Soul, Varkala Hostel - Black Beach

I had an amazing stay at Soul Hostel! The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beautiful Varkala Beach, which made it so easy to relax by the sea. The vibe of the hostel is super chill, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything you need. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a cozy, laid-back atmosphere. I met some great people here, and the common areas are perfect for socializing. The energy at Soul Hostel is positive and welcoming, making it a great spot for solo travelers or groups alike. Overall, an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Varkala!

It was a great experience for both couples and solo travelers. The place is bustling with people from various cities, each sharing their unique travel stories. I believe it also works well as a destination for a workcation. However, I think the food options could be improved, particularly in terms of offering more realistic prices for locals.

Property is good just walkable from the beach. Rooms are clean but there's no attached washroom and washroom are not closer to room. Morning you have to wait like public place washrooms. To girls that might not be comfortable. No hot water facility as well.

The stay was really nice. I stayed 7 days, the location is prime, the hostel is clean, and the best thing about the hostel is its staff, very supportive and warm. Tried other hostels too, but will this one, the best hostel in Varkala.

Pros: Good clean room, easy check in. Good aesthetics, location is perfect Cons: no lock for the door to dorm, game room closes at midnight which makes no sense because no one’s overseeing the room at otherwise too

The property was really nice, open and clean. The best thing about the hostel was the staff, warm and welcoming. Definetly the best hostel in Varkala

We were group of 3 boys, property was near the beach you can hear a sea shore in property, stay was awesome

Location was near the beach a minute to walk, property was well maintained and clean. Rooms was well

Place is close to the black beach and the cliff, location is great , but the room smelled of cigarettes and the AC was not at all efficiently working

Stay was great. place is amazing for people who are looking for something chill

Clean and hygiene 💯 Stay was amazing and staff were friendly and interactive ❤️. Highly recommended for solo travelling as well as group travellers also.

We had a wonderful experience at soul , it’s like the place actually has a soul , everyone’s so welcoming and friendly, we stayed there for over a week and it was really amazing
