Southern Plaza

Located on a peaceful stretch of southern avenue a clean well maintained room-clean bathroom and modern -aircon and hot water were superb food in the restaurant was ok -average-no local bengali fare available which was a dissapointment-was served quickly by friendly staff-we did not opt for breakfast inclusive package so not sure about the buffet housekeeping could be better-they forgot to replace toilet paper and tea kit everyday and we stayed for 4 nights reception staff could be friendlier -were quite curt and almost rude-on our check out day the receptionist was sleeping and came to the counter just waking up from sleep!lol!his card mahcine did not work and i had to do upi-no big deal but marred a good experience

Southern plaza is located in southern avenue amid-st beautifully planted trees bang opposite anderson swimming club. It is one of the best stays in kolkata, being centrally located to places like kalighat, rashbihari, gariahaat, lake gardens etc. And lake is just 2 mins walking distance. It's well connected at any hour of the day and has some of the amazing eateries near by like mandari, mar-co polo, moharaja, maharani etc. The Southern Plaza staff was very polite and friendly and made our stay very comfortable. They even have an in-house restaurant and travel desk that arranges for cars for a comfortable travel throughout the city. Kudos and all the best to their team.

One of the best Southern Plazas I have stayed in this category. Food was good, staff was over the top helpful and very professional. Excellent location. The environment was so soothing and mellow. I met the owner a couple of times, and I really admire his attention to the smallest detail. The only downside was that the rooms were a little small for 3 people and there were no common areas to sit and work. But this is really me nitpicking. Excellent stay. (4.9/5)

Southern plaza is a well located Southern Plaza on southern avenue, which is well maintained, neat and clean. This is my second stay at this Southern Plaza and i have always found the rooms in excellent condition. Good facilities. Very courteous staff. The Southern Plaza offers a nice buffet breakfast spread - food is good. Overall, i and my wife were happy to stay there. Cheers!

Southern plaza is a nice Southern Plaza on southern ave in kolkata near lake. It has a nice restaurant where breakfast, lunch, dinner are served. I stayed in a premium delux room. It was big enough for two persons. However, towels, cups and electric kettle were not clean. The location was excellent. Many good restaurants within walking distance.

1. Hotel location is excellent 2. Food quality is very good 3. Services are very good 4. Very unhappy about parking facility. They don't have any dedicated parking space or facility of valet parking. For the guests/customers. You have to Park your car on the main road. Though a small parking area is reserved for the owner of the Southern Plaza.

I stayed for 2 days in this Southern Plaza. Hotel staffs were good and supportive. Hotel authority should provide neat and clean bed sheet and blanket covers as I got them dirty. There were very less options for breakfast so they should look into it and provide more options for their customers. Overall my stay was good.

The location is very good. Walking distance from Kalighat Metro. You can access from Golpark side too. The area is peaceful. There is not much option for breakfast. Food is good but the Dosa was average. Overall I am satisfied with the food. They maintain good hygiene and safety standards.

Best &cheaper for family & business

From entering the Southern Plaza to checking out till we got our uber, it was an incredible experience. The room was amazing, food was delicious and they served liquor as well. Checkin and checkout were smooth and loved the overall ambience.

Rooms are comfortable and the staff are very helpful. The only concern with these small Southern Plazas is the safety standards they follow. The passages outside the rooms are fairly natrow. In case of a fire, not sure how people will escape. Overall, positive experience.
