Silver Sand Beach Resort

Stayed at Silver Sand Beach Resort, Kumta. The restaurant food was delicious, and the staff were very polite and cooperative throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the bamboo cottage (non-AC) stay was disappointing — the room was too small, felt unsafe, and had no space for a third adult despite booking for three people. Adding an extra mattress was nearly impossible, and even after upgrading to an AC room, it still didn’t feel safe or comfortable. The location is good, but the accommodation quality needs major improvement. Overall, food and service were good, but the stay experience didn’t meet expectations.

The resort boasts a fantastic location with direct access to the beach, and the property itself is quite appealing. However, the service leaves much to be desired—staff responsiveness and hospitality were disappointing. The food is average at best, with limited variety on offer.

An excellent property, unfortunately in the wrong hands. There is no professionalism in the service at all. No power back up for A/c, so if for any power failure, u may stay at Non Ac room at the cost of Ac Room. The bathroom flush was not working properly. The reception area is also not maintained properly with cleanliness.

We visited with the hope that the kids would have a great time, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. There’s no Wi-Fi, the TV in our room wasn’t working, and the adventure park was non-functional, leaving limited options to keep the kids engaged. The biggest highlight is the beautiful beach right next to the resort. However, the waves at Vortex Beach are quite strong, requiring careful Adult supervision for children to swim or play in the water. On the positive side, the staff was courteous and responsive, and most of the food we tried was quite good. Rooms were decent, though the air conditioning was very slow to cool. There's ample parking space, but no breakfast included in the booking. We had initially booked for two days but decided to check out after just one. Good for couples or friends group.

location: Good (if you want to stay nar beach) Rooms : Decent(Little expensive) Cleanliness: Ok, little smelly, need to ask for room freshener. Food: Only Limited Food. Order takes time, so better order before you reach there. Taste wise ok ok. Ambiance:Nice. They allow to play on the beach, even night time. But you have to take care of yourself there are no lifeguards.

Super ac deluxe rooms were clean and well maintained. Due to power cut ac was not there for 2 hours. Wifi was not available and food we have to order extra from their hotel.

Apparently room allotted was actually an employee quarter. Tarrif was 5, 500 and at the time of booking itself i had added an extra person. But practically there was hardly any room for an extra bed. There was a shortage of towels and they gave only 2 towels, that too when asked for. The room had major cracks in the structure and tiles were broken. There was no provision for morning and evening tea as the canteen opens at 8 am and 5 pm. The location of the property is really very good but the room was terrible and not even worth paying 2, 000 rupees.

The cottage was terrible, please don't go for bamboo cottages the room has only just the bed, fan and bathroom. They is no place to keep the items and the there are rats in the room. The bags, food and fruits items are eaten by rats when we went out. The beach was good. Food was also not good. Sometimes the water won't be there in the bathroom and we will have to wait for more 30 minutes

Good property and humble staff and great food. One thing to improve is that they should have some formula for mosquitoes. Overall a worth for money stay.

beautiful Beach property

This peaceful beachfront resort is located at bad a beach, kumta which is an hours drive fro gokarna. You can chose from tent, non ac and ac bamboo cottages and ac deluxe cottages options as per the need. Food at the resort is decent. If you have two wheeler or rent one then ferry services from aghanashi river can be taken to reach gokarna instead of the highway.

We stayed here for nights and booked a cottage. It was a wonderful stay. Property - the property is beautiful with a private beach that is quite clean. The rooms were clean, and there are taps outside the rooms, so if you come from the beach, you can wash yourself. This is a very thoughtful. You can see peacocks roaming around in the morning and evening without fear, which i found delightful. The parking space is good. You must enjoy sunset from the beach. Staff - everyone is very polite and helpful. They will assist you with transportation arrangements if you want to go somewhere. Food - the food is good and fresh. When you order, they will prepare it according to your preferences. They even allowed our pet on the beach, and we all had a great time.
