Shiv Inn Homestay

My stay at shiv inn homestay in darjeeling was memorable for me, as the landlord was extremely helpful in guiding me in all aspects. I would like to list the pros and cons of this homestay. Pros: the landlord is truly superb, always ready to assist guests 24/7 with great enthusiasm. The room is tidy and equipped with basic facilities such as wifi, a kettle, a geyser, and more. The location is close to mall road. Cons: no taxis or autos can access the homestay. Visitors need to walk about 800 meters to 1 kilometer to reach the place. However, the landlord arranges coolies to help with luggage. Also, reaching the place by a 10-minute walk may not be suitable for senior citizens or medically ill patients as there is a slope in this way. After 10:00 pm, the building gate is closed, and guests may be restricted from reaching the homestay before this time. Room cleaning is only possible between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. For a two-day stay, this may not be an issue, but for longer stays, it becomes inconvenient to be present in the room during this specific time without going outside.

It was amazing and beautiful. We stayed in 2 of their rooms and both were amazing. One of the rooms had a private balcony and it was amazing to wake up to the sunrise. The rooms were neat and well maintained. It is just a fun walk away from the main mall road so it was so convenient for us to spend our maximum time near all the fun places. The host, mr. Rajesh is a gem of the person and a wonderful host. His friendly approach and warmth made our stay wonderful. Looking forward to staying there again.

we've been there for 3 days and i found their service atmost satisfying. Rajesh da treated us like family. whenever we needed him he was there for all the services. he booked us cars for sightseeing and drop to NJP and even the drivers were so good. i highly recommend if you're looking for any budget stay and if you are coming Darjeeling in groups or in family then opt for their full view room. it was really amazing. thanks Rajesh ji for making our trip evenmore beautiful✨️

The Shiv Inn Homestay is located in a good location, run by a very good owner and amazing home made food! totally worth the price you pay! from mall road it's just a 5 to 7 minutes walk, locating the homestay was very easy. There's a slight patch (100-150 meters) of downhill road that you'll have to walk to get to the homestay. The owner was cooperative throughout our stay and was very communicative. Overall a perfect stay! the view outside the window was just mesmerizing!

My stay at the shiv inn homestay at darjeeling was very much exciting. The rooms are undoubtedly clean, and very much good enough. The bathroom was excellent, 24 hrs running water including 24 hrs hot water. The view from the rooms are above any comparison. In one word, shiv inn homestay is one of the best stays in darjeeling. The owner is very much friendly and the price is also budget friendly.

Hotel is approx 300/400 meter downhill from top of famous mall road. You have to get down at bhanu bhavan and then homestay can arrange a coolie if you have luggage. Pl choose view rooms as few rooms in the 3rd floor has good view of the valley. Owner is very polite and friendly. They arranged pick up of my suitcases around 4. 30 in the morning as i had to leave early. Nice stay.

It was a nice stay in this homestay as the owner mr. Rajesh ji and his family was very friendly and cooperative. The room and the toilet was clean and had a very good view from the room. The food was very tasty. It was a very homely atmosphere and the stay was good. Only negative thing is the road which is very steep and not suitable for old age people.

It’s a good experience. 350 mtr distance from mall. And have beautiful east facing view. In darjeeling it’s a cost saving stay. Hygiene and cleanliness is very good. They also provide required facilities like taxi and coolie in a very low cost. Morning coffe/tea, drinking water is also available. Food can be ordered and delivered at doorsteps.

Very nice stay, good hospitality and basic amenities are in very good condition. Behavior of the host was really nice.

It was a good experience. It could have been better, but for a decent stay, it was good. Also, the mall road is nearby. You just need to put extra efforts to reach their beacuse of the slope.

The rooms are very good. Behavior of manager named rajesh prasad is very good. Only one worried thing is condition of road from mall to Shiv Inn Homestay is very bad which is difficult for kids and old-age. Other than this Shiv Inn Homestay is very good.

Location average and staff is very good and help full room is very clean and toilet is veer y clean geyser is very small.

It was very pleasant and peaceful. Clean rooms and amenities in working condition. No disturbance from anyone. Good location. Very near to mall road. The host was very humble and nice. Shops and eateries are near by. Nice and cozy room. Very nice mountain view from the room.

It a budget friendly place, for the price paid it is good, but since its in lower tunsong road, for old people it will be problematic climbing up and down from mall.

Mall road se thora door hai. Hotel management behavior is very polite and good. Mall road se walking distance 10 min down mai hai.

Decent stay, if fooding is made available then it will be awesome.
