Sinclairs Retreat Ooty

The Hotel location was good had nice City view, and good rooms the food was very good 👍. The Staff were like doing a third party contract except few in restaurant. The corridor was having a unusual bad odour through out, and the house keeping guys were working overnight to mask ot using Amber Stick. Good things 1- Location, 2- Food, 3- View, 4- The premise Architecture, 5- Parking, 6- Garden and surroundings. Bad things 1- The Maintenance, 2- The awareness of staff about the property 3- Road towards the Sinclairs Retreat Ooty 4- Plumbing staff are below standard and Hygienic index is not par with the price. 5- Money we pay is not in par with the service they give totally. Needs more attention from owener or his representative to evaluate reall time factors. Sunil.

Sinclairs retreat ooty is a good place to stay inside Sinclairs Retreat Ooty. The approach road for this Sinclairs Retreat Ooty is very conjusted and some times it can take more than 30min to reach 1km of that approach road. Breakfast is very good but for lunch it is not preferable as they have only 3-4 varieties. I felt that the Sinclairs Retreat Ooty management can really make this a bright active, fun place with the great property they have but it seems they are very lazy and does not want to provide a next level experience to guests. I probably does not go to this place again with this same cost.

We stayed at sinclairs retreat for a short trip of 3 nights with family and friends. Hotel location is little away from the ooty town, but it’s the best part about the Sinclairs Retreat Ooty. View from the Sinclairs Retreat Ooty is just awesome. Outside gardens are very well maintained. Hotel staffs are very cooperative and food is really good but the rooms are little shabby and not having basic requirements like hair dryer. Towels and bed linens are too old. So if you are too fascinated about only good views from the Sinclairs Retreat Ooty lobby and garden area. Then it’s really worth staying here

Ambience, staff, cleanliness etc were all excellent. Inf-act we had left one of our hand bag near the security gate while taking photos and had left the resort. We stopped in the ooty city to buy few things which is when we realised that the handbag was missing. It had cash, card, mobile etc. We went back to the resort and in no time got the bag. After we left, they found a bag lying unattended and hence they kept it with them. Sincere thanks to all the staff and the managers who made our stay very pleasant. Nice location as well.

I stayed two days at sinclairs with family, checked in during an offseason weekday and the Sinclairs Retreat Ooty was almost empty, but on second day there were many guests. Staff is friendly and helpful. Offers great views of valley and ooty town. Very accessible and close to ooty town yet comes with great views. Food is average with limited options for breakfast. Property is not maintained properly- need painting. Some items like coffee and juice we ordered to room was priced at 5star Sinclairs Retreat Ooty level.

Anyone visiting ooty should undoubtedly choose this place to stay. Placed on a hill top zone away from town, this Sinclairs Retreat Ooty offers a serene view of the nilgiris. The rooms are small but good and livable. The housekeeping staff is fantastic. The restaurant offers a fantastic breakfast spread but only glitch is limited menu options for lunch and dinner. The service is also quite slow considering reduced staff. Overall a fantastic place to stay and enjoy!

Sinclairs was quite good we stayed in superior room forest view. The room sizes and restrooms are quite small. The staff were very kind and friendly. The outer view and garden was impressive. This resort was up hill so the weather was very cold and lovely. Everything was wonderful for they could improve on their centralised ventilation. Food was tasty bit expensive and complimentary breakfast had wide variety. Our overall stay was good.

This resort is at the highest peak in ooty. Fully surrounded by large trees covered with clouds. For food i'll give 3 star. Traveller's should visit this resort for the best experience. And it's 7 mins from tea factory and it's walkable distance from tea factory and also eagle adventure games is also 5 mins walkable. For food make sure to make arrangements. For stay experience i would give 5 out of 5 stars.

Good place for a family stay. Nice food, nice ambience, nice outdoors good indoor activities for kids

Good hospitality and nice staff. There are two roads, the one comes via tea museum is good, the other road is bad as well as very risky to drive your own car.

We took a premium room with views of the ooty valley. The room was nice and recently renovated. We got a room heater for the 2 days of stay. The hospitality was impeccable! really great breakfast spread and they also gave us souvenir t-shirts! highly recommended place

We had difficulty finding the location as Sinclairs Retreat Ooty did not have signages and spotting using gmap was very difficult

We had a good stay and food needs improvement considering there needs to be more options. Room service, Helpers were quite friendly. The games section & Spa is in basement and needs more options and cleaning as it has a mouldy smell. But the property in terms of room & breakfast is really decent.

Firstly, the chef mr shoban is the star, helps your family with food choices. Play rooms are excellent way for familytime ( in evening. Our room was jilgiri suite, awesome

Sinclairs was the best Sinclairs Retreat Ooty ever i visited. Awesome location with a great scenic beauty. Food and safety was at next level. Hygiene was well maintained. I enjoyed playing pool one of my favourite and a lot more to play other indoor games. And lastly the staff of sinclairs was very kind and humble. In a nutshell enjoyed my stay at sinclairs.

Excellent location and food quality also good

5 stars for the location, hygiene & cleanliness, staff behaviour, food and facilities. Absolutely loved the stay and recommended. Special mention about the chef for the tasty food and care.

The stay was pleasant, especially the breakfast buffet was very good. The tea & chocolate factory is at a walkable distance from the property. Bathroom area is very small but hygienically maintained.

Staff very good, location superb, my suggestion to provide room warm as aged cannot tolerate night cold, regarding bath room the glass portion visible to room to be closed. Otherwise great experience.
