Silver Sand Beach Resort

The Silver Sand Beach Resort is located very close to the port and other beaches. The service is very quick. The staff (salma, priyanka, biren, chaitali) are really realllllly helpful. Extremely nice people and very caring. 1) we had a very quick check-in and also got upgraded at no cost to the cottage. The cottages are beautiful with a small beach nearby (it is not a swimming beach. Neil hardly had swimming beaches) but it's a great beach to relax with swings and chairs. 2) the staff is super helpful. We checked in the night when the government announced the cyclone asani but it wasn't public it. Salma told us about this news and advised us to leave the islands the next morning itself to avoid any island closures. She was super helpful in getting us urgent ferry tickets through her contacts (at no commission mind you) and also helped reassure us that we will safely get back to port Blair. 3) salma and her team checked with us daily to make sure we are safe in port Blair and also have reached our hometowns safely. I haven't experienced such hospitality even from big star giants. Salma, thank you. You are incredible! the reception staff chaitali and priyanka are super sweet and nice and friendly. Overall everyone takes care of you and makes sure your stay is great! i would advise people to stay here. You will really like the kind people and great rooms and a relaxing beach. We stayed at silver sands, neil island for 1 night. The property is really beautiful and well made, and the beach front is very well managed and maintained, though one cannot bathe in the beach due to the dead corals all around neil island. The rooms are nice and clean, and the washroom is also very neat. There were some minor issues in the room like the fan speed and shower speed being very slow, but we did not bother much about it since we were there for a very short time. They had nice decor and music for the evening, which was nice. The thing which was really disappointing was the food. The dinner buffet spread was sub par - no starters, no chinese/continental options and no seafood! there was only 1 sweet, which was also not good, and the indian options were also very limited. Nothing tasted good enough, so we didn't even eat properly. Breakfast was equally bad. The spread was standard, but the poori-sabji, baked beans and whatever else we had were not worth eating. Overall, it's a good place to stay if you're ok eating outside. You have very good food options within 1 - 2 kms distance.

The resort is very close to Neil Jetty. The auto rickshaw or cab from jetty will charge 100 rs. To the resort. The resort is very well designed. The room and toilets are very spacious. The resort has a bar and a restaurant. The restaurant serves delicious food. We tried Paneer Makhanwala, Makhni Dal, Methi Malai Corn and Jeera rice / Butter Naan. We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast - Bread Pakora, Poha, Noodles, Puri Sabji, Idli Sambhar and many more things. Limited WiFi is also available near the reception. You can seat yourself in the two small lounges near reception to access the WiFi. The lounges have glass bottom through which you can see a lot of fishes. The resort also has a swimming pool. You can order food and drinks near swimming pool. The resort also has a SPA.

We stayed in a villa, ground floor and first floor. Wash rooms were very good and well maintained. Service by Mr. Ashwini ( Manager in restaurant is fantastic - I would say - probably the best in such a isolated location. Also Ms Fazelin in reception - excellent personality. Travelling expenses are very high but one has to accept that petrol costs Rs 150. 00 per liter. There is no petrol pump in this island. Petrol come in ship by barrel and sold in bottles ( can we think of this situation any where in main land in our country ??? ). Total permanent population is quite less than 10, 000 ( yes ten thousand only No cinema, No theater, all these people who are working are leading a real tough life. Internet is only 2G and by BSNL.

Superb location, bang on the beach. Resort has it's own little private beach that's very clean, extremely scenic and with amazing quiet, peace and view. At any given time didn't find more than 4-5 people on the beach. The cottage/chalet style rooms/villas look very natural and are very clean and well maintained. Staff (each and everyone) was extremely helpful, friendly and flexible. Resort very clean, well maintained, lots of trees and natural surroundings and overall a great place to lounge around. Quality of food wasn't too good. Scope for improvement there. The pool isn't great. Could use some renovation. Overall, an excellent place to go with family and have a relaxed and peaceful holiday. Highly recommended.

This property is perfectly marvelous in all aspect. It is located at the centre place of neil island and that makes a very perfect location for the tourists to enjoy all the beaches. It hardly took 10 min to reach all the beaches from the resort. Room service is also very very good. They are very quiet and calm. They treat their guests as a family member. Lastly it’s food, all round of applauses for chef (raju mondal), the magic he has with the food is unbeatable. His cooking is a true example of taste that lasts forever in your mind. Had a very pleasant stay at this place. The property was scenic. The room was very good and size was adequate for a couple. The bathroom was definitely the highlight. It was big and had all toiletries soap, shower gel, shower cap, shaving razor, toothbrush, paste, etc. hot water was available 24 by 7. The food was expensive and tasted average. Breakfast was complementary and adequate. The menu was mostly indian. The Beach though accessible from the Resort, was not good for swimming nor snorkeling. It was a rocky Beach full of dead corals. The Resort was a 10 minute walk from the jetty. They also arrange for an auto to pick up/drop to the jetty at a nominal cost.

Hotel experience was fantastic. Hotel location is very peaceful and they have private beach where you can enjoy your evening time. We were very happy that our rooms were upgraded to lagoon cottage since most of rooms were vacant. Couldn't understand the reason for vacancy, amenities were all nice especially swimming pool. It was clean and we had our pool fun to the fullest. Food served was good and they have their bar too. So evening time can be well spent here in resort itself. Scooter services as well as other tourist activities can be arranged by them if you are interested. Staff is very polite and informative so. It was indeed excellent stay.

The stay at silver sand neil island was very good. The air felt very pure and the sky was clear. The beach in the property is well maintained and has huts with wooden laying chairs which are relaxing. I enjoyed the swimming in the pool in the evening before dinner. The Silver Sand Beach Resort staff was cooperative and provided the toiletries and other items as per requirement. . Wish we had more than one days stay there.

Awesome just awesome.. We spent only 1 night there... But its the place for at least 2 nights Crystal clear water... Deep blue. Awesome beaches. Just everything perfect. Loved this place.. Laxmanpur beach is famous for sunset

It has excellent food followed by cool staff. They also have private Beach, pool and spa. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

I just check-out of the Silver Sand Beach Resort and I must say I have been mind blown by my stay here. The property is clean and green with a private beach. The staff is extremely cheerful and friendly. Do pay a visit.

The property is located near the jetty point . It has been maintained really well . The staff is courteous enough … they even upgraded our cottage . I loved their toiletries and hygiene standards . The best part of the property is their private beach which even has a view of backwaters …. Perfect place to spend a lazy vacay day on a private beach in an island … highly recommended 😍

Staff is exceptionally nice. Special mention of Pavan and Dei at the reception. Pavan was kind enough to upgrade our booking. Dei was sweet enough to get some fish food for my child to feed the fish around the reception area, which he enjoyed to the fullest. Sanjeev, the cook who helped prepare which is for my 2 year old and restaurant manager Ashwini. Beach cottages are spacious, super clean and quiet, well equipped with TV and fridge. All in all an excellent stay so much so we were contemplating staying there an extra night only if our return ferry wasn't booked.

Very nice place. Next to beautiful beach. Candle light dinner is nice. Good food. Good atmosphere. We stayed there for 2 days. Finally we thought we would have stayed little more days. Good food and good service.

The Silver Sand Beach Resort is placed very well, and has a lot of well designed rooms. The property is just about an year old and is very well planned and build. All the latest amenities are present. Design and layout is perfectly done with more use of wood. The rooms are basically wooden cottages build in the forest next to the sea, with a beach can be visited but you can't enter the waters from there. Also, the staff is very supportive and well behaved. With help in whichever way possible.

Services were good and room was also maintained. Although I Am not happy with food taste but a win-win status property. Staff was also kind.

The resort is well maintained. Service is also very good. I booked one luxury bliss room which was quite smaller than my expectations. The bathroom was spacious. The location is little inside from the market place which is not a big issue. But the approach road is in bad shape which is beyond their control. I was surprised to face mosquito bites at night. Fond lots of mosquitos were hiding in their wooden shelf. I asked for repellent which was attended immediately. Had a great healthy and tasty complimentary breakfast in the morning.

They have arranged a scooter on demand so remoteness is actually a plus point. Food, property, beach everything was great. But the swimming pool in front of the restaurant was not as per expectations.
