SMOKY FALLS MAE FI RESORT

I visited the place on 12th November 2019 along with my wife and my mother and stayed there for 3 nights. We reached there at 6 pm directly from Guwahati airport. The road conditions for last 12-15 km is poor. But, we enjoyed the journey through the forest. Atmosphere of the resort was great with 180 degree surrounding view. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Food is of good quality. The most important thing of staying here is it's closeness to Double Decker Root Bridge. One has to climb down 3600 steps to reach there which is one of the lifetime achievement. Next day, we started at 6 am for double decker root bridge and reached there at 8 am. We got back to the resort at 12 pm. We visited all the nearby places at Cherapunjee next day. Finally, on third day we started early for Dawki and return to Shillong. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

The approach road to the SMOKY FALLS MAE FI RESORT is in bad shape. But once you get there you will forget everything. The place is so beautiful, calm, raw Beauty. One can stay as he or she wish to spend time. A resort amidst of mountains and clouds. Family, children, couple or adventurers anybody can enjoy the place. Staffs are cordial and simple. The rooms are clean and fresh. For 3 people the family cottage will be great. For a couple, normal cottage will do. Food is nonspicy and good. The water purifier is available in the canteen. The canteen area is also good for small night parties. 2 to 3 days can easily be passed in this place. Views are breathtaking from the lown area. Mist visit place if you want to spend quality time with family amidst nature.

I have booked the report looking at the scenic view. But I was unaware about the location. Report is somewhat 10 km from Cherrapunji. But it took 30 minutes to reach there. Road was very narrow and one car can easily pass. Further more there is low network connection which increase my trouble. But once I reach the resort I can say it's worthy. I have seen the same view at morning which I was expecting. Resort was clean and staff was very nice. I want to visit double-decker living root bridge and it's treaking starts just 5 minutes away from resort. So it is jackpot for me. Very nice experience except find the resort. I think management should put the sign board so that traveler can easily locate it.

Road approach from Mawshamok till Tyrna is bad but the bad road conditions are well worth it. Once at the place, we were greeted by the most sweetest and courteous staff. The place is well built and planned. The views from the premise will make your jaws drop. The whole area even though some parts were still being developed and construction going on, it was kept very clean. The rooms were excellent, and the bathroom was clean too. The restaurant at the place was spacious airy and clean and served excellent food. Overall had a pleasant stay to always remember. Would recommend it to anyone who loves nature and needs a place of seclusion peace and beauty.

First of all, the location was really good. It was very close to the beginning of the no great trek. And it is completely surrounded by mountains. The most picturesque view. And then the staff was really cooperative. They upgraded our room because of some construction going around on our previously booked room. The breakfast was not included in our package but still they gave us complementary breakfast. Every issue was resolved immediately by their cooperative staff. I would highly recommend it to the others. And finally, the room was very good and spacey. The washroom was the best one I ever had in a SMOKY FALLS MAE FI RESORT. Thank you so much!

The rooms are clean the property is well maintained and it is safe. This was my first trip to meghalaya and i just loved it ) thanks you bran and team from smoky falls for the comfortable stay even though reaching this place can be quite a task with bad roads leading to tyrna village, but once you ate thete it is worth it ) the property tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible

The location and the designs of cottages with the terrace or lawn is amazing. You could sit all day long in the lawn. From my attic styled cottage I could see the waterfall laying on the bed. Food is good and price is fair as per their quality and quantity. If you want to trek to double-decker root bridge and rainbow water falls then this is the ideal stay as the starting point is 1 min walking distance (there are many home stays are available near double decker and could be book on the spot). Surely would love to go again.

Just loved the location, the scene, the rooms, cleanliness, peace, service with smile on the face, the only thing that was not good is the non-veg food. Otherwise the stay must be called the fantabulous stay with lot many things to cheer about. Just the location is far flange but again this is what which makes this place a beautiful and absolute near to the nature. Just avoid night travel there and reach the place before 5 pm to enjoy the environment. Thanks for the experience Smoky Falls and MMT. Cheers!

The SMOKY FALLS MAE FI RESORT was Worth the money

This is the best place for nature lovers, you will find difficulty in reaching to the the Resort due to bad condition of roads but once you will reach there you will forget the pain for driving on such bumpy roads. It's near to the starting point for double decker Beach which is gain an additional advantage. Food quality is awesome with reasonable rates. Best Sun set view from the Resort, I will highly recommend to stay here.

Stayed here for one night. Beautiful location. Road condition towards the SMOKY FALLS MAE FI RESORT is not as bad as some people mentioned. If you are planning to go to double decker root bridge, this is the best place to stay.
