Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels

Living in a palace has its own feels! the royal experience is like none other. Location: being neighbours with the royal family and next doors to the city palace has its charms. Plus the old city is at walking distance. It's close to some really great cafes as well. Food: the buffet is limited when compared to corporate Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotelss, but everything is top quality. The waffles, south-indian cuisine, confits are especially worth a mention. Hospitality: smiling faces wherever you go. I did feel that foreign tourists get a tad bit more attention than domestic tourists. But overall, the hospitality was admirable. Rooms: the standard rooms are very basic. The en-suite bathrooms are huge and amazing. The suites though, are something to write home about! they are gorgeous! other amenities: golf car access to move around the property and to get pick ups from city palace museum as well. The pool isn't huge, but it is a famous one thanks to its appearance in the jam-es bond movie octopussy! i stayed for one night to experience royalty and it was delivered.

If you want to get a feel of the royal life, perhaps no other heritage Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels could come close to the experience you would get at the shiv niwas palace. It is part of the city palace complex and overlooks the lake pichola at one side. For the money you would pay, you would get a far more luxurious stay at a five star Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels but a modern property wouldn't be able to recreate this ambience. The Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels staff is polite and make you feel at home, even though there seems to be a lack of professional training, particularly when it comes to the restaurant staff. What the Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels lacks is variety in the food it offers, especially the buffet breakfast. Overall, it is not completely value for money but definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

We stayed for three nights at shivniwas palace which was a last minute booking. I would recommend this place to anyone going to udaipur for the first time. The reasons i shall state below - 1. Location - right inside the palace quarters - with golf cart buggy rides available all the time - free for people staying here 2. City palace is accessible at earshot distance 3. Jagdish temple is 50 metre walk from the gates 4. Boat ride to jagmandir is within the palace quarters 5. Sumptuous breakfast ( less choice but tasty ) 6. Rooms are big ( pols note that you should book only lake view or mountain view room ) 7. Lots of spots for photography inside the Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels premises. 8. Absolutely fantastic housekeeping service 9. Very helpful staff at the reception 10. Tasty food at the restaurant but little pricey

I stayed with my family at the shiv niwas palace, it was a really heritage experience with their ultimate good rooms & hospitality. The Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels is located in the city palace pf udaipur. The city palace allows 3 Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotelss like taj fateh, siva niwas & taj lake palace. We choose lake view room with sit out which was the best decision. Their hospitality was the best. The food was also good. The other good thing was they took our ids a day before checkin, so there was no hassle of giving ids while checkin. The only problem which i faced when asked for an early check in was they said it is subject to availability. This was not expected from such a good heritage hospitality Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels.

We stayed at shiv niwas palace Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels from 5-7th november. This is exactly after diwali. So udaipur was very crowded. The best part of the property is its location. Located inside the city palace complex. You can walk down to the city palace museum. There is one more property adjacent to this Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels was taj fateh prakash which is lake facing property. The only thing not so good was the approach road. Due to construction- the roads to the palace is quite congested and there is heavy traffic during the rush hours. Would recommend the Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels to renovate rooms and bathrooms which are quite average looking. But overall it was a great stay.

- view from the room is excellent. Feels like heaven. - location of the Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels is the best one could get. Buggy service is cherry on the top. - room maintenance and amenities average. Great scope of improvement. Though natural palace like feel is exceptional. - food variety in restaurant limited. Taste above average. - breakfast buffet excellent service but spread is very less compared to most 5 star properties. - room service and house keeping was decent. - front reception definitely needs to gear up in hospitality and responsiveness. They should learn from their counterparts in the reception of taj properties.

Stayed on a long weekend with a child in a palace room. Paid 41k for 2 days, for 3 ppl, including bf, which was a bit on the higher side from a vfm perspective. The whole experience of having the palace to roam around, in early mornings and evenings, was awesome. Service was excellent as well. Improvements : some room electricals - tv and bed side switchboard - did not have concealed wiring and the balcony windows were of aluminium, which did not feel like they belonged in a palace. Wall paint was with almost distemper like finish. I am nitpicking here, since i am myself into interiors. Hopefully these would be upgraded to palace standards soon.

We stayed at this property with our 7 months old baby for 2 days. Location - is the best part. The property is literally part of the kings palace and city palace. It is also on the banks of pichola lake. Food - the breakfast menu can be a bit better. Dos a master needs to improve his art. However if you are ok with north indian breakfast, it will be ok for you. Room - the rooms are antique and give raj era feel. The staff are super friendly. We were with an infant (7 months) and the staff helped us a lot with cooking khichdi for our. They are nice to give complimentary stuff for our baby. Thanks a ton for making our effort

Every particle every atom is a total feel of royalness at Shiv Niwas, the never seen never felt hospitality the grandeur the aura of this place is simply majestic. You cant even take your eyes off this magnetic dreamy palace.

The Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels is pretty big and located inside a palace providing large area to roam around

It was the right decision to stay at shiv nivas which is an extension of the royal families palace. We got the room with lake view and it was simply amazing to wake up to every morning. Also the balcony action we used for our late night chit chats along with dinner. The only point i would see can be improved is the mattress it’s spring or coil based and not comfortable for me.

The only property inside city palace with lot of options to explore. If you are booking this explore the property. Staff is very polite and helpful. Bathroom is big with bathtubs and very clean

In the Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels overall experience was very good, i would say if you have budget then stay in this Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels only because what i feel most of the udaipur attraction near palace only and stay in this Shiv Niwas Palace by HRH Group of Hotels will be very helpful and you will get authentic royalty feel over there. Only restaurant needed some improvement in terms of variety and serving. Overall experience is good but if you compare to other 5 star restaurants then shiv vilas definitely need improvement.

The shiv niwas property is located inside the city palace walls and at one time was part of the city palace. You can feel the antique heritage charm of the place with all modern amenities. The staff are always ready help and will happily oblige all requests.

The property is very nice. As it gives u d privilege to travel city palace even in night. But the palace room wasn’t nice at all. The amount u r paying to stay is not at all worth for the room. I will suggest to book trident.
