Spice Inn

Great experience with our 1 night stay here. Hotel is located in nice location away from town. Actually there is another Spice Inn in Kumily (beside Periyar tiger reserve gate). Paul guided us to right location. He was very kind in welcoming us and also helped us in booking local sight seeing and adventure tour by an experienced off road driver. Hotel is easily accessible as it is on main road from Kumily to Annakara. Coming to room, they had maintained it neat and cozy with ample number of linens and a warm comforter. After driving for 12 hours, it was so relaxing to stay in here. We woke up to a breathtaking view outside Spice Inn with mist, mountains and greenery everywhere. Paul also waived off charges for tea as we were not able to have our breakfast as we left early for off road tour. Cannot comment on food as we didn't have it in Spice Inn but visited local restaurants. Overall pleasant stay and definitely recommended.

The Spice Inn was pretty new and everything had a feel fresh feeling. Rooms were really neat and room service was good. The menu was limited but whatever they served was very tasty. The person in charge of the restaurant had good knowledge about the area and helped us with some really good travel tips. They will also arrange Jeep Safari on request. Cons I could mention is the room that we booked was facing the road, although the traffic is very low it was a little disturbing at times.

Stayed there for one night. Room service is good, staffs are courteous much. Good View from room & balcony. Located at roadside. Foods are good but costly. Wi-Fi is available. Complimentary water tea & coffee & hot kettle is provided in room. Room is small but decorated as shown in picture. 17 km away from Periyar Tiger Reserve. No room for drivers but space for parking. Provides food free of cost & washroom for drivers. Wash of car is also possible.

Nice place for a short visit. Deluxe room was smaller comparatively. Ventilation could have been better. The staff was quite Good, very helpful and friendly. Restaurant food quality is good but the price is a bit on the higher side. Breakfast is served only after 7. 45 am, which does not aid guests who have to leave early in the morning for sight seeing. Overall good experience.

It's well maintained property, especially the coordination among staff is good and they are cooperative. This create a homely environment for us. They guided good places to see like Satram, Elephant ride, Elephant bathing. We also visited plantation maintained by one of it's sister concern and the guide explained about the importance of all plants and trees.

It was pleasant stay with great food and excellent hospitality. The staff were very helpful. Room are very spacious and very well maintained. Hotel is a far from Thekaddy nearly 15 Kms plan it accordingly. This is the perfect place if you are a nature lover ... Surrounded completely by thick foliage that is home to several beautiful birds, squirrels.

I booked this Spice Inn even after seeing few negative reviews in company. Honestly I had a wonderful stay and I really loved the room which was well equipped with amenities. I wanted to have staff were very courteous and polite. Food was excellent for the money they charge. You can book this Spice Inn without any doubt for a safe stay

It was very pleasant when entering the Spice Inn room especially the lights. There are some minor issues like the window doors in the room was slightly shattering in the winds while we were sleeping at night, the tiffin was not readily available to eat at the Spice Inn restaurant and the tea or coffee ordered by us took a lot of time.

Notable commute at a regular basis. Food was alright, rooms were neat and clean. No proper hot water for shower.

Location is away from the city centre but if you have vehicle its a good choice. Restaurant is not working. Still option available within 1km are for food

Room and Bathroom were awesome. Though there are some things like doors and windows to furnish. But location is far from the city still you can enjoy the nature. Facilities are good. Staff were nice.

Our stay at Spice Inn, Thekkady was really good. The staff was really helpful. Only thing that we felt was that food at the restaurant is overpriced.
