SpiceTree Munnar Boutique Resort

We stayed at the Spice Tree, Munnar last week – to celebrate my friend’s milestone birthday. According to both TripAdvisor & Booking.com – The SpiceTree ranks 15th (or farther) in the SpiceTree Munnar Boutique Resort ranking in Munnar. Hence honestly, we weren’t expecting the quality of experience we received. The excellent team at the SpiceTree Munnar Boutique Resort contacts you before your arrival – delivers crisp instructions to the driver who’s bringing you from Kochi airport, asks you if you would like your lunch to be kept ready and is all set to welcome you warmly when you arrive. On arrival, you see a lush green canopy of trees hiding the resort. The whole SpiceTree Munnar Boutique Resort is spread over the Kanan Devan hills in a gorgeous medley with the local trees and land. I doubt there’s any location on the property from where the views aren’t breathtaking. The dining room is perched on the hilltop – with a flower-laden al-fresco balcony and a glass walled – seats inside. The meals are made to-taste and served piping hot. The kitchen team serves glasses of chilled lemonade as you relax at different perches in the property. At breakfast, the chef dishes out crispy-golden Dosa and cheesy masala omelet. We’d bask endlessly in Munnar’s cloud filtered sunlight on one of the three balcony tables with a cup of traditional early flush tea. The rooms are a puddle of natural light – with three sides open, two facing the lush Bison Valley hills. Clean, comfortable, and large rooms also flaunt a fantastic jacuzzi that overlooks the hills. If you don’t mind some steps between the dining area and your room – go for the ones below the reception level. The property has two pools – one of the two is a small, private, infinity pool attached to the library. Make sure you spend one evening there and watch the sun go down from the ledge of you pool. But what shines the brightest about the SpiceTree – is the Team. Kind, friendly, polite, and eager to make your stay perfect. Whether its Dhaneesh Chandra – who spearheads this excellent team, the Chef who is more than happy to treat you to dishes outside his menu or the other staff that never misses to smile when you see them during your stay. So, if you are looking for a stay in Munnar – don’t think further and book yourself a hillside room at SpiceTree.

Location is little bit far away from the main road, but roads was not good for travel. Food was fantastic. All other services was good. The only problem we has was, we ordered for pool villa. I saw some images in internet and the view from pool was very nice to see. We have that in our mind. But when we get in to our space, the view from pool was not good. View from pool was not that visible because of small branches of plants. They should make it very clear visible. But they we complained about that, they come-up with good complements, so we satisfied with that. We have a wonderful l night stay over there.

My wife and I had booked Spice Tree for our honeymoon trip, and it was our first stop, it was a property a bit outside from the main city of Munnar but that's one of its beauty. A hidden nest in the top branch of the mountains. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Rathilesh who, greeted us in was great. the activities, the view, the weather it all made our stay memorable. the food menu was limited but was tasty and the restaurant staff was accommodating as per our request as well. all in all it was money well spent.

- views are good. Service is good. Food is good but south indian options are very less. They recommended a driver for sight seeing who did not cover main tourist attractions. Hotel is located quite far away from the main city. There are no eateries or anything nearby SpiceTree Munnar Boutique Resort so only choice is to eat at the SpiceTree Munnar Boutique Resort. Other than that SpiceTree Munnar Boutique Resort is well maintained and has amazing views since the location is so isolated.

Spice tree is indeed an amazing property. The staff is very helpful, courteous, caring, friendly yet professional. The food is top notch and worth the price, every bite is yum. The stay was extremely pleasant and worth visiting. They org-anise so many complimentary activities that you might not need to even step out of the property. All in all if visiting munnar definitely plan a stay here.

The room was beautiful, we were welcomed nicely. The location is the best. Special mention to all the staff members, their services were commendable. They not once said no to anything we requested for, they went on to prepare dinner that was not in their menu. Overall, a brilliant experience. We went at the right time too, it was raining and the place was just perfect

Spice tree munnar is a top notch property with amazing views of the valley excellent food top class hospitality. Extremely courteous staff very good quality rooms and views from the room. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our stay. Highly recommended for a totally relaxed holiday for everyone.

Nestled in heart of the forest, a little distance away from the main town spice-tree munnar is a charming resort with beautiful rooms, organic food and all luuxury you can dream of. We went for our anniversary and enjoyed it immensely. Would love to visit again.

Location is far from munnar, but excellent sights on the way. Breakfast was good, the a la carte menu was a bit pricey. Service was excellent, overall a great experience.

Good place, wonderful hospitality, foods a bit pricey though. Rooms are wonderful and views are awestruck. They have an in-house spa and games and other activities

Property is situated at very good location on top of a hill with superb view. Hospitality is world class and good is class apart.

Unparalleled hospitality. The staff will leave no stone unturned to make sure you have the best experience possible. This is putting aside the cozy, beautiful & extremely well maintained property. Absolutely loved our short getaway at spice tree munnar.
