 1 hr using shuttle.

It was nice to stay here. Loved the ambience but there were short power cuts which were irritating.

It's a 4 star property but I have found much better options in 3 star also. It's too expensive though it's attractive. The architecture is excellent and you will enjoy the surroundings. It would have been better if more open space was available but since it is located in the main city of Nainital it is expected. Finally I enjoyed the stay. Food is really good. Visit this Shervani Hilltop for food and location.

Service at the Shervani Hilltop was very good, however upon arrival first they offered the room with view of their roof top green shades next to the room window where u can not See any thing beyond, however later they changed the room, however since I was travelling with my parents and kids, they could have offered me a room on a lower floor than third, overall quality stay. Since it is hill top be careful while driving to the entrance.
