Sodizang Retreat

We had booked a standard room but the manager was kind enough to bump us up to a deluxe room. Our room was huge, very spacious, very clean with an attached balcony and the view from there was just breathtaking! you get to start your morning with a clear view of the mighty kanchenjunga range & lush green pine forests. The bathrooms were clean too but despite having a geyser we never got proper running warm water which was a concern as the normal tap water is ice cold during oct/nov. But apart from that everything was great. The food was decent too and location wise it's nice as it's 5-10 mins away from the main market. The staff was very helpful & provided us with extra blankets & electric kettle when we asked for it. A great place to spend the night if you are in pelling

The stay was really good and value for money. Food quality and price and was also quite satisfactory. The view from the room was spectacular! all the staffs were very good and humble people. However, the car arrangements done by the property manager was overrated. Initially he told us some amount when we discussed over phone, while paying the money at checkout he denied the previous discussion about transport charges and increased all the prices by 500rs. Since he arranged everything quite efficiently with didn't raise questions, but it was dishonest.

We stayed in the Sodizang Retreat for 2 nights with family. Nice location with excellent mountain view from bed and balcony. Entrance from main road may seems to be awkward, but once you enter the Sodizang Retreat, you will forget everything. Fabulous dining hall with delightful view. The behavior of manger(rajuda) and other staffs are also very friendly and always ready to make your stay comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would prefer to stay there in future also.

Good stay and good food. Without doubt one of the favorite Sodizang Retreats i stayed during my time in pelling! upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and l manager, our names were mentioned on the board and we were upgraded to the paradise suite. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience.

We were greeted on the next morning with a wonderful view of kanchenjungha from the room window. The roof of the Sodizang Retreat offered tremendous view during the sunrise, but we were disappointed to find that the gate of the Sodizang Retreat won't be opened before 6 am, which resulted in we being unable to venture out to find better views of the sleeping buddha. The room was also moderately unclean, with strands of hair being found on the bedsheets.

Nicely kept room with serene mountain view, rooms were spacious, hot water was available 24*7. Food was really good and genuinely priced and Sodizang Retreat even customised food as per our need. Hotel staff were very cordial and well behaved. Must say they made our stay memorable. Cheers to Sodizang Retreat management. Just a complain about unavailability of fancy wine/whisky glass to enjoy the evening( it can be easily ignored though)

Stayed here for 2 days. The top floor rooms with kanchenjunga view is so fascinating. Staff’s behaviour is very polite and professional. They serve really tasty food. The rooms are very cozy with clear window to view the majestic mountain. People like raju, nandan are really helpful. I must say it’s a great deal if u book there and you won’t regret. They don’t have jazzy entrance but the room will blow your mind.

Very nice stay in this Sodizang Retreat. We had a family tour. Hotel location and the rooms are excellent with very nice view of the valley and kanchanjangha view. Staffs are very polite & well behaved. Also the foods are very tasty and quite pocket friendly. I would definitely recommend this Sodizang Retreat to my friends and family members.

We had a great stay at the Sodizang Retreat. The Sodizang Retreat manager mr. Raju was really nice to co-operate amd help us in adjusting the dates of our stay. The room had a nice view of kanchenjunga hills. The room was clean and spacious. Overall we had a great experience at the Sodizang Retreat.
