Review of southern star Southern Star Mysore (stay from tuesday, september 10th to friday, september 13th) our overall experience at southern star Southern Star Mysore was very good, deserving of a 4-star rating. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the courteous staff at the entrance, setting a positive tone for our stay. The parking space above ground was excellent, offering convenient access, though it is unclear whether underground parking is available, given the Southern Star Mysore’s central location in the city. The room rates were reasonable, and room service was prompt, efficient, and affordable, contributing to the comfort of our stay. The housekeeping services were also prompt, maintaining cleanliness and regularly replacing towels and toiletries. The room itself was spacious, with the inclusion of an extra dewan, which was a thoughtful touch. Zest restaurant offered an excellent variety of food, and the service there was impeccable, enhancing the dining experience. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. The closet for clothes was poorly lit, and additional hangers would have been helpful. The plug points for charging devices were not optimally placed, which was somewhat inconvenient. Additionally, the bathroom would benefit from better lighting around the shaving mirror, and we noticed the absence of face and hand towels upon check-in. The safety locker posed a challenge due to unclear instructions regarding its use, making it difficult to store items securely. Furthermore, the instructions for contacting Southern Star Mysore services were not displayed prominently and were crowded among other items, such as the table lamp, making them hard to locate, especially for elderly guests. The room also lacked sufficient space for additional storage, adding to the inconvenience. Lastly, we suggest the inclusion of a bold, visible wall clock in the room, as this would be especially useful for guests sharing the space. Overall, while there are some areas for improvement, southern star Southern Star Mysore offers a comfortable and pleasant stay with excellent service.

I recently stayed at the southern star mysore, and overall, my experience was quite pleasant. The Southern Star Mysore is conveniently located, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore the various tourist attractions in the area. Its proximity to key landmarks made it easy for me to navigate the city without any hassle. The room i stayed in was comfortable and well-maintained, providing a cozy environment to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were courteous and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries i had during my stay. Their warm hospitality added to the positive experience. However, there were a couple of issues that i feel are worth mentioning. Firstly, there was a noticeable water leakage in the restroom. While it didn't significantly disrupt my stay, it was a minor inconvenience that i believe should be addressed by the management to prevent future guests from encountering the same problem. Secondly, the Southern Star Mysore's restaurant, although offering a decent variety of dishes, felt a bit cramped. During peak dining hours, the limited space made it somewhat uncomfortable to fully enjoy the dining experience. Despite these minor setbacks, i would still recommend southern star mysore for its convenient location and overall good service. With a few improvements, particularly in addressing the restroom leakage and optimizing the restaurant space, this Southern Star Mysore has the potential to provide an even better experience for its guests.

Southern Star Mysore Hotel live upto its expectations by name and the star rating. We checked in and got a room on 1st floor, we requested for a room with a better view on high rise. We were moved to 5th floor with a hill view. Superior King room was spacious with pretty and simple aesthetics. Bathroom was neat and clean. Property has a big swimming pool, spa and gym. Staff was courteous and helpful throughout the stay. What I loved the most during my stay was - the food and the location. Breakfast was simply delicious and had a wide range of variety. I adored donuts and cute little sandwiches, they were my favourite. Ate a bunch of them. Sambhar was luscious, the taste I was looking for to savour. Overall, I could eat breakfast again and again, it was too good. Property is located at a perfect location. Everything is nearby, Mysore Palace, Zoo, Railway station, Guru Sweet Mart, Mysore market etc. I would highly recommend Southern Star to anyone and everyone who’s planning a trip to Mysore or even want a place to stay, for their unparalleled food and stay. Will definitely visit again and soon, it has been almost a week and I couldn’t get over the donuts!

Our stay was extremely pleasant and satisfying. The reception staff were very courteous, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The bellboy provided excellent assistance with our luggage and was very helpful and polite. Room service was quick, efficient, and performed to a high standard. Although we opted out of the full housekeeping service and did not have them make our bed, the housekeeping staff were considerate enough to provide us with a fresh supply of towels and bottled water. Staying in the room was very comfortable, contributing significantly to our positive experience. The food at the restaurant was quite good. Each dish was well-prepared, delicious, and presented beautifully. The service in the restaurant was outstanding, enhancing our dining experience. Overall, our two-day stay was very pleasant and helped us recuperate from our international travel and jet lag. The excellent service and comfortable accommodations made this stay truly enjoyable.

Location- great food - taste - good presentation - average. No proper service gears given with the food order no napkins tissue in the serving tray. Buffet upkeep - average no breads were there on the buffet had to remind the person present there. No bowls for ****ney/sambar, all service l addles underliner were filled with food someone should check this. Dinner plates had loads of water marks. Water glass had a foul smell. Breakfast tea order was delayed by almost 30mins room service delivery time - really need to look after the in room services. Can’t make the guest wait for 2 hours to serve the food in room. 04 glasses request took nearly 45mins & green salad took 30mins. Had to call back and remind them. That time got to know order was missed to punch in the system and hence got delayed. Anant tried giving personalised service which was not needed. All other guest were observing. Only attention to detail is what required.

Hotel is in the center of the city. If you are travel-ling by your own car, Southern Star Mysore has enough parking space. Room was big and comfortable. Bathrooms and bedding were clean. So, stay wise, my family was happy. I just didn't like their service at their restaurant. They primarily are focused on buffet, so if you plan to take a-la-carte, go prepared for an extremely slow and frustrating service at dinner time. What we ordered was of average quality. Breakfast buffet had some decent options, but variety could have been better. Overall, stay is pleasant, they just need to focus on service and food quality.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of Southern Star Mysore. Everything about the Southern Star Mysore was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Complimentary breakfast was wow!food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. Experiencing pool was fantastic. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

our stay was very pleasant..the buffet breakfast and dinner was excellent 👌..i had ordered a chocolate cake fir my dad's birthday from the Southern Star Mysore..and it was too good..the pool and gardenia area is nice time spent place..would love to visit again.

Excellent staff and hospitality. Food in both breakfast buffet and ala carte is great. Staff is very courteous and prompt with the requests as well.

We booked the property on spot as we are traveling with our little baby. Location is great and easy to find. Receptionist and all the staffs are very welcoming. They provide baby food on request also. Normal food also very good. Rooms are spacious and clean with all amenities. Hotel atmosphere also very beautiful

Location is v good. Food is nice too. Room is v spacious and cozy. Front desk service needs to be improved a lot. Forward thinking is lacking. Desk called me around 10:30 at night to take my mobile number. Because she missed to note whole check in. I was asleep. She also promised to share password of wifi but not yet received.

Stay was quite pleasant and good food. Even the in-house spa facilities were good and reasonably priced.

Stay was good, except that we saw small water leakages in Bathroom and also a lizard 😊 . Otherwise room was maintained well, AC was decent enough and hot water was working too. Breakfast buffet while the spread is good, we felt the place could be maintained well. It was a little unhygienic.

The Southern Star Mysore was fine and good the food was also good they have a nice swimming pool. Breakfast was also good
