Staying on a houseboat in Kerala was one of the most enchanting experiences I’ve ever had! Cruising through the serene backwaters was like stepping into a different world—peaceful, lush, and brimming with natural beauty. The houseboat itself was a perfect blend of traditional Kerala design and modern comfort, with spacious rooms, clean facilities, and a cozy ambiance that made the stay even more enjoyable. The highlight was, of course, the stunning views of the endless coconut groves, rice paddies, and quaint villages along the waterway. Sitting on the deck, watching the golden sunset reflected on the calm waters, was simply magical. The gentle lapping of the water against the boat and the cool breeze created an atmosphere of complete relaxation. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, always attentive to our needs while giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy the experience. The meals on board were delicious, featuring freshly prepared Kerala delicacies, especially the seafood, which was a treat in itself. Overall, my houseboat stay in Kerala was a dream come true—a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion. I would highly recommend this unique experience to anyone visiting Kerala. It’s the best way to truly soak in the beauty and tranquility of this incredible region!

From getting to the place to the parking to the overall condition of the houseboat needs a lot of work & maintenance. The boats are probably 10-15 years old, and so are all the bathroom fittings and beds, linens, and towels. Bedsheets, pillow covers had holes, towel borders were torn because of overuse, and towels were bald and rough. There was not even 1 hook in the bathroom to hang a towel. The towel holder just above the commode was broken and useless. There was just 1 dim light in the bathroom, making it look even more terrible. There was no bed, and the mattress was on the floor, with a lizard in the bedroom/cabin. The common areas were good, the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time with fellow passengers. Since this was not our first houseboat experience so we knew what was expected.

The South Panorama Casino-1 houseboat provided an amazing experience in the Alleppey backwaters. The staff were incredibly polite, attentive, and made us feel at home throughout the journey. The food was outstanding, with deliciously prepared local dishes that added to the charm of the trip. A perfect way to relax and enjoy the serene beauty of the backwaters!

The food was good, and the fish fry was delicious. The houseboat is excellent and well-maintained. The room was clean, and the view while the boat was moving was really nice. However, none of the charging points were working in the room, and the staff had no solution for it. If we hadn’t brought a power bank, it would have been difficult to manage.

We travel-led alleppey in the first week of nova 24. We selected this boat for our one night stay. It was a great experience. Boat was very clean, with-if available. Food wass awesome. There was a surprise for us in the form of candle light dinner. Staff was very polite and cooperative. I recommend to use this boat house.

It was a wonderful experience overall. The staff was polite and courteous, and the food was delicious. The candlelight dinner added a special touch to the evening. A perfect spot for a day or night outing – highly recommended!

Good Stay. Good food. Comfortable rooms. Clean washrooms. Suggestions - cloth slippers to be provided to all guests as some people might like to be barefoot in various parts of the boat.
